Constant diarrhea and gas. Diarrhea bloating rumbling treatment. Main causes and symptoms

Seething in the stomach, which is accompanied by diarrhea, provides a person with a lot of inconvenience and discomfort. This pathological condition can occur in a variety of ways. various reasons and be accompanied additional symptoms. When the first signs of a pathological condition appear, it is necessary to treat it.

Causes of pathology

Gurgling in the stomach can cause discomfort and inconvenience.

Most often the pathological process is diagnosed when sedentary life.

As a result, fatty plugs and microflora disturbances appear.

This has a negative impact on the process of digesting food and absorbing substances necessary for the body to function properly.

In this case, stomach turmoil and diarrhea are accompanied by flatulence. Treatment of a pathological condition is aimed at changing a person’s lifestyle. He needs to walk as much as possible, swim in the pool, play sports, and do morning exercises.

The appearance of a pathological condition is quite often observed against the background food allergies. This is explained by the process of the immune system rejecting certain foods that contain proteins.

Seething in the abdomen can be observed when the patient eats eggs, seafood, pumpkin, legumes, milk, cucumbers, nuts, etc. Allergens cannot be digested independently in the stomach, which leads to a pathological condition.

The cause of pathology is often the consumption of incompatible foods. For example, when consuming milk, cucumbers and herring at the same time, rumbling occurs in the stomach, which is accompanied by diarrhea. Also, when combining kvass with borscht, melon with water, a pathological condition may appear.

To eliminate the pathology in this case, you just need to avoid combining these products at the same time.

Most common reasons

With gastritis, there may be rumbling in the stomach.

Seething in the stomach with diarrhea can appear due to dysbiosis. The occurrence of this pathological condition can be diagnosed against the background of:

  1. Gastritis;
  2. Pancreatitis;
  3. Antibiotic treatment;
  4. Use of cleansing enemas.

When dysbacteriosis appears, not only boiling occurs, but also bloating, gas, diarrhea, and flatulence. Treatment of dysbacteriosis is carried out using medications - Bifikol, Bifidumbacterin, Florin Forte, Probifor, etc.

The prescription of a certain drug should be carried out by a doctor only after a coprogram has been carried out. Prescription of a particular traditional medicine is done only in accordance with the results of the study. To eliminate the process of gas formation during flatulence, it is necessary to take Espumisan or Meteospasmil.

Irritable bowel syndrome may cause stomach turmoil. In this case, the patient develops the following symptoms: gas formation, pain, and diarrhea. Since the cause of this pathological condition is stressful situations and nervous overstrain, the patient must avoid them.

The appearance of diarrhea and flatulence in some cases is diagnosed while taking certain medications - oral contraceptives, antibiotics, antirheumatoid medicines, laxatives traditional medicines.

To eliminate the pathological condition, you just need to stop taking medications. Patients are advised to consult a doctor before using a particular drug.

The causes of abdominal pain and diarrhea directly depend on the patient’s lifestyle. That is why he must monitor his health as closely as possible.

Infection and gurgling in the abdomen

Dysentery causes stomach turmoil.

Intestinal infections are quite common, especially in the warm season.

This is explained increased activity pathogens that can penetrate the human digestive tract. In most cases, the pathological condition develops against the background of:

  • Salmonellosis. By consuming milk, meat and poultry eggs of sick animals, the onset of the disease can be diagnosed. In addition to the seething in the abdomen, when this disease develops, the patient’s body temperature rises, flatulence, diarrhea, and vomiting appear. To avoid the occurrence of an infectious process with rather unpleasant symptoms, it is necessary to purchase food products only in trusted stores. Before eating foods, they must be properly processed at high temperatures.
  • Dysentery. The bacterium is transmitted through water, food or feces of sick people. The disease occurs as a result of the dysentery bacillus entering the body. The disease is characterized by intoxication of the body and weakness. It is quite dangerous in childhood and old age. When dysentery appears, a person’s temperature rises, turbulence in the stomach and diarrhea appear. Feces are characterized by a mucous consistency. Dysentery occurs as a result of poor personal hygiene.
  • Intestinal viruses. The disease is accompanied by seething in the abdomen, liquid stool, and bloating. A sick person may show signs of acute respiratory disease in the form of inflammation of the tonsils, cough, runny nose. Transmission of viruses occurs through the fecal-oral or airborne route.
  • Botulism. The onset of the disease is observed during the period of penetration of the spore-forming bacillus into the body. During the course of the infectious process, a strong poison is formed, which has a negative effect on performance nervous system. The pathological condition is accompanied by gases, bloating, seething, gases, pale skin, paralysis, and blurred vision. The occurrence of the disease can be diagnosed against the background of eating meat products, fish, mushrooms, or home canned food.
  • Cholera. It is a fairly dangerous infectious process that causes epidemics. The disease is characterized by immediate spread. The infection is accompanied by severe diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramps, severe dehydration, and small folds in the skin. During the course of the infectious process, the patient's body temperature does not increase. The source of infection is a sick person.

There is a large number infectious processes that negatively affect work digestive tract. This is why there is rumbling in the stomach, which is accompanied by diarrhea.

First aid

Activated charcoal will help get rid of stomach turmoil.

If stomach turmoil and diarrhea occur due to poor nutrition or normal food poisoning, then the patient can eliminate these unpleasant symptoms on his own.

To do this, it is necessary to normalize the patient’s diet. First of all, it is necessary to determine what causes unpleasant symptoms.

These foods should be excluded from the diet until the symptoms completely disappear.

During the treatment of a pathological condition, it is necessary to remove harmful substances from the human body. For this purpose, enterosorbents are taken. The most commonly used of these is activated carbon. With the help of this medicine, the intestinal microflora is normalized, as well as the elimination of diarrhea and seething.

In order to normalize the functioning of the digestive tract, local physical activity is used. With the help of a set of physical exercises, digestion is normalized, as well as general condition is improved. gastrointestinal tract.

Traditional medicine can be used to treat unpleasant symptoms. The most common use of infusions is based on the seeds of plants such as caraway and dill. To prepare the medicine, you need to take one tablespoon of the seeds of any plant and pour 1000 milliliters of boiling water.

Infuses folk remedy 2 hours. After this time, the medicine is filtered and used for oral administration three times a day. A single dose of the drug is 100 milliliters.

Subject to availability severe diarrhea, stomach turmoil, watery stools, the patient is advised to seek help from a doctor. With severe diarrhea, there will be an imbalance of fluid in the human body, which will negatively affect health.

That is why a person, when these symptoms appear, needs to constantly restore water balance in the body. For this purpose, it is recommended to drink at least two liters of water per day.

Abdominal gurgling and diarrhea can occur for a variety of reasons. This is a rather uncomfortable condition that negatively affects a person’s quality of life. That is why it is necessary to carry out its treatment in a timely manner.

The pathological condition is observed against the background of a person’s unhealthy lifestyle or as a result of various infectious processes occurring in the body. To combat stomach turmoil and diarrhea, it is necessary to take certain medications that will eliminate the cause of the pathological condition.

You will learn about the causes of pain and rumbling in the stomach from the video:

The presence of constant or frequent loose stools in adults is an indicator of diarrhea. A pathological condition of this kind can be of two types - chronic or acute, depending on the cause of its occurrence. Serious illnesses gastrointestinal tract develop due to a viral or bacterial infection that has entered the body. However, these are not all possible reasons that can cause liquid feces.

What is loose stool

A disease characterized by loose or foamy stools, medical practice commonly called diarrhea. This syndrome is often accompanied by pain in the intestinal tract, indigestion, or high fever. Possible causes of acute or chronic diarrhea are intestinal infections and food poisoning.

Unformed stool in an adult long time– this is very dangerous syndrome, which can lead to dehydration and serious health problems. Violation water-salt balance in the body threatens the development of irreversible pathological changes, therefore, if signs of digestive upset are detected, you should immediately seek help from a doctor.

Reasons

Watery stools cause a number of reasons, the most common of which are: intestinal disorders due to poor quality or spoiled food, as well as acute infections such as salmonellosis and dysentery. Chronic inflammatory diseases can affect the occurrence of diarrhea or liquid stool. Other factors that influence the appearance of watery, prolonged diarrhea include:

  • the body's response to taking medications;
  • metabolic disorders;
  • symptoms of dysbiosis;
  • chronic gastrointestinal diseases;
  • stress;
  • irritable bowel syndrome;
  • worms;
  • damage to the intestinal mucosa;
  • food allergy.

Loose stools in an adult for a long time

With a high frequency of bowel movements in adult patients, there are complications in the gastrointestinal tract, which are accompanied by vomiting and other unpleasant symptoms. In some cases, liquid stool is considered normal, such as during pregnancy. All other precedents indicate an intestinal disorder, therefore profuse infectious diarrhea with foul odor can only be stopped with therapy.

Soft stool in an adult for a long time is considered an unfavorable condition that causes signs of dehydration. To prevent liquid stool, doctors recommend that men and women follow several rules. Be sure to wash fruits and vegetables before eating and cook meat or dairy products. It is important to always check the expiration date of the purchased product and under no circumstances consume spoiled food.

Loose stools, but not diarrhea

Few people know, but there is a difference between liquid feces and diarrhea. In a healthy person, bowel movements occur once or twice a day, which is considered normal. As the amount of fluid increases, the consistency of stool changes, which indicates health problems. Unlike diarrhea, which is temporary, the duration of this phenomenon is a couple of weeks.

Liquid feces is a chronic illness that, without proper treatment, can become a constant companion of a person. This reaction from the body sometimes occurs due to a sudden change in diet, for example, vegetarianism. In this case, the color of the stool will have a greenish tint, which indicates large quantities absorbed fiber. The cause of a constant urge to go to the toilet may be an infection, so normalizing bowel function is possible only after undergoing treatment.

Twitching stomach and loose stools

Stress, overeating, food poisoning can lead to stomach churning. However, if semi-liquid stool is added to these symptoms, then there is cause for concern. Unlike children, the appearance of constant mushy discharge in an adult throughout the week signals problems in the functioning of the stomach. Consistency feces however, it can take different forms depending on the cause of the disease. Frequent loose bowel movements cause:

  • oncological diseases;
  • intestinal infection;
  • Crohn's disease;
  • stomach ulcer;
  • appendicitis.

In the morning

Some people suffer from daily abdominal discomfort in the morning. This problem It has no gender and affects both women and men equally. Organ pathologies are considered to be provoking factors for discomfort, which may be accompanied by flatulence. abdominal cavity or other systems. Patients experience somatic and visceral pain.

The first type is characteristic of irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa, which is a frequent companion to chronic gastritis. Unpleasant sensations in the abdominal area become regular, poisoning a person’s life. Visceral pain appears due to the reaction of nerve endings to various irritants. With this pathology, discomfort is not localized in different places.

The stomach does not hurt, but the stool is loose

Digestive disorder, which is characterized by the absence of symptoms of diarrhea, such as fever, indicates the presence of a pathological process in the human body. In case of mild food poisoning loose diarrhea without abdominal pain it should go away on its own within a couple of days. If the situation remains unchanged over a long period of time, then there is every reason to seek medical help.

Rotavirus infection is most often observed among young children. However, adults can also be affected by it. Doctors know exactly what to do if you have loose stools, so if you suspect an infection, you should immediately go to the hospital. Sometimes mushy discharge appears due to severe stress or nervous tension. To solve the problem, you should at least temporarily change your occupation.

Liquid yellow stool

The color of stool can tell a lot about a person's health. So, if a patient regularly has black liquid stool, then there is an open ulcer in the stomach. Yellow and green chair characteristic of a bacterial infection, in which a person is forced to visit the toilet six to ten times a day. When any problems arise, the body seeks to remove negative infestations through the mouth or anus. Liquid stool mixed with mucus or blood is a serious symptom, and if it occurs, you should call a doctor.

After eating

Liquid diarrhea after each meal is called functional diarrhea. This reaction of the body to food indicates disturbances in the functioning of the intestines. They can be either temporary or permanent. Probable reasons Liquid feces are considered: dysbacteriosis, intestinal infection or “bear disease”. If the body cannot cope with the digestion of food, it will try with all its might to cleanse the gastrointestinal tract, which leads to diarrhea.

Diarrhea and gas

Flatulence and diarrhea often appear together due to the interconnected functioning of all gastrointestinal systems. When gases accumulate in the intestines, pathological processes in the body are triggered, which interfere with its normal functioning. Therefore, a person will soon experience diarrhea. For a child in the first months of life, this state of affairs is considered the norm. As for adults, it is liquid green feces and flatulence signal the presence of diseases such as hepatitis or dysbacteriosis.

Blood mixed

Blood in the stool is an unfavorable symptom that can be caused by the most different departments Gastrointestinal tract. Discharges are not always visible to the eye; sometimes special ones are required to detect them. laboratory tests. However, if blood impurities are visible, it means that the damage is localized at the intestinal level. Traces of fresh blood in liquid stool indicate cracks in anus or hemorrhoids.

Diagnostics

If symptoms of diarrhea occur, it is recommended to consult a proctologist or gastroenterologist. The specialist conducts comprehensive examination the patient's digestive tract, after first performing an external examination. With the power of instrumental endoscopic techniques, the doctor can detect damage to the mucosa or other parts of the gastrointestinal tract. If necessary, the following procedures are carried out:

  • coprogram;
  • bacteriological culture;
  • examination of stool for worm eggs;

Treatment

To restore intestinal function, complex therapy is used, which involves the use of a variety of methods of healing the body. During treatment, the patient must follow a strict diet and temporarily exclude from the diet foods that stimulate the secretion of hydrochloric acid. In addition, antibacterial drugs are used, which should be taken every day.

Drug treatment

Before getting rid of loose stools, patients undergo antibiotic therapy, including drugs to suppress pathogenic microflora in the intestines. These include prebiotics, antibiotics wide range actions and enterosorbents. Treatment is prescribed only by a specialist. The best choice is combined agents, such as Nifuroxazide, which do not cause additional harm to the body. This drug is destructive for most intestinal infections, for example, Vibrio cholerae, Salmonella, Klebsiella.

It has a pronounced bactericidal and bacteriostatic effect, the result depends on the dose taken. The drug disrupts the process of protein synthesis and inhibits the activity of the dehydrogenase enzyme. Nifuroxazide does not affect the normal intestinal microflora, and therefore does not harm the patient’s health. Adsorbents are used as symptomatic medications for liquid stool, which slow down gastric peristalsis and promote thickening of stool. These include drugs such as Loperamide and Somatostatin.

They successfully regulate intestinal motility and affect secretory function, thereby reducing the amount of fluid and feces released. The drugs increase the tone of the anal sphincter, due to which feces are retained. If liquid bowel movements were caused by an infection, then drugs that reduce intestinal motility are not used.

Gentle diet

If you have loose and smelly stools, it is recommended to follow a diet that excludes the consumption of fatty, salty or smoked foods. The diet should mainly consist of fresh vegetables and fruits, meat products must be properly thermally processed. Boiled or baked foods are allowed. Before eating, you should wash your hands thoroughly to avoid intestinal infections and food poisoning.

Video

Diarrhea has occurred in every person's life. But not everyone knows the reasons for the appearance, what to do in such a situation and how to prevent similar cases in the future.

Why does the stomach growl and diarrhea occur in adults?

Diarrhea is not an independent disease, but a consequence of dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract. There are many reasons for the occurrence of dysfunction:

Antimicrobial drugs are not selective, destroying any microorganisms. The consequence of use is dysbacteriosis, which disrupts the digestion process.

Why does a child have diarrhea and a grumbling stomach?

The body of a child, especially one under 1 year of age, is very different from that of an adult. The immune and digestive systems are formed or do not function fully. Therefore, children are often susceptible to this symptom.

In children under one year of age, a distinction should be made between diarrhea and loose stools. For a baby, loose stools are a consequence of feeding with milk or a milk substitute. Diarrhea is an abnormal phenomenon and requires elimination.

The main causes of rumbling in the abdomen and diarrhea in a child include:

  • Violation of the diet by a nursing mother (for children under one year);
  • Eating dirty fruits, berries, sweets;
  • Inability to digest certain foods;
  • Food allergies;
  • Poisoning from household chemicals;
  • Lack of personal hygiene;
  • Infection with helminths.

Treatment of diarrhea in children

You should not treat the child yourself, but providing first aid is recommended. It is allowed to take sorbents and replenish fluid loss with special solutions.

In addition to taking medications, you need to make the diet gentle on the gastrointestinal tract. Heavy foods (fried, fatty, smoked), carbonated drinks, apples, beans, cabbage, tomatoes, and baked goods are excluded from the diet.

Products allowed for diarrhea:

  • Rice porridge and oatmeal without adding milk;
  • Kefir, yogurt;
  • Mashed potatoes with water;
  • Lean meat (chicken or turkey fillet);
  • Crackers.

Children's diseases develop rapidly, so you need to carefully monitor the patient's condition and, if the condition worsens, immediately contact a medical facility.

Stomach rumbling and diarrhea in pregnant women

For women in the “position”, digestive disorders are normal. This is due to several processes that occur exclusively during pregnancy:

Associated symptoms

Diarrhea in many cases is accompanied by a number of unpleasant symptoms:

  • Temperature rises to 38.5. This is a serious symptom that signals the onset of an inflammatory process in the body.
  • Nausea and vomiting. Nausea and dizziness occur with mild poisoning. In severe poisoning, vomiting is profuse and can lead to dehydration.
  • Belching. The manifestation of a symptom indicates a violation of the diet or functioning of the digestive system. Belching after eating is caused by swallowing excess air along with a bolus of food.
  • Abdominal pain. Pain in the left side is a signal of difficulties with the stomach or pancreas. If it hurts near the navel and below, the intestines are not in order. Pain with right side– problems with the liver, gall bladder or appendicitis.
  • Flatulence, or, in other words, bloating. The cause of the symptom is the gases released by bacteria when digesting food. Occurs for reasons similar to diarrhea.

What can the color of loose stool tell you?

Yellow color indicates excessive intestinal motility. His muscles are working harder than usual. Therefore, seething and slight pain in the abdomen may appear.

Stool becomes green if diarrhea is caused by an infectious disease. This color is acquired due to pathogens and leukocytes. Mucus is often present and smells rotten.

White feces confirm the fact of unsatisfactory performance bile ducts due to cholelithiasis.

Black color indicates internal bleeding. Blood, passing through the gastrointestinal tract, acquires a similar color. Consumption of certain foods (blueberries, beets) and medications (activated carbon) gives a similar effect.

The presence of red streaks in the stool may indicate damage to the intestinal walls, tumor disintegration, or the appearance of holes in the gastrointestinal tract due to an ulcer.

Mucus in diarrhea indicates intoxication of the body. By its color it is possible to determine the degree of poisoning. If the mucus is clear, it is minor. Brown, green or in the form of foam indicates the opposite.

Excess water in the stool is a symptom of cholera. Its pathogen, penetrating the intestines, causes it to secrete more digestive secretions. This can lead to dehydration and death.

When to Seek Medical Help

Medical intervention is necessary if loose stools do not go away within 2-3 days, and the body temperature constantly remains at around 39. If streaks of blood appear in the stool or it contains mucus, this is a reason to immediately seek medical help. These symptoms may simultaneously signal peritonitis or internal bleeding.

How is the disease that causes diarrhea detected?

The gastroenterologist prescribes a laboratory examination, the list of which includes:

  • Analysis of urine, blood, feces;
  • Ultrasound examination of the abdominal cavity;
  • Examination of the esophagus, stomach, rectum and colon.

Based on the events preceding the disease (disease history) and the results of examinations, a diagnosis is made and treatment is prescribed: outpatient or inpatient. This depends on the patient’s condition at the time of examination.

What to do if an adult has diarrhea and seething in the stomach

Sometimes there is no need to go to the hospital to eliminate dysfunction, since it often appears due to a diet disorder. After diarrhea, it is permissible to take activated carbon yourself in a dosage of 1 tablet per 10 kilograms of weight. There is no point in taking other medications after charcoal - it neutralizes the active substances. It is allowed to cleanse the intestines of irritants with an enema.

To replenish lost fluid, it is recommended to take Regidron solution. You can buy it at the pharmacy or prepare it yourself: dilute 1 teaspoon of table salt and 4 teaspoons of sugar in 1 liter of boiled water. The resulting solution should be taken every 5-10 minutes, a teaspoon for children and a tablespoon for adults.

If the measures taken on the 2nd day of illness do not have an effect, you must call your local doctor at home or go to the emergency room of an infectious diseases hospital.

Treatment prescribed by a specialist involves the use of antibiotics and drugs that stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria at the patient. In addition to medications, you need special diet, compliance with which speeds up recovery.

Nutrition for diarrhea

The presence of gastrointestinal dysfunction forces one to refuse:

  • Alcoholic drinks and coffee;
  • Fatty and fried foods;
  • Any products containing yeast.

It is recommended to include rolled oats or rice porridge, fruits, and boiled vegetables in the diet during treatment. Fermented milk products are good helpers in restoring microflora: kefir, yogurt, fermented baked milk. Water should not be neglected - it is vital for the body.

Prevention

To avoid the appearance of such an unpleasant symptom as diarrhea, you need to follow simple to follow tips. The habit of keeping your hands clean and washing them after a walk, visiting the restroom, or contact with an animal is a guarantee of good health!

Fruits and vegetables should be washed thoroughly. You can use regular toilet soap. And when cooked, they cook well.

Meat, milk, eggs - listed products must be heat treated before use.

You should not eat sour food ready meals. Products that have expired should be thrown away. You shouldn’t rely on “maybe” and risk your health.

Diarrhea is an unpleasant, painful, unexpected phenomenon. Its appearance signals a serious malfunction in the body or nutrition. Incorrect treatment or absence can cost a person their life.

The gastrointestinal tract is exposed heavy loads due to the intake of fatty or spicy foods, toxins, alcoholic beverages and the constant attack of microorganisms and viruses.

Therefore, bloating and diarrhea often occur, which signals problems in the body. There are many reasons for the occurrence of this condition, sometimes it can be one-time, but in case of malfunctions internal organs this pathology becomes chronic.

IBS

This disease is caused by a malfunction of the nervous and central nervous systems and is associated with functional disruptions of the gastrointestinal tract. Irritable bowel syndrome is often a hereditary disease and can be caused by childbirth and pregnancy, poor diet, etc.

Irritable bowel syndrome is divided into 3 types:

  • Frequent diarrhea.
  • Increased gas formation.
  • Frequent constipation.

If the volume of feces increases, the intestinal walls stretch, peristalsis becomes stronger and provokes diarrhea.

As soon as the intestines are filled with solid contents, then constipation started.

The number of bowel movements can vary from 3 times in 7 days to 5 times per day. The structure of feces can also be different: from watery to dense consistency.

In addition, nausea is observed, attacks of vomiting are possible, and discomfort in the abdominal area is possible. The pain can be localized in a specific area, or it can be wandering. She might be different intensity. In addition, the patient is bothered by bloating, increased gas formation. These symptoms are worse during the day. The patient also begins to experience sleep disturbances and anxiety.

Dysbacteriosis

Seizures appear at the corners of the mouth, a rash appears on the skin, the patient quickly gets tired, he often feels weak and has a headache.

Lactose intolerance

Typically, the symptoms of this disease depend on the degree of lactase production.

Most often, after eating dairy products, a lactose intolerant person begins to feel nauseous 30 minutes to a couple of hours after eating.

The patient's intestines begin to rumble, vomiting may occur, pain may begin, and even convulsions may develop.

In children, such signs may be supplemented poor appetite, attacks of vomiting. The child is irritated and capricious.

All these manifestations begin after consuming dairy products.

Celiac disease

This is a hereditary pathology characterized by the destruction of intestinal villi by proteins (gluten). The second name of the disease is gluten enteropathy. Because of it, the small intestine atrophies and the absorption of fats and carbohydrates is impaired.

Clinical picture:

  • Alternating diarrhea and constipation.
  • Feces containing undigested food debris.
  • Blood in the stool due to ulceration of the intestinal walls.
  • Possible internal bleeding.
  • Sharp pain, similar to contractions, starting after eating.
  • Bloating and rumbling in the stomach.
  • The patient is feeling nauseous.
  • Rapid dehydration of the body begins.
  • Nails break, hair flakes.
  • Aches muscles and bones.
  • Anemia develops.

Intestinal obstruction

As a rule, this the pathology is characterized by three main symptoms:

  1. Abdominal pain localized in the navel area.
  2. Constipation, stomach is swollen, gases do not pass away.
  3. The patient is vomiting.

As the disease progresses, the patient's abdomen swells to an irregular shape, severe loss of moisture, thirst, and dry mouth occurs.

Then fever, peritonitis, shock develop, and the patient’s death is possible.

The vomit is yellow at first, then its color and smell changes to the color of the stool. The stomach is seething, it “cuts”, and strong cramps begin. The processed waste seems to flow back and forth throughout the intestines; there is no relief after vomiting.

Internal bleeding may cause bloody diarrhea.

Poisoning

This is the state develops due to toxins entering the blood, which disrupts the functioning of internal organs. Thus, the patient’s body reacts to an infection that affects the intestines. The degree of severity depends on what the person was poisoned with and how serious the damage was.

The patient begins to experience severe weakness of the whole body and shudders. Sometimes there may be a rise in temperature, severe migraines begin, and aching muscles and joints.

The patient is lethargic, often vomits, has flatulence, bloating and diarrhea.

Intestinal infection

The reason for this condition is entry of pathogenic microbes into the body.

Clinical picture:

  • Sharp intense cramps in the abdomen.
  • Diarrhea.
  • No appetite.
  • Sleep disturbances begin.
  • Immunity problems.
  • Increased gas formation.
  • Migraines.
  • Possible apathy.
  • Nausea with vomiting.

Pancreatitis

The pancreas is responsible for the production of insulin and the secretion of enzymes. If a person develops acute pancreatitis, then the symptoms of the disease are similar to poisoning, intoxication of the whole body begins.

  • The pain is constant, cutting, localized near the navel (right or left).
  • The temperature rises.
  • The pressure rises or falls.
  • The skin turns pale and becomes gray-earthy in color.
  • A person feels sick: vomit with bile.
  • Bowel problems (diarrhea or constipation)
  • With diarrhea, the stool is foamy, the smell of feces is foul. It may contain particles of undigested food.
  • With diarrhea, there is bloating, and with constipation, on the contrary, the abdominal muscles become hard.
  • The patient is sweating and breathing heavily.
  • Blue-green spots may appear on the skin.

Gastric candidiasis

This is a common fungal infection that is difficult to see in the initial stages. The patient's appetite decreases, in the mouth when eating bad taste, the swallowing process may be disrupted.

A person feels sick and vomits; in this mass there are white veins, similar to cottage cheese.

If the stomach is affected, stool disturbance occurs. The stool is watery with mucus and white streaks.

Pain begins in the upper abdomen, similar to pain with gastritis. The oral mucosa may be covered with a white coating.

The temperature may rise.

Often there is bloating, lethargy and decreased performance.

Gastroduodenitis

This is an inflammatory process of the mucous membranes of the duodenum. It is characterized by nausea, pain in the upper abdomen, and a feeling of fullness in the stomach. In its clinical picture, this disease is similar to gastritis:

  • Abnormal stool.
  • Rumbling in the intestines.
  • The patient does not want to eat anything.
  • Belching occurs.
  • There may be constipation.
  • Sleep disorders.
  • The man is lethargic.
  • The skin is pale.

Nonspecific ulcerative colitis

This inflammatory disease V chronic stage, it affects the intestines. Characterized by ulceration of the surface of the mucous membranes.

Clinical picture:

  • Availability false urges to defecation.
  • Bleeding from the anus. There may be pus in the blood.
  • The stomach hurts on the left side, the nature of the pain is cramping.
  • The stomach is bloated.
  • No appetite.
  • Weight loss occurs.
  • Abundant stool, constant defecation, frequent
  • Decreased pressure.
  • Fever.
  • Aches in muscles and bones.

Crohn's disease

Symptoms of this disease may be different, depending on which organ is affected by the pathology. Crohn's disease is characterized by elevated temperature body, chills and fever.

If the temperature is above 40 degrees, it means that suppuration has begun.

Clinical picture:

  • Weight loss.
  • Constant diarrhea.
  • Periodic abdominal pain.
  • Ulcers.
  • Intestinal obstruction.
  • Fistulas and internal bleeding.
  • Problems with the immune system.
  • Pain in the joints with subsequent limitation of their movement.

Other reasons

  1. Stress.
  2. Inflammation in the intestines.
  3. Changes in hormonal levels.
  4. Food allergies and intolerance to certain food groups.
  5. Constipation.
  6. Quick meal.

Features of the condition in children, pregnant women, and the elderly

Children

Most common bloating in children caused by food allergies, intestinal dysbiosis or intestinal infections.

If diarrhea with bloating occurs after eating certain foods, you should remove the product from the diet and the stool will soon return.

To normalize the intestinal microflora I use probiotics.

It is necessary to ensure that the body does not become dehydrated.

This condition is very dangerous for the baby.

If an intestinal infection is present, a doctor’s appointment, diagnosis and appropriate treatment are necessary.

Pregnant women

Diarrhea with bloating in pregnant women occurs due to problems with the pancreas; if a woman eats a lot or eats foods that are difficult to digest; Similar problems arise with pancreatitis, cholecystitis, ulcers and other diseases. Another reason is hormonal changes and an unbalanced menu.

Flatulence is dangerous for a pregnant woman because it can cause miscarriage, premature birth, pathologies in the child himself or his underdevelopment are possible.

Elderly people

After 60 years, the absorption of nutrients worsens, the liver and pancreas work worse.

Food begins to be digested worse, which leads to the appearance of putrefactive microflora and bloating.

Dental health also plays a significant role; the worse food is chewed, the worse food is digested.

Bloating is often associated with abdominal pain due to stretching of the intestinal walls and irritation of the nerves.

In addition, medication treatment is indicated for older people.

Treatment

Treatment for this condition should be comprehensive and include proper nutrition, medication, and physical activity.

If desired, you can supplement the treatment folk recipes based on herbs.

Nutrition

It is important to correct the diet, for example, the patient must completely exclude foods that enhance the fermentation process in the intestines.

If there are problems with food allergies or intolerances, then what provokes the allergic reaction is removed from the menu.

All food should be chewed thoroughly; do not eat too quickly.

Healthy lifestyle

Medicines

To eliminate the causes of diarrhea and bloating, medications may be prescribed that eliminate unpleasant symptoms.

Doctors often prescribe Imodium, which “strengthens” the stool and stops diarrhea, and also improves the digestion of food and the absorption of nutrients.

When should I see a doctor?

Consulting a doctor is mandatory in the following cases:

  • Intense pain.
  • Severe vomiting.
  • Blood in vomit.
  • Blood in stool.
  • No appetite, sudden weight loss.
  • Fever.

Drug treatment

Loperamide

Release form: tablets, capsules, syrup, suspension. Active substance: loperamide hydrochloride. The listed symptoms may indicate the presence of a more severe pathology, manifested by a feeling of fullness in the stomach. Allergic reactions, poisoning and bleeding are especially dangerous.

Main reasons

A feeling of a full belly is a gastrointestinal alarm signal.

There are a wide variety of pathological conditions that can cause a feeling of a full stomach.

To the very trivial reasons include increased gas formation in the intestines, dysbiosis, excessive swallowing of air and impaired digestion of food.

However, bloating can also be a symptom of allergies. hormonal imbalance, dysfunction thyroid gland and intestinal pathologies.

It is necessary to deal with the symptom itself. The feeling of fullness in the stomach may be accompanied by objective bloating or limited to internal discomfort. Visual signs of bloating indicate overcrowding in the digestive tract.

In some cases, this is a stomach filled with food masses or air. In other cases, it is the intestines filled with gases. Absence external signs bloating accompanied by discomfort often indicates functional disorders stomach.

Food is stored in the stomach for a relatively short time, usually for 2-3 hours. The retention of food masses in the organ is accompanied by unpleasant sensations. This condition may be associated with eating large amounts of food or disruption of the stomach and intestines.

Food retention can also be associated with low gastric acidity. Food must be processed before it enters the intestines, but lack of acid slows down digestion.

Fullness of the intestines with gases is usually associated with the activity of bacteria. Microorganisms in the large and small intestines normally help the body absorb useful substances and digest fiber.

Disturbance of the bacterial balance is accompanied by the appearance negative symptoms. Pathogenic bacteria can begin to digest undigested food debris and release large amounts of gas. In this case, harmful bacteria often migrate to the small intestine, where more food is contained.

Diseases and pathologies

A constant feeling of a full stomach is a reason to consult a doctor

Listed above pathological mechanisms are not always the culprit of bloating. The sensation can also occur against the background of the development of diseases that are not always associated with the processes of food digestion.

A feeling of fullness in the stomach can be a symptom of the following pathologies:

  • Inflammatory diseases. Bacteria, viruses and autoimmune processes can damage the walls of the digestive tract and disrupt the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Such diseases include ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, gastritis and gastroduodenitis. Dyspeptic disorders often cause bloating.
  • Fluid retention. Normally, the body constantly eliminates excess fluid through urine. Various disorders can cause fluid retention in the abdominal cavity. These may be liver pathologies and oncological processes.
  • Constipation. Large intestine forms feces and removes them from the body within 24 hours. Retention of feces in the intestinal lumen may be associated with impaired motor activity of the intestinal walls and lack of fluid. The accumulation of stool in the intestines also leads to an increase in the amount of gas due to obstruction.
  • Food intolerance. Individual metabolic characteristics can cause intolerance to various foods. Intolerance is not an allergic reaction, since this process is associated with impaired absorption of the nutritional component. The most common conditions are gluten and lactose intolerance. In people with this disease, consuming an indigestible product leads to bloating, diarrhea and vomiting.
  • Intestinal bacterial overgrowth syndrome. This disease is associated with an imbalance of intestinal bacterial colonies. The cause may be a pathology of the intestinal structure or reproduction pathogenic microorganisms. Harmful bacterial colonies produce gas and toxic substances. Characteristic symptoms of the disease include bloating and diarrhea.
  • Infection. Bacteria, viruses, fungi and protozoa can damage the cells of the digestive tract and cause various pathologies. In this case, the feeling of bloating may be associated with fluid retention and an increase in the number of white blood cells.
  • Intestinal obstruction. If constipation causes temporary and incomplete intestinal obstruction, the obstruction completely blocks the organ. The intestinal lumen may be blocked by scar tissue or tumor. Unlike constipation, obstruction is accompanied by pain, loss of appetite and other dangerous symptoms.
  • Stress. A person’s emotions can affect the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract and cause a feeling of a full stomach. Stress usually causes spasms and impaired intestinal motility.

This variety of reasons can make it difficult diagnostic measures. As a rule, doctors look for others characteristic features diseases.

Diagnosis and treatment

Probiotics and prebiotics - for stomach work

Diagnostic measures begin with an assessment of the patient's complaints. In this case, the doctor conducts a physical examination of the patient, determining the degree of bloating and the presence of other pathological signs.

The doctor may need to distinguish flatulence from the accumulation of fluid in the abdominal cavity (ascites). For this, the patient is asked to lie down on a couch. In a horizontal position, flatulence does not cause severe bloating.

If the physical examination does not give accurate results, the doctor prescribes instrumental and laboratory methods diagnostics The laboratory evaluates the condition of the patient’s blood and stool, which helps detect infection or dysbacteriosis. To the important instrumental methods include:

  • Colonoscopy and gastroscopy. Using these endoscopic methods, it is possible to obtain objective data on the condition of the entire digestive tract.
  • Hydrogen breath test. Pathogenic bacteria produce hydrogen as a metabolic byproduct. By using special devices Doctors analyze the patient's exhaled air.
  • X-ray and tomography. The images can detect almost any structural pathology.

Treatment options depend on established cause discomfort. Doctors may prescribe probiotics, prebiotics, gut antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, carminatives, and other medications.

Why does bloating occur?

How to remove gases

Seething in the stomach, which is accompanied by diarrhea, provides a person with a lot of inconvenience and discomfort. This pathological condition can occur for a variety of reasons and be accompanied by additional symptoms. When the first signs of a pathological condition appear, it is necessary to treat it.

Causes of pathology

Gurgling in the stomach can cause discomfort and inconvenience.

Most often, the pathological process is diagnosed with a sedentary lifestyle.

The appearance of a pathological condition is quite often observed against the background of food allergies.

  1. Gastritis;
  2. Pancreatitis;
  3. Antibiotic treatment;

Since the cause of this pathological condition is stressful situations and nervous strain, the patient must avoid them.

The appearance of diarrhea and flatulence in some cases is diagnosed while taking certain medications - oral contraceptives, antibiotics, antirheumatoid drugs, traditional laxatives.

This is due to the increased activity of pathogens that can penetrate the human digestive tract.

A sick person may show signs of an acute respiratory disease in the form of inflammation of the tonsils, cough, and runny nose. Transmission of viruses occurs through the fecal-oral or airborne route.
  • Botulism. The onset of the disease is observed during the period of penetration of the spore-forming bacillus into the body. During the course of the infectious process, a strong poison is formed, which has a negative effect on the performance of the nervous system.

There are a large number of infectious processes that negatively affect the functioning of the digestive tract. This is why there is rumbling in the stomach, which is accompanied by diarrhea.

Causes and treatment of bloating - topic of the video:

Bloating and diarrhea are common symptoms of digestive pathologies. Most often, these symptoms are caused by poor nutrition. However, sometimes they indicate the development of dangerous disorders. To determine the causes of stomach problems, you need to conduct a thorough diagnosis.

As a rule, diarrhea and bloating occur as a result of excessive sensitivity of the intestinal mucosa. Common causes of bloating and diarrhea include the following:

Irritable bowel syndrome is an abnormality in the functioning of an organ that has been present for a long time and is not accompanied by organic or infectious pathologies. In this case, there is rumbling in the intestines, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. Flatulence and pain also often occur.

Lactose intolerance is congenital and is accompanied by bloating and diarrhea after consuming dairy products. After bowel movement, the symptoms disappear.

Dysbacteriosis - may be a consequence of the predominance of pathogenic bacteria in digestive organs. Often the cause is the microbe Helicobacter. These processes are characterized by an increase in the synthesis of intestinal gases and disruption of food processing in the intestines.

Celiac disease is a genetic abnormality characterized by damage to the intestinal mucosa. It is characterized by intolerance to gluten and structurally similar cereal proteins. In this case, severe distress, flatulence, belching and severe pain are observed.

Intestinal obstruction is caused by mechanical obstructions in the intestines. In this situation, constipation diarrhea often occurs. They represent the removal of a small amount of dense feces or blood clots, which are mixed with purulent masses and mucus.

Food poisoning and infectious diseases– this condition can be provoked by E. coli. When breeding harmful bacteria There is a risk of diarrhea and gas. There is also a high probability of increased body temperature. Severe pain and nausea often occur, leading to vomiting.

The appearance of diarrhea and bloating is possible with pancreatitis and cancer. In the first case, there is an insufficient amount of enzymes, which is typical for pancreatic disease. This causes insufficient breakdown of food in the intestines. As a result, it is excreted from the body with liquid feces.

A malignant lesion of the large intestine or a tumor formation in the abdominal cavity disrupts the normal movement of feces and leads to compression of the intestines. This leads to obstruction, gas, flatulence. Blood clots often appear during bowel movements.

Other causes of bloating and diarrhea include chronic gastroduodenitis and gastric candidiasis. In the first case, severe inflammation of the gastric mucosa is observed. This leads to a disruption in the process of digesting food.

Just a note. Gastric candidiasis is a fungal pathology that affects the mucous membranes. The affected epithelium cannot fully break down food particles. When they enter the intestines, severe irritation and accelerated excretion of unformed feces occurs.

If diarrhea and bloating occur too frequently, you should consult your doctor. If necessary, it is worth undergoing additional examination. Thanks to this, it will be possible to timely detect the onset of gastrointestinal tract disease and avoid the development of a chronic process.

Dangerous symptoms

Many people do not even realize that the process of gas formation goes beyond normal limits. Unpleasant symptoms begin to progress gradually, and therefore the person gets used to this condition. This poses a real danger because there is a risk of developing serious pathologies. To avoid problems, doctors recommend paying attention to the following manifestations:

  • Significant increase in abdominal size;
  • the appearance of rumbling sounds upon palpation;
  • the appearance of tension in the area of the diaphragm when bending forward;
  • belching after eating;
  • increased flatulence;
  • impaired bowel movements or diarrhea.

As the disease progresses, there is a constant loss of appetite and weakening immune system. General weakness and headaches are often present.

Diagnostics

If a problem occurs in an adult, you should immediately consult a doctor. First of all, the specialist will prescribe a stool test, which will help identify pathogenic bacteria and helminthic infestations.

Decrease in the number of red blood cells when performing biochemical analysis blood indicates the appearance of inflammation. This technique is used for diagnosis ulcerative colitis. With the help of scatology, it is possible to determine the composition of the intestinal microflora. This is very important for assessing the condition in children and pregnant women.

Treatment methods

To deal with gas and diarrhea, you need to identify the causes this state. Conservative therapy includes the following elements:

  • Normalization of bacterial composition by application antibacterial drugs and antiseptics;
  • restoration of the digestive tract by following a diet;
  • inhibition of increased secretion or use of digestive enzymes;
  • eliminating pain through the use of antispasmodics.

To eliminate unpleasant symptoms, doctors prescribe a variety of stomach remedies:

  1. Defoamers. Thanks to their use, it is possible to prevent the appearance of mucus bubbles in the digestive organs. Excess gases are removed naturally or leave the body through the bloodstream.
  2. Medicines to restore peristalsis and reduce gas formation. Simethicone can be used for this purpose.
  3. Sorbents. Such products cope with gases and cleanse the digestive organs from them. This category includes smecta and enterosgel.
  4. Sedatives. Such substances help to avoid the effects of neurotic factors.

Just a note. You can start using medications only after consulting a specialist. This helps to identify the cause of the disorder and select adequate treatment.

Failure to follow a diet often causes the development of pathologies of the digestive system. Therefore, the appearance of unpleasant symptoms should be a reason for correcting your diet.

From the diet you need to remove foods that provoke putrefactive and fermentation processes. They end with frequent bloating of the abdomen. Also, you should not eat foods that stimulate the production of gastric juice.

It is important to switch the body to certain foods. To key tasks dietary nutrition include:

  • Consumption of the required amount of vitamins and microelements;
  • reducing the severity of the process of fermentation and putrefaction in the intestines;
  • restoration of motility of the digestive organs;
  • normalization of intestinal microflora.

The appearance of unpleasant symptoms in the form of stool problems and flatulence accompanies a variety of pathologies. To cope with this condition, it is very important to establish the causes of discomfort and select adequate therapy.

Most diseases of the digestive system are accompanied by bloating and frequent diarrhea. There are also pain, seething in the stomach, heartburn, belching, and occasionally vomiting and nausea. But such a condition does not always indicate development dangerous illness. To find out the cause and quickly get rid of it, you need to undergo appropriate diagnostics.

Main reasons

Disturbances in the functioning of the digestive organs, which cause flatulence and diarrhea, develop due to the following factors:

  • Dysbacteriosis. The intestinal microflora in the body is disrupted, as a result of which the process of breakdown of food masses slows down, the production of intestinal gases increases, diarrhea and bloating occur in adult patients and children.
  • Syndromeirritable bowel. This is a functional disease, which is characterized by increased gas formation, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. The main factors in the occurrence of pathology are considered to be stress, emotional stress, and poor quality nutrition.
  • . When consuming low-quality, spoiled, expired, contaminated pathogenic microbes food, pathogens begin to multiply in the body, causing general intoxication. An adult and a child begin to experience diarrhea, gas, nausea, episodes of vomiting, abdominal cramps, and body temperature rises.
  • Menstruation. Bloating and diarrhea in women often occur at the beginning of menstruation, which is explained by spasms of the uterus, increased blood flow and activation of progesterone, which destabilizes digestion.

Also provoke unpleasant phenomena, causing bloating abdominal pain and diarrhea can:

  • Severe stress.
  • Difficulty with bowel movements.
  • Quick meal.
  • Psychogenic diseases

Often several reasons lead to bloating, rumbling in the stomach and frequent urge to defecate.

Pathological causes

An unpleasant condition occurs when:

  • Gastric ulcer characterized by a relapsing course. With this pathology, gas formation increases, sour belching, nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite appear.
  • Pancreatitis. With insufficient production of digestive enzymes by the pancreas, food masses are not completely broken down and are excreted from the body along with liquid feces. In chronic cases of the disease, there is a feeling preceding vomiting, weakness, acute pain, gas and frequent loose stools.
  • Chronicgastrodoudenitis. At this disease the mucous membrane of the stomach becomes inflamed, resulting in diarrhea, flatulence, belching and bloating. The causes of the disease are impaired diet, abuse of certain drugs, hormonal imbalance, pathologies of the liver and biliary tract.
  • Intestinal obstruction. In this condition, the movement of intestinal contents becomes difficult. Often painful signs are accompanied by bloating, abdominal asymmetry, and vomiting. False or constipative diarrhea is associated with secondary dilution of intestinal contents during prolonged constipation.
  • Celiac enteropathy. This hereditary disease which occurs due to damage to the villi small intestine certain foods that contain gluten (avenin, hordein and other cereal proteins). The patient suffers not only from increased gas formation, bloating, heartburn, and severe pain between the sternum and the navel.
  • Lactose intolerance– congenital pathology caused by reduced production of the lactase enzyme. It is necessary for the digestion of milk sugar. The main symptoms are bloating, diarrhea and gas, abdominal pain, vomiting (rarely) occur after the patient consumes dairy products.
  • . Active reproduction of the Candida fungus in the stomach leads to irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa. Food is not digested properly and is rapidly evacuated from the body.

If diarrhea, abdominal pain and flatulence occur systematically, you should consult a doctor. He will refer you for examination and prescribe necessary treatment, preventing the disease from becoming chronic.

Dangerous symptoms

Negative signs of the pathological process intensify gradually. This prevents the patient from seeking qualified help in a timely manner. A person simply gets used to the fact that he regularly experiences flatulence. About the development of any disease associated with the gastrointestinal tract. may indicate:

  • Rumbling on palpation.
  • Diaphragm tension when bending forward.
  • Constant or periodic belching after eating.
  • Regular constipation or diarrhea

Subsequently, the patient’s appetite worsens, the immune system weakens, frequent headaches and weakness appear.

If a child begins to have diarrhea, accompanied by bloating and increased gas formation, the temperature rises, acute pain in the abdomen begins, and inclusions of mucus and food are found in the stool, it is necessary to urgently call a doctor. Before his arrival, if poisoning or intestinal infection is suspected, plenty of drinking should be ensured. You can use a decoction of chamomile, calendula, St. John's wort, compote of apples and dried pears, mineral alkaline water without gas.

Nutrition for children during periods of frequent diarrhea is made as easy and healthy as possible.

Therapeutic measures

To prevent bloating and stop frequent loose stools, it is necessary to eliminate the cause that provokes the appearance of unpleasant symptoms. Only this approach to treatment will achieve maximum results in improving the patient’s well-being.

The gastroenterologist, having received the examination results, may prescribe:

  • Carminatives. Eliminate bloating - Espumisan, Sab Simplex, Simethicone.
  • Enterosorbents. Enterosgel, Activated carbon, Polysorb, Smecta, Atoxil help remove toxins and allergens from the body.
  • Probiotics. Restore intestinal microflora - Linex, Hilak Forte.
  • Peristalsis stimulants. You can improve intestinal motility with the help of the following medications: Motilium, Domrid, Domidon.
  • Enzyme preparations. Improves the activity of the pancreas - Festal, Mezim.

If it is determined that diarrhea, rumbling and flatulence are due to food poisoning or intestinal infection, the doctor will prescribe antibiotics.

Diet food

You can successfully stop signs of illness, for example, strong gases, seething, belching, diarrhea, using complex therapy. Taking medications alone is not enough. If the patient continues to eat spicy, fatty foods and other foods that cause diarrhea, all the efforts and expenses on medications will be in vain.

When your stomach becomes very swollen and diarrhea appears, you need to adjust your diet. You need to set a separate meal schedule so that proteins are not mixed with carbohydrates. Fruits should not be consumed immediately after meals, but as a snack (otherwise it will lead to fermentation processes). It is important to give up hamburgers, pasties, French fries and other fast food. It is also not recommended to abuse semi-finished products.

The break between main meals should be three hours. You need to eat in small portions, slowly, chewing your food well - this will improve the fermentation process. You can minimize the risk of diarrhea and bloating by consuming sufficient quantity water (at least 2.5-3 liters per day).

The menu can include:

  • Low-fat fish/meat, steamed or baked in the oven.
  • Vegetable broths.
  • Chicken eggs.
  • Boiled, stewed vegetables.
  • Fruits and dried fruits.
  • Bread made from rye flour.
  • Fermented milk drinks with low fat content.
  • Cereals.
  • Homemade juices, fruit drinks, compotes.
  • Green tea.

Alcohol, whole milk, legumes, carbonated drinks, baked goods, pickled and canned foods, and sweets are prohibited if you have constant loose stools and gas.
