Have you ever been to the Red Sea? And in Seventh Heaven? No? Don't be upset. You will definitely be delighted when you try this unusual salad.

I was taught how to make Red Sea salad by my sister, who just loves salads. I hadn't eaten it before and I liked it. I won’t be greedy - I’ll share my impressions and the recipe.

Red Sea Salad Recipe
  • 200 g crab sticks
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 150 g cheese
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Mayonnaise

All ingredients for the Red Sea salad are cut into strips. You can cut them into long strips, it will be beautiful, but then the salad will not be very convenient to eat. I cut it short. This is a salad, not... Therefore, we first cut the crab sticks in half (across), and then cut the halves into strips.

By the way. If you are lucky enough to find real crab sticks, that will be great. Because what they sell us in modern stores under the guise of natural food is... Don't follow the link. Then read it so as not to accidentally spoil your appetite 😉

We cut the tomatoes into 4 parts, take out the middle with the seeds (it is not needed in the salad), and turn what is left into straws.

Cut the sweet pepper into 4 parts and cut each part into thin strips. Compared to other ingredients, pepper is the densest, therefore, the thinner it is sliced, the more harmonious the consistency of our salad will be.

You can use any cheese for the salad that can be grated into strips and not disintegrate into a shapeless mass. I'll take Dutch. It is quite soft, but at the same time.

Mix all the ingredients, squeeze the garlic into them through a press and season with mayonnaise so that the salad does not turn out liquid or over-salted (the cheese and crab sticks are already salted). Mix carefully, trying not to turn the straws into mush.

Place the salad in a salad bowl or on a plate in a heap. When my family tried this salad, they asked me to cook it again for two days in a row, pretending that they “didn’t try it.” Bon appetit!

  6. Hard cheese must be grated on a coarse grater.
  7. Place grated cheese in a third layer. On top of the cheese we again make a mesh of mayonnaise.
  8. Let's prepare the bell pepper: wash it, remove seeds and cut it into strips. In order to cut the pepper into strips, you need to cut it in half, then in half again, and then cut into strips.
  9. Place the bell pepper in the fourth layer.

The salad is prepared very quickly, so this recipe should be taken in case of unexpected guests. This salad is also suitable for a holiday table. To prepare a light salad “Sea” we will need seafood: octopus, squid, mussels and shrimp. A great option is to buy a seafood cocktail. But if the stores in your city are rich in a variety of seafood, then you can buy only those seafood that you love most. You will also need chicken eggs, tomatoes, sweet peppers, and dill. For dressing we use olive oil, sesame seeds and lemon juice.

Cut the tomato into small cubes. There is no need to drain the tomato juice; let it mix with the salad dressing.

Wash the sweet or bell pepper, peel it and cut it into thin strips.

Chicken eggs need to be hard-boiled, cooled, peeled and cut into pieces the same size as tomatoes.

Seafood should be boiled for 25-30 minutes in salted water. Then drain in a colander and rinse.

We acquire the required components:

  • a couple of cucumbers,
  • a couple of small carrots,
  • 230 g serving of shrimp,
  • green beans,
  • 3 cloves of garlic and
  • lettuce leaves.

To prepare the dressing we arm ourselves with:

  • lime juice,
  • sesame oil,
  • fish sauce,
  • soy sauce,
  • oyster sauce,
  • spoon of honey and
  • a pinch of chili.

Dry the washed cucumbers and carrots, chop into thin strips and. Once they are ready, cool them and clean them. We do it for three minutes and then chop it into slices. Salad dressing is prepared from the indicated ingredients. Next, all products are combined and seasoned with garlic. The salad is served chilled.

Pineapple salad “Chinese motifs”

We acquire the required components:

  • one head of Chinese cabbage,
  • 700 g portion of shrimp,
  • a couple of apples
  • pineapple,
  • celery,
  • spices,
  • salt,
  • lemon juice and
  • mayonnaise.

Cut the celery into small slices and chop the Chinese cabbage. Peel and remove the entrails into thin strips and sprinkle with lemon juice. Carefully, we turn it into neat cubes. We combine all the products, season with spices and add mayonnaise sauce. Serve chilled in a common salad bowl or serve portions in separate bowls.

Salad "Sunny squid"

We acquire the required components:

  • 400 g portion of squid,
  • 3 eggs,
  • green onions,
  • a couple of cucumbers,
  • mayonnaise and
  • lemon

An unpretentious salad is prepared in a quarter of an hour and served as a snack dish. First we do rinsing, cleaning and for 6 minutes. , unless you want to end up with a product that is as hard as rubber. Wash and cut the dried cucumbers into cubes. Chop green onions and boil hard-boiled eggs. Cut them into small cubes. The grater does not need to be used for any products. Combine the ingredients, mix with lemon juice and mayonnaise sauce.

To serve the dish, individual portioned bowls are used. This salad is ideal for a buffet menu. It is advisable to complement it with a glass of chilled light white wine, which will please gourmets.
