Russian text psalm 39

I firmly trusted in the Lord, and He bowed down to me and heard my cry; He drew me out of the dreadful ditch, out of the muddy swamp, and set my feet on the stone, and established my steps; And he put a new song in my mouth - praise to our God. Many will see and fear and trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who places his hope in the Lord and does not turn to the proud and to those who deviate from lies. You have done a lot, O Lord, my God: about your miracles and your thoughts about us - who will be like you! - I would like to preach and speak, but they exceed the number. You did not want sacrifices and offerings; You opened my ears; You did not demand burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin. Then I said: behold, I am coming; in a book scroll it is written about me: I desire to do your will, my God, and your law is in my heart. I have proclaimed in the great congregation; I did not refrain from my lips: You, Lord, know. I did not hide Your righteousness in my heart, proclaimed Your faithfulness and Your salvation, did not hide Your mercy and Your truth before the great assembly. Do not withhold, O Lord, Thy compassion from me; Thy mercy and Thy truth guard me incessantly, for innumerable troubles have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I cannot see: there are more of them than the hair on my head. my heart has left me. Be pleased, Lord, to deliver me; God! hurry to help me. Let all be ashamed and ashamed who seek the destruction of my soul! May those who wish me harm will be turned back and given over to mockery! Let those who say to me be dismayed at their shame: “Good! OK!" May all who seek You rejoice and rejoice in You, and let those who love Your salvation say incessantly: "Great is the Lord!" I am poor and destitute, but the Lord cares for me. You are my help and my deliverer, my God! do not slow down.

Russian Orthodox text psalm 46

Clap your hands all nations, shout to God with a voice of joy; for the Lord Most High is terrible, - the great King over all the earth; subjugated nations and tribes to us under our feet; He has chosen our inheritance for us, the beauty of Jacob, whom he loved. God ascended at the exclamations, the Lord at the sound of the trumpet. Sing to our God, sing; Sing to our King, sing, for God is the King of all the earth; sing it all wisely. God reigned over the nations, God sat on His holy throne; the princes of the nations gathered to the people of Abraham's God, for the shields of the earth are God's; He is exalted above them.

Christian text psalm 47

Great is the Lord and all-praised in the city of our God, on His holy mountain. A beautiful hill, the joy of all the earth is Mount Zion; on the north side is the city of the great King. God is known in his dwellings as an intercessor: for, behold, the kings came together and all passed by; they saw and were amazed, embarrassed and fled; fear seized them there and torment, like women in childbirth; with the east wind You have crushed the ships of Tarsh. As we heard, so we saw in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish him forever. We meditated, God, about Your goodness in the midst

108 Psalm is a prayer-curse. It contains the wish "Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow." Psalm 108 is David's prayer to the Lord, in which he asks for vengeance on his enemies, who are mercilessly persecuting him. This psalm is replete with curses, mostly directed at one of David's nemesis. Many people offer prayers for the death of their enemies. But not all of these prayers reach God. In addition, often evil thoughts directed against someone turn against the person praying. This means that in heaven they hear the prayers that must be heard. This psalm is analogous to the kabbalistic ritual of the Pulse de Nur.

Opening prayers:

"Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of Pre Eternal Heavenly Father, You said with your pure lips that nothing can be done without You. I ask for your help! Start every business with You, for Your glory and the salvation of my soul. And now, and ever, and forever and ever. Amen."

"To the Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfill everything, Treasure of the good and life to the Giver, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save our souls, Beloved."

"Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us"(3 times)

"All-holy to the Trinity, God and the Supplier of the whole world, hurry and direct my heart, begin with reason and end the good deeds of these God-inspired books, even the Holy Spirit will burp out the lips of David, they also now want to speak I, unworthy, understanding my ignorance, I pray , and asking for help from Thee: Lord, direct my mind and strengthen my heart, not about the words of the mouth of coldness, but have fun about the mind of the spoken words, and get ready to do good deeds, I am also learning, and I say: yes, I am enlightened by good deeds, Judge the hands of the country, I will be a partaker with all your chosen ones.

Come, let us worship our Tsar God.

Come, let us worship and fall down on Christ, our King our God.

Come, let us worship and fall down to Christ Himself, the Tsar and our God. "

"Our Father, Thou art Thou in heaven! Hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; ours and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. "(3 times)

Closing prayers:

"To the Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfill everything, Treasure of the good and life to the Giver, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save our souls, Beloved."

"Thank Thy servant unworthy creature, O Lord, for Thy great blessings on us that were, glorifying Thee, we praise, bless, thank, sing and magnify Thy benevolence, and slavishly cry out Thy with love: Our Savior, Glory to Thee. Servant of indecent, vouchsafed, Master, diligently flowing to Thee, we bring thanksgiving in strength, and to Thee, as a Benefactor and Creator, glorifying, crying: Glory to Thee, O All-Blessed God. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, both now and ever and forever and ever. Amen."

"The Mother of God, the Christian Helper, Thy intercession has acquired Thy servant, I am grateful to Thee by crying: Rejoice, Most Pure Virgin Mary, and always save us from all troubles with Thy prayers, One who is soon present. We thank Thee, O Lord our God, for all Thy good deeds, from the first age to the present, in us, unworthy of Thy servants (names), who were, theirs and never were, about those who were revealed and not shown, who were also by deeds and in a word: who loved us as and Thy only begotten Son, you deign to give about us, make us worthy to be Thy love. Grant wisdom with Thy word and with Thy fear breathe strength from Thy strength, and if you sin, even though or unwillingly, forgive and not impute, and keep our soul holy, and present it to Thy Throne, I have a clear conscience, and the end is worthy of Thy humanity; and remember, O Lord, all who call on your name in truth; remember all who are good or opposed to us who want them: all men are truly, and in vain is every man; so much the same we pray to you, Lord, give us your goodness great mercy. "

"The Cathedral of Saints Angel and Archangel, with all the heavenly powers sings Thee, and says: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord of hosts, fill heaven and earth with Thy glory. Hosanna is in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna is in the highest. Save me, Izhe Thou art in the highest, the King, save me and sanctify me, the Source of sanctification; from Thee, for all creation is strengthened, to Thee, innumerable, they sing the three-holy song. Cleanse your heart, and open your mouth, as if I may be worthy of petting Thee: Holy, Holy, Holy Thou Lord, always, now, and ever and ever and forever. Amen. "

"Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, prayers for the sake of Thy Most Pure Mother, the venerable and God-bearing father of ours and all saints have mercy on us. Amen."

Interpretation of Psalm 46

This psalm belongs to the Psalms of the accession, performed on the occasion of the accession of the monarch to the throne; in this, however, the reign of the universal King is joyfully celebrated. (Other psalms in this group include Psalm 92: 94-98.) Ps. 46 should be understood as a visionary image of the coming kingdom of God: Israel rejoices in its signs in the present. The Psalmist here calls upon all the peoples of the earth to bow down in reverence before the holy King of Israel - the Lord, Who will establish His authority over all of them.

The inscription indicating the composition or performance (or both) of Psalm 46 by the descendants of Korah corresponds to verse 1.

A. Honor the great King (46: 2-5)

Ps. 46: 2-3... The Psalmist calls on all (meaning, and pagan) nations to joyfully greet the One who really is the Lord Most High (verse 3) and the "King of all the earth" (verse 8). The pagans had to make sure that He is terrible and deserves reverent worship at the cost of the defeats they suffered from Israel. This idea develops in the next two verses.

Ps. 46: 4-5... The Lord "announced" the submission to Himself of all peoples in the future, having subdued them now under the feet of His people whom He loved - the beauty of Jacob (this is, obviously, the name of Palestine, famous for its beauty and fertility, chosen by God as the inheritance of the Jews).

In Israeli history, the subordination of peoples to the true God was carried out only to a certain extent. This will completely happen with the onset of the Millennium.

B. Accession of the King to the Throne (46: 6-10)

Ps. 46: 6-7... After the victory over the enemies, the Jews ascended to the holy mountain Zion, to the dwelling of the Lord, carrying the ark of the covenant - to the sound of trumpets and exclamations of joy (God ascended and further in verse 6). Transformatively, here you can see a picture of God's ascension to the throne with the advent of the Millennium. The psalmist invites the nations four times to sing to God and our King (verse 7).

Ps. 46: 8-10... Sing everything rationally (verse 8), he continues, that is, delving into the meaning of your praises, "sing" them with reverence. Beginning verse 8; For God is the king of all the earth (compare Ps. 92: 1; 95:10; 98: 1; 145: 10) is typical of this type of psalm; most likely, "statements" of this kind should be taken as a confident providence of what will happen in the future.

This is confirmed by the meaning of verse 9. In terms of the logical continuation of verses 8-9, verse 10 is considered: the psalmist foresaw the time when the princes of all nations would gather to the people of Abraham's God (probably in the sense: bow down before Him just like His people). "Shields" here are probably called (figuratively) "princes" who are responsible for their subjects; all of them, in the final analysis, depend on God and are subordinate to Him, whether they realize it or not they are God's; He is exalted above them. And the day will come when "every knee" will bow before Him (Phil. 2: 9-11). The knowledge that the truth proclaimed in this psalm will be fulfilled serves as a spiritual help to all believers in difficult times.

The purpose of this psalm is to encourage us and all nations to glorify God. This psalm (I) teaches us how we should do this — publicly, joyfully, and intelligently (v. 2,7,8).

(Ii) Offers us themes for glorification:

(1) the greatness of God (v. 3);

(2) His omnipotence and universal dominion (vv. 3,8-10);

(3) the great things that He has done and will do for His people (vv. 4-6). Many believe that this psalm was written on the occasion of the bringing of the ark to Mount Zion, to which, apparently, v. 6 refers: "God ascended with the exclamations ...", but in reality it means a later event - the ascent of Christ to heavenly Zion , after He completed His work on earth and established His kingdom on earth, the voluntary subjects of which were the pagans. As we sing this psalm, we should honor the exalted Redeemer, rejoice in His exaltation and praise, confess that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

To the head of the choir. Psalm for the sons of Korah.

Verses 2-5... The psalmist, whose heart is filled with great and godly thoughts of God, endeavors to involve everyone around him in blessed praise, as one who is confident that God is worthy of all blessings and praise, and grieves because of the slowness and uselessness of people in this ministry. Observe in these verses:

I. To whom is the call to glorify God addressed: "All the nations, all the people of Israel," who was under his control and under his care. Therefore, having influence over his people, David draws them into the glorification of God. Whatever others do, and he and his house, he and His people will praise the Lord. Or, these words can be understood as follows: "All the peoples of the earth ..." Then these words can be interpreted as a prophecy about the conversion of the Gentiles and bringing them into the Church (see Rom 15:11).

II. What They Are Called To: “Clap your hands to prove your joy and satisfaction with what God has done for you. Show your approval and admiration for what God has done in general and your resentment towards the enemies of God's glory (Job 27:23). Clap your hands like a man filled with joy that he can no longer contain. Shout to God, but not in order to make Him hear (for He is not hard of hearing), but so that everyone around you will hear and know how excited you are by the things of God. Shout with a voice of joy so that others will see how you rejoice in the Lord, rejoice in His power and mercy, and can join your rejoicing. " Note that such displays of piety and reverent feelings may appear obscene and reckless to some, but they should not be rashly condemned or condemned, much less ridiculed, for if they come from a pure heart, God will accept the power of feelings and forgive the weakness of its expression.

III. What is offered as a theme for praise.

(1) The God we are dealing with is terrible in His majesty (v. 3): "The Lord Most High is terrible." He is infinitely superior to the noblest and greatest creations. In Him are collected perfections for which we should all feel awe, especially before His power, holiness and justice. All those who oppose Him should tremble before these qualities.

(2) He is God almighty and has absolute authority. He is the King alone, the King over all the earth. All creatures were created by Him, obey Him, and therefore He is the great King, the King of kings.

(3) He takes special care of His people and their interests. So it was and so it will be. For this, He gave him victory and success (v. 4), subjugated the nations and tribes that stood in the way of Israel (Ps 43: 3) and attacked him. All this God did for His people, having planted them in Canaan, and continues to do it to this day. He will certainly continue to do His wondrous works for them through His servant David, who was successful in every place wherever his victorious hand turned. But here is also a reference to the Kingdom of the Messiah, which should be established throughout the earth, and not limited to the Jewish nation. Jesus Christ will subdue the Gentiles; He will lead them, like sheep, into the yard (this is the meaning of this word), but not for slaughter, but for safety. He will subdue their senses and make them ready in the day of His power. He will subdue their thoughts, tame those who have gone aside under the guidance of the Great Shepherd and Guardian of your souls (1 Pet. 2:25).

He gave him peace and a place to settle (v. 5): “He has chosen our inheritance for us. He chose the land of Canaan as an inheritance for Israel. This was the land that God had chosen as their inheritance (see Deut 32: 8). This justifies their ownership of the land and gives them the right to own it. It delights them and makes it enjoyable. They have reason to believe that they have had a lucky lot, which they should be happy with, since Infinite Wisdom has chosen it for them. And the establishment of God's sanctuary on her made her excellent and noble (Amos 6: 8). The Lord chose such a magnificent inheritance for Jacob because he loved him (Deut 7: 8). Let's look at this spiritually. (a) The bliss of the saints lies in the fact that God Himself chose an inheritance for them, and this inheritance is blessed, since it was chosen by the One who knows the soul and can make it happy. The Lord chose him so wisely that He Himself took upon Himself the responsibility to be the inheritance of His people (Ps 15: 5), and He keeps an incorruptible inheritance for them in another world (1 Pet 1: 4). This, of course, was the superiority of Jacob, for whom God, thanks to His love, prepared such bliss that the eye cannot see. (b) It testifies to the faith and obedience of the saints to God. This is what every blessed soul says: “God has chosen an inheritance for me; let Him appoint my lot, and I approve of His choice; He knows better than me what is good for me, and therefore I will not follow my own will, but His decision. "

Verses 6-10... These verses are very insistent demand to glorify God and sing His praises. We are so slow in fulfilling this duty that we need to be spurred on to it by the commandments and rules. Therefore, verse 7 says, “Sing to our God, sing; Sing to our King, sing. " This is a necessary and excellent responsibility that we must fulfill as often and for as long as possible. We can say the same words of praise over and over again - and this is not a waste of repetition, if each time we are filled with new feelings. Shouldn't the people praise their God (Dan 5: 4)? Shouldn't the subjects praise their king? The Lord is our God, our King, and therefore we must praise Him. We should sing His praises, showing that we enjoy praising Him and we are not ashamed of it. But further the obligatory rule is attributed (v. 8): “… sing everything reasonably. Maschil ".

(1) "Reasonably, that is, as people who understand why, why they praise God and what significance this service has." The Gospel rule is: “... I will sing with the spirit, I will also sing with the understanding” (1 Corinthians 14:15). We must sound a melody to the Lord not only with our hearts (Eph 5:19), for God only accepts that ministry in which the mind is present.

(2) "With the instruction, as men desiring others to also realize the glorified perfections of God and learn to glorify Him." These verses mention three themes for our praise, each of which has a dual meaning:

I. We are to praise God as we ascend (v. 6): “God ascended with shouting ...” These words may imply:

(1.) The ascension of the ark to Mount Zion was solemn, David himself danced before him, the priests sounded their trumpets, and the people followed them with loud exclamations. This ark was an established proof of God's presence with them, so when it was rightfully brought in, it could be said that the Lord had ascended. When God's decrees emerge from the darkness so that they can be used in civil administration, then this is a great favor for any people, which gives them a reason to rejoice and thank for them.

(2) The ascension of our Lord Jesus to heaven when He finished His ministry on earth (Acts 1: 9). Then God ascended with exclamations as the King, as the conqueror, as the One who took away the powers from the principalities and powers, and then took captivity captive (Psalm 67:19). He ascended as a Mediator, typified by the ark and the throne of grace that covered it, and was carried like the ark into the most holy place - into heaven itself (Heb. 9:24). During the ascension of Christ, we do not read about exclamations or trumpets - all this was present in the world above and belonged to the sons of God, who then exclaimed for joy (Job 38: 7). Next time He will come in the same way He left (Acts 1:11), and we are sure that this will be accompanied by exclamations and trumpets.

II. We are to praise the reigning God (v. 8.9). We are obliged to pay respect to Him not only because He is our King; He is the King of all the earth (v. 8). He reigns over all earthly kings, and therefore the incense of praise should be exalted to Him from all places. This can be understood (1) as the kingdom of His providence. God as the creator and God of nature reigned over the pagan peoples, arranging them and all their deeds as He pleases, although they do not know Him and have nothing to do with Him. He sat on His holy throne, which He prepared in heaven and from where He rules over the whole world, even the pagans, forcing them to serve His purposes. Notice here the unlimited reign of God: we are all born in dependence on Him; true God, our God reigns even over pagans who worship other gods, whether they wish it or not. Note the justice of His reign: He sits on the holy throne, from where He issues His orders, prescriptions, and executes judgments that do not contain iniquity.

(2) As the Kingdom of the Messiah. Jesus Christ is God, whose throne reigns over the Gentiles forever and ever. He is entrusted with the administration of the kingdom of providence, and He will establish the kingdom of His grace in the pagan world, will reign in the hearts of millions of people mired in paganism (Eph 2: 12,13). The apostle speaks of this as a great mystery when the Gentiles become joint heirs (Eph. 3: 6). Christ sits on His holy throne; His throne is in heaven, where everything serves to show the holiness of God and to promote holiness among the children of men.

III. We must praise God as the Sovereign who is worshiped by the princes of the nations (v. 10). These words can be understood (1) as a meeting or communication of representatives of all states of Israel, heads and governments of various tribes, gathered at a solemn holiday or for the settlement of civil affairs in the state. Israel's honor was that he was the people of Abraham's God. The Israelites were descendants of Abraham and are included in the covenant; and thanks be to God that Abraham's blessing extended to the Gentiles (Gal 3:14). Their bliss was that the established government - the princes of their peoples - were the shields of the earth. State power is the shield of the people, and the greatest mercy for any people is to have this shield, especially when the princes of the people belong to the Lord and are dedicated to serve Him and His honor, for then God will be especially exalted. Alternatively, these words can be understood as follows: God's honor is that the shields of the earth belong to Him. He establishes state authority, which by its management serves His purposes on this earth, turning the hearts of kings, like rivers of water, wherever He pleases. Israel flourished when the princes of its people came together to discuss public welfare. The consensus among the rulers of the people to promote peace is a happy omen that promises generous blessings.

(2) As a call to the Gentiles to enter the Church of Christ and as a prophecy about the Messiah and the time when the kings of the earth and their peoples will unite in the Church, bring their glory and power to New Jerusalem, when they will all become the people of the God of Abraham, to whom was promised that he would become the father of many nations. Volunteers from the people (you can read these words this way), since the same word is used in Psalm 109: 3: "... Your people are ready ...", since those gathered at Christ did not come under compulsion, but voluntarily to belong to Him. When the shields of the earth - the insignia of the king's distinction (1 Kings 14: 27,28) - obey and will be given to Jesus (as the keys of the city are presented to a conqueror or a monarch), when the princes use their power to advance the interests of religion, then Christ will be exalted above them.

Ps. 46 This psalm, along with Ps. 92, 95-98, are usually classified as royal psalms. In its center is the image of the Lord, who, sitting on His heavenly throne, reigns over the entire universe. For Christians, Ps. 46 can serve as a prayer glorifying the ascension and reign of Jesus Christ. It should be noted that in the Gospel Christ is called both the King and the Warrior (Luke 23: 38; John 1: 49).

46: 2 all nations. Since the Lord reigns over all creation, and not only over Israel, the psalmist calls on not only Jews to give praise to Him, but all the peoples living on earth.

46: 4 subdued nations for us. The Lord, the Divine Warrior, won a great many victories over the enemies of the people chosen by Him, of which the first was the destruction of the Pharaoh's army, who persecuted the Jews who left Egypt (Ex., Ch. 14).

46: 5 has chosen our inheritance for us. This refers to the conquest and subsequent settlement of the Promised Land by the Jews. In Deut. 7,7-11 explains that only by the grace of God, and not for any other reason, the lands of Palestine began to belong to the Israelites.

46: 6 God ascended at the shouting. Undoubtedly, this verse presents a picture of the Lord's ascension to His heavenly throne. However, it would be wrong to believe that the episode of His accession really once took place, for the Lord has reigned "from everlasting" (Psalm 92: 2). Simply, having won a military victory with the help of God, the people of Israel give Him praise.

46:10 The princes of the nations gathered together to the people of Abraham's God. God promised Abraham to bless all the nations of the earth through him (Gen. 12: 1-3). He finally fulfilled this plan through His Son Jesus Christ.
