Everyone knows that conventional antibiotics, along with the destruction of pathogenic microorganisms, also destroy beneficial microflora. “Chlorophyllipt” does not cause any harm to the body. Moreover, it actively influences the strengthening of the immune system. The main active ingredients of Chlorophyllipt solutions are chlorophylls A and B, isolated from eucalyptus leaves. The drug has the following therapeutic effects:

There is a strange paradox: pediatricians often advise using the drug for runny noses in children, but for some reason the instructions included with the drug do not describe exactly how to instill Chlorophyllipt into the nose, and the doctor also, apparently, often forgets to explain. This raises many questions for parents. Here are some tips to help you do everything right:
1. For the treatment of a runny nose, only an oil solution of the drug “Chlorophyllipt” is used! In no case should adults, much less children, put alcohol in their noses - it will burn the mucous membrane.
2. Before use, the solution must be diluted with vegetable oil (sterilized) in a ratio of 50 to 50. Please pay special attention to this! This must be done because even the oil solution of “Chlorophyllipt” is a rather caustic substance, and the sensations when it gets into the nose are far from pleasant. Adults can use the undiluted drug; they can tolerate it if their nose stings strongly for several minutes, but children need to drip Chlorophyllipt into their nose only in a diluted form.
3. The diluted oil solution is taken into a pipette and 2-3 drops are instilled into each nostril, after which the head must be thrown back.
If the baby is under three years old, then it is still too early to drip Chlorophyllipt into his nose. Here it is best to use homemade cotton wool turundas (small flagella rolled up from cotton wool). The turundas must be dipped into the solution, and then, carefully inserted into each nostril of the child, the nose must be sanitized.

Gargling
Now we know when and how to instill Chlorophyllipt into a child’s nose. But colds most often affect the entire nasopharynx. What to do with a red, sore throat? Is it possible to treat it with this remedy? Of course you can. Actually, this is what will happen when the solution is instilled into the nose, because the drops will flow further and fall directly into the child’s neck (if the parents make sure that the baby throws his head back).
But the drug "Chlorophyllipt" can and should also be used to gargle for sore throat. In this case, the best solution is not an oil solution, but an alcohol solution, which should be added to warm boiled water (1 tablespoon of solution per glass of water) and then given to the child for gargling (you cannot use undiluted solution). This quickly relieves inflammation and pain. For very young children who cannot yet master gargling on their own, it is recommended to simply lubricate the throat with a diluted preparation. Children over 12 years of age can use Chlorophyllipt spray, which is available in most pharmacies.
Attention! Allergy test
Unfortunately, no matter how good and effective Chlorophyllipt is, it can cause severe allergic reactions in adults and children. Therefore, before dripping “Chlorophyllipt” oil into the child’s nose, it is necessary to do an allergy test. To do this, it is recommended to apply a small amount of the diluted drug (literally a little) under the child’s tongue and wait several hours. If no negative manifestations follow, then it will be possible to instill the medicine into the nose. To be on the safe side, you can give your little patient an antihistamine before using Chlorophyllipt.
Nasal rinsing
If you have a severe runny nose and nasal congestion, before instilling the Chlorophyllipt oil solution into your nose, it is recommended to carry out a rinsing procedure. “Chlorophyllipt” is also suitable for this, but not oil, but alcohol, diluted in the same proportion as for gargling (1 tablespoon of product per 1 glass of water). The rest is done like this:
1. Take a regular rubber syringe.
2. A warm diluted solution is poured into it.
3. The child leans over the sink or bathtub and turns his head to the side.
4. The solution is poured into the nostril that is at the top using a syringe; it should flow out of the other nostril.
5. The head is tilted in the opposite direction and the procedure is repeated.
Side effects and contraindications
What negative reactions in the body can “Chlorophyllipt” oil cause? This product should not be instilled into the nose by allergy sufferers, as it can cause severe allergic reactions (swelling of the mucous membranes of the nose, pharynx and lips, skin rashes, etc.). The only contraindication indicated in the instructions is idiosyncrasy (hereditary hypersensitivity to the components of the drug).

Inhalations
The oil solution of the drug must be diluted with boiled water in a ratio of 1:10. Inhalations are carried out through a nebulizer or simply by bending over a container of hot water and covering yourself with a towel. For instillation into the nose, an oil solution of Chlorophyllipt is used, since there is no special release form for the nose. Before the procedure, it is recommended to clear the nasal passages of mucus using saline solutions. Then draw the oil solution into a pipette, tilt your head back and instill the required amount of the drug. For children, it is recommended to dilute Chlorophyllipt with vegetable oil in a 1:1 ratio before use, unless the doctor indicates otherwise.
You should be aware that the oil solution is highly irritating to the mucous membrane. Therefore, the procedure is quite unpleasant. After instillation, a burning sensation of the mucous membrane and an unpleasant taste in the mouth immediately appear.
Inhalations
You can also use an alcohol solution for inhalation using a nebulizer. Chlorophyllipt must be diluted with saline in a ratio of 1 to 10 before using this method. On average, adults need to carry out the procedure for 8-10 minutes, and children – 3-5 minutes.
Turundas in the nose
An excellent option for using the product for sinusitis and green snot in children is cotton swabs in the nose. Before placing them in the nostrils, they are soaked in an oil solution of Chlorophyllipt. This use allows you to avoid the very unpleasant sensations that accompany instillation of the product into the nose. Thus, adult patients can also use the drug.

After purchasing medications, you usually read the instructions for use. And here a paradox arises: the pediatrician prescribed drops into the nose, but the dosage is not prescribed in the instructions. 
Below are instructions on how to perform this procedure correctly:
- for instillation into the nose, use only Chlorophyllipt oil solution;
- Since the oil solution is very concentrated, to avoid possible problems, it is recommended to dilute it with warm sterilized vegetable oil in a 1:1 ratio. This is a very important point when using this drug for children.
- Use a clean, sterile pipette. Instill 2-3 drops of the prepared solution into each nostril 2-3 times a day. Then you need to tilt the child's head back for better distribution of the medicine.
The duration of treatment is from 7 to 10 days, depending on the degree of complexity of the disease.
In this case, use special cotton pads (necessarily sterile!), which are moistened in the prepared diluted solution and carefully lubricate each nostril of the child.
Another very important point is to rinse the nose before instilling the medicine. When washing, you can use the alcohol form of Chlorophyllipt, diluted in a 1:1 ratio. This is done as follows:
- take a clean small syringe;
- pour the warm prepared solution into it;
- tilt the child’s head to one side, carefully introduce the solution into the upper nostril;
