The first student conference of scientific circles of the departments of pediatric surgery of the Soviet Union was held on the initiative of Professor S.D. Since then, scientific meetings of future pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists and resuscitators have become the most beloved and significant events in the life of pediatric surgeons in our country, a kind of talent forge.

The scientific student conference is held jointly with the thematic Symposium of Pediatric Surgeons of Russia, and the work of the student Jury is organically supplemented by the expert opinion of leading professors of pediatric surgeons, authors of textbooks and manuals. Thus, the accumulated experience, best practices and traditions of the country’s famous Schools of Pediatric Surgeons are passed on to the next generations of specialists.
