Peruns of Zeus. Zeus's lightning. An excerpt characterizing the Lightning of Zeus

At first glance this is a strange statement. The Russian government has been cultivating for many centuries the Asian orientation of Russia, its fundamental difference from Western countries.

However, no matter how long the rope winds, it will end. Let's say frankly that the main gods of the Russians, namely Perun and Veles, are the same gods as the Scandinavian, otherwise German, Thor and Odin. To understand this, it is enough to trace how the names of these gods change from place to place:

One: Wotan - praherm Vodanaz - scand. Vodinaz-Vilus-Winds (English)-Russian Veles
This is the name of Wednesday in English, Windsday, that is, Odin's day.
Thor: other scand. Por or Punar – Saxon – Punaer – North German Donar – Proto-German Turaraz – Lithuanian Perkun – Russian Perun

From the presented chains it is clear that one of the closest names to Veles is Winds and Vodnaz. More on vodanase a little later. Likewise, Punaer is close to Perun.

Let us now compare the descriptions and images of both gods.

Perun is the thunder of lightning. It has the so-called the ax of Perun, which, according to findings, is identical to Thor’s hammer Mjolnir.
In turn, Veles is described as the god of the underground, the bestial god, the snake god, the god of wisdom. Veles has a lot in common with Vodyany (Vodanaz-Diver). Like the serpent God, Veles is the god of wisdom, similarly Odin.
In fact, until some time there was no single name for Odin and Thor. Thus, Thor was called Ponur and Porom in Scandinavia, Punaer in Saxony, Doner in upper Germany, and Perun or Perkun in Rus'. The names Odin and Thor are chosen universal names to denote the same god, which previously had different names locally.

The legends that are associated with these gods also have different local origins. Not all Germans recognized, for example, that Odin was the father of Thor. In some areas the supreme deity could be Thor, in others Odin. In some places there was Odin, but they heard nothing about Thor.

It remains surprising how the so-called scientists on Wikipedia do not specifically make this connection, making idiots out of people. This is understandable, because if the gods of the Russians are the same as the gods of the Germans, then the Russians’ worldview will be different from that of the Europeans. This means that they will demand normal treatment, democracy, etc.
It is worth mentioning another interesting feature of Russian mythology. Firstly, this is the replacement of all pagan names in epics with Christian ones. Secondly, in all of these epics there is no connection between heroes, knights, heroes and the Gods, which is not the case in German, Greek, Egyptian and other myths. But if this is the picture in other cultures, then this should be the case in Russian too. This means that the Christian Church has worked hard to change Russian mythology. Roughly speaking, Ilya Muromets must carry out a task against the serpent Gorynych on the orders of Perun and Veles, but for some reason this is not the case. Well, the work is being continued by the current so-called. linguistic researchers, who, in their “authoritative” opinion, do not see a connection between Thor and Perun. So, for example, the names of the gods Vili and Ve among Russian researchers are brothers of Odin, and not the names of him himself. As they say, pseudoscientific schizophrenia is in full swing.
There are other analogies between the Slavic gods and the Germanic ones. Svarog - Svarg - Varg - Farg, Simargl - Ymir, Kostroma - Kriemhilda, Horse - Herni - Heni, etc. Igdrashil and Oak with golden chains are similar. Pushkin only borrowed this from early times. Odin chained himself to a tree. The Serpent Gorynych was not originally three-headed, in those days when the Slavs had not yet learned, under the sword presented to the throat, that God loves the trinity. The serpent is similar to the Midgard serpent.

Thus, Thor and Odin are our gods, only with their local names. That is why the Younger and Elder Eddas gained such popularity in Russia. In turn, we can enrich the culture of the northern gods with epics and legends. Thus, the legend of the heroes and the saga of Beofulf revolve under the shadow of the same Gods. The word skaz itself is very similar to the German zagen or zaga. It is interesting by analogy that in ancient Greece there was no single pantheon of gods. So Zeus was revered in Crete, but in Sparta he was not recognized as the supreme deity. Moreover, both the names and images of Zeus were different and very different in different provinces of Greece: Diy, Dias, Sias, etc.
We will also give the true name of the days of the week, which has also been changed
Monday, Tuesday, Velesda, Thursday, Ratnitsa (Ryatnitsa, Friatnitsa replaced by P with P), Sixth, Week. As you can see, the falsifiers caught the basic structure of the names of the week according to ordinal numbers and replaced the days that initially did not obey this rule with numerals. This is especially interesting because of the generally gigantic connection between the Russian language and the Germanic languages, especially Gothic. Nem Birke - rus Birch, English Trit - rus Tree, nem Erde - rus Firmament, nem Ber (bear) - rus Bor (pine forest, boletus bear), germ ken (moch) - rus kanat (canate), etc.

Perun - God of thunder and lightning, like heavenly fire, son of Lada and Svarog, God of thunder and war, thunderer, patron of the caste of knights (princes and warriors, in Sanskrit kshatriyas). Perun is a formidable God in relation to the enemies of the Motherland. The spirit of Perun is the spirit of a warrior. But a warrior is not someone who is eager to fight for the sake of war. A warrior is someone who is always ready to fight if necessary. If there is no such need, then the warrior can engage in creative work. The warrior spirit is the potential for strength.

Associated with fertility, in Orthodoxy correlated with Elijah the Prophet, literary in later times correlated with Zeus, who owns Perun. Correlates with Perkunas of the Balts, Thor of the Scandinavians, Tarinis of the Celts.

About the main functions of Perun:
1. The Thunderer, who controls thunder and lightning, the fruit-bearing husband, who sheds rain on his wife, the Earth. Fertility, so necessary for the farmer, can also be identified with the physical health of the husband (and wife?). He is the Slavic Zeus, a later interpretation of Dy. In one of the lists of the chronicles of Amartol and Malala, contemporaries identify Zeus and Perun (see Hellenic and Roman Chronicler, 2001, p. 35, as well as subsequent teachings against paganism). In the “Word and Revelation of the Holy Apostles” the “peroun” is declared an elder “in the Elins”.

2. The military function of Perun on the basis of Slavic material cannot be reconstructed “head-on” and can only be taken into account when compared with the cult of Indra and Perkunas.

3. Perun correlates with unquenchable Fire (possibly renewed by lightning, then “heavenly fire”). Enemies were sacrificed to him, as well as priests who did not follow his sacred Fire. This apparently applied to any sacred fire lit in honor of any other God. For example: “To this multi-executed idol a kermet (temple) was quickly created and the Magi were given, and this unquenchable fire was held by Volos and a smoke was sacrificed to him...” (“The Legend of the Construction of the City of Yaroslavl...”).

4. The symbols of Perun are a stone (flint) or a fiery stick (thunder arrow, orb, mace, hammer, club). Some authors draw analogies between the hammer and the celestial mill (the millstones of which produce a spark of lightning) (59).

5. They swear in the name of Perun when concluding a contract. Perun is a sovereign ruler, he punishes for failure to fulfill the law, treaty, oath. In this sense, his cult is undoubtedly princely in essence. Perun is the god of Order, implementing the law and personifying it.

6. Perun/Perkunas as the heir of Dyy/Dievas can be considered as the lord of the heavenly waters and should indeed be in a “special” relationship with Veles/Velnyas, who in this case can be considered as the lord of the “lower” waters.
Thursday in the power of Perun - the god who patronizes self-affirmation, willpower, and gives unexpected opportunities. On this day, complete protracted matters by showing your will and using the help of friends you trust.
The monetary success of Thursday is doubtful, because your companions will be inexplicably intractable, they will insist on their own, not wanting to listen to your opinion. You will need a lot of wisdom and ingenuity in order to turn seemingly hopeless circumstances into a profitable prospect. But do not strive at all costs to achieve immediate fulfillment of desires and quick receipt of money - on Thursday this usually does not work out: Perun does not like to rush and does not indulge momentary desires.
Intuition on Thursday will be more acute than ever; listen to its tips on how to make more money faster and more.
In order to increase your capital and sharpen your intuition on Thursday evening, take 12 white coins of any denomination, hold them between your palms, bring your hands to your forehead and make your “money wish”. Then place the coins one after another around the lit candle and, looking alternately at the flame and at the money, say, bringing your lips closer to the flame, what you would like to receive and what to get rid of. Then collect the coins and carry them with you for a month.
Then you can spend them.

In this series, we look at the similarities of gods from different cultures that are hundreds and thousands of kilometers apart and at first glance may seem completely different. However, upon closer examination, it turns out that almost all beliefs on earth, and even all traditions, ancient holidays, ideas, worldviews, and so on, have so much in common that we can say with confidence that they all originated from the same root, from the same source , are based on a certain unified concept of ideas, which appeared during the time of the Indo-Europeans or much earlier, when man was just beginning to master this world and began to show the first rudiments of reason. In the second chapter of this series we will look at the similarities between the pagan Slavic and ancient Greek Gods.

As a short introduction, it is worth noting that the Greek pantheon of gods is unusually structured, very clearly defined and has a precise hierarchy. According to ancient Greek myths, you can accurately determine who is someone's brother, sister, daughter, father, mother, and so on. It is likely that in pagan Rus' the view of the gods was just as structured and precise, but long persecution of pagan culture reduced the pantheon of Slavic gods to such a state that today we know only about some of the family ties of the gods, and we can only guess about the rest. For example, we know for sure that Svarog is the father of Dazhdbog, that Lelya is the daughter of Lada, and so on. The question arises: is it possible, knowing the correspondence of the Greek and Slavic gods, to again build an exact hierarchy and generic pantheon of the Slavic gods? If in ancient times the Greek and Slavic gods were a single whole and began to be called by other names due to changes in the language and place of residence of a particular people/tribe, then it is quite likely that the structure of the pantheon of Greek gods, which was subject to less destruction than the Slavic one, is quite may be interesting to us. This is not at all a call to borrow Greek paganism and completely transfer it into Slavic culture, but it is definitely worth paying close attention to the gods from other pagan cultures and thereby trying to revive some of the lost elements of the pagan culture of the Slavs.

Correspondences of Slavic and Greek gods:

Lada- Slavic goddess of spring, love, marriage. One of the goddesses Rozhanitsa - especially revered in Slavic culture. Boris Rybakov and other historians find the image of Lada and her daughter Lelya in the most ancient artifacts of human culture in the territories of ancient Rus' and the lands adjacent to it. The Slavic Lada corresponds to the Greek goddess Summer, which is also called Latona or Lato. Summer patronizes motherhood and birth. The Mother Goddess Summer is a very characteristic image of our birth-goddess Lada, who patronizes women giving birth and the birth of herbs, bread, and the rebirth of life in the spring. Among other things, the daughter of Lethe is Artemis, who corresponds to the goddess Lele.

Lelya- daughter of the goddess Lada. Lelya is the goddess of spring, beauty and youth. Like the goddess Lada, Lelya is one of two birth goddesses. In Greek mythology, Lelya corresponds to the goddess Artemis. Artemis- goddess of fertility (Rozhanitsa), patroness of beauty and youth. Both the images of the two Greek and Slavic goddesses themselves, as well as their family relationship, are surprisingly similar here, which suggests that the views on these two ancient goddesses arose even before the times when the Greek and Slavic peoples were divided. The only thing that doesn’t add up is that Artemis (Roman Diana) was considered the goddess of the hunt, while we don’t find similar signs in Lelya, however, hunting skills and patronage of hunters could simply be erased from people’s memory after a whole millennium.

Veles- one of the most important gods of the pagan Slavic pantheon. Veles is the god of trade and wealth, the god of creative people, the patron of livestock, and so on. Veles, in its essence, is close to ordinary people, as it patronizes their life and prosperity. This is a god who is directly involved in the life of every person. In Greek mythology, Veles corresponds to a god like Hermes.

- god of trade and wealth, eloquence, god of athletes and dexterity, god of wisdom, reason. The resemblance to Veles is very striking. In addition, Hermes is considered the patron saint of shepherds, as is Veles, who is the patron saint of livestock, and, accordingly, the patron saint of shepherds. Hermes is often depicted with a lamb on his shoulder, as the patron of flocks. Hermes is the patron of magic, alchemy, and astrology, as is Veles, the patron of science and art. Hermes acquires an even greater resemblance to Veles if we remember such a side of the Greek god as the guide of souls to the underground kingdom of Hades. Veles has always been revered not only as an earthly god, but also as an underground god, in charge of certain responsibilities in another world. Veles has always been connected with the world of the dead Navy, with the souls of ancestors. Like Hermes, Veles is considered a guide of souls to another world and the god who meets the soul of the deceased in order to guide him across the Kalinov Bridge. Makosh - one of the most ancient Slavic goddesses, which some researchers consider the most important deity in the beliefs of ancient times. Makosh is a very versatile goddess. She is the patroness of women, women in labor, and handicrafts. Makosh is the patroness of fate, in which she is helped by two spinners - Dolya and Nedolya; patroness of rain and water; personification of the Earth. Makosh is compared to Demeter.- Ancient Greek goddess of fertility and agriculture. Demeter from ancient Greek literally translates as “Earth-Mother”, which incredibly coincides with our Makosh, since there has long been an assumption that Makosh and Mother Earth are one and the same deity. The fact that Makosh patronizes the Earth or is herself the personification of the Earth, patronizes the fertility and well-being of the earth, was found out long ago, and such a similarity between two goddesses from two cultures, who have the same roots, once again proves to us that Makosh could really be understood by the ancient Slavs, like Mother Earth. Demeter is the great Mother Goddess who patronizes farmers. Researchers of Greek culture and beliefs argue that the cult of Demeter could have appeared long before the Indo-European era. An interesting fact is that the daughter of Demeter is Persephone - the goddess of the underworld of the dead, who is in every sense similar to the Slavic goddess Morana (Mara, Marena).

It is worth noting here that Makosh is very similar to another ancient Greek goddess. Gaia- goddess of the earth, mother of everything that grows on earth, mother of the sky, seas, titans and giants. In ancient Slavic mythology, Makosh is very closely connected with the cult of the Earth, and many researchers claim and provide a lot of reliable evidence that the ancient Slavs believed that the Earth is the body of the goddess Mokosh.

Share and Nedolya(Srecha and Nesrecha) - goddesses of fate, spinning goddesses. According to legends, Dolya and Nedolya are assistants to the goddess of fate Mokosh. Two assistants weave yarn, which is the destiny of a person. Share knits a good, even destiny, but Nedolya constantly creates clues and irregularities that create difficulties in a person’s destiny. In Greek mythology, these two Slavic goddesses correspond to the Moiras. Moira translated from Greek - part, fate, share. The number of moiras has not been reliably determined. For example, in Homeric poems, Moira is always mentioned in the singular. Researchers of ancient cultures believe that in ancient times each person had his own moira. The most common version is that the number of moiras is equal to three (Makosh, Dolya and Nedolya?). The names of the three moiras: Clotho - the spinning thread of life, Lachesis - determining fate, Atropos - inevitable fate or moira, cutting the thread of life. The essence of the three moiras in simple words can be defined as follows: one moira spins the thread of life, the second spins accidents, events, incidents, the third determines the inevitability of tragic events and the end of life.

Moran- goddess of the underworld, the world of the dead, patroness of death, mistress of winter. Although the connection between Morana and Mokosh can be traced in modern paganism and some theories confirm that Mara is the daughter of Mokosh, we still do not find reliable evidence of such a relationship in ancient sources. However, in ancient Greek myths, where Demeter appears - a clear analogue of Mokosh and her daughter Persephone (Persephone-Kore) - one hundred percent correspondence to Morana, this connection exists. Persephone- the ancient Greek goddess of the kingdom of the dead, daughter of Demeter and Zeus (Perun), wife of the underground god Hades (Slavic equivalent to Chernobog, Koshchei, Lizard). Persephone among the Greeks was not only the queen of the world of the dead, but also the patroness of fertility and seedlings. Such different hypostases as the queen of the world of the dead and the patroness of seedlings are explained by the fact that, according to the ideas of the ancient Greeks and, apparently, the ancient Slavs, seedlings grow from seeds that are underground (the underworld is the world of the dead), and, therefore, are the action of force underground god - Persephone (Moran). Another interesting myth to study is the myth of the ancient Greeks, according to which Zeus decided that Persephone would live autumn and winter in the kingdom of Hades (in the underworld), and spring and summer on Olympus with the gods of the sky. In our mythology, this can be identified as the winter appearance of Mara or her winter hypostasis - the patron of cold and death, and the summer hypostasis of Mara - the patron of fertility and life.

Chernobog- god of the underworld, king of the world of the dead. Presumably other names of Chernobog in the Slavic tradition are also such as Koschey (Koshchny god) and Lizard. Chernobog's counterpart in Greek mythology is Hades. Hades- god of the underworld of the dead. It is interesting that Hades is the husband of Persephone, which may indicate that in our mythology Morana (corresponding to Persephone) may be the wife of Chernobog, which is quite consistent with the concept, because both Chernobog and Morana are the rulers of the underworld, as well as the patrons of death. Both Hades and Persephone reign together in the underworld, where the souls of their ancestors live.

In addition to the fact that the Lizard can be identified with Chernobog and the Greek Hades, we can also find a very strong similarity with this god in the features of Poseidon. Lizard and Poseidon are considered gods of rivers and seas. Poseidon symbolizes the indomitability and fury of the water element. For this reason, Poseidon was highly revered by the Greeks. Celebrations were held in honor of the Sea King, sacrifices and treats were brought to him.

Svarog- god of the sky, god of the blacksmith, patron of weddings, creator of the Earth. In Greece, a similar deity is Uranus. Uranus- god of the sky, husband of the earth Gaia. Uranus is one of the most ancient gods. Uranus, according to Greek mythology, “The first began to rule the whole world.” Gaia, having married Uranus, gave birth to mountains, nymphs, titans, cyclops, and giant hecatoncheires. In Greek mythology, Uranus suffered a rather unenviable fate: his son Kronos castrated his father with a sickle, after which he was removed from procreation and died in the ocean. In Greece, Uranus did not occupy a special position in beliefs and this does not agree with the Slavic Svarog, whose role in the beliefs of the Slavs is much stronger and more powerful. In this regard, it is worth citing another god for comparison, who is also very similar to the Slavic Svarog.

- god of fire, blacksmithing, patron of blacksmiths. Svarog is famous specifically for its blacksmithing craft. According to the beliefs of the Slavs, Svarog gave people metal and taught them how to forge various tools. With the advent of dual faith, the image of Svarog moved to Kuzma and Demyan precisely because of the consonance of Kuzma’s name, which is very similar to the word “blacksmith”. According to mythology, the Greek god-blacksmith Hephaestus built all the buildings on Olympus, and also forged lightning bolts for Zeus (Perun) that never failed. Dazhdbog - the giving god, also the god of the Sun, the god of light. In Greek mythology, he corresponds to the god Apollo. Apollo

- god of light, patron of the arts, patron of the muses, healer, personification of the Sun. Apollo in Greece was one of the most revered gods. It is worth noting here that in almost all pagan cultures of the world, one of the most revered was the Sun and, accordingly, the deity that personifies it or patronizes the daylight. In Greece, Apollo was just such a deity, in Rus' - Dazhdbog. However, in the similarity of Apollo and Dazhdbog there is some discrepancy, or even rather a discrepancy in people’s vision of family ties. Apollo, according to Greek mythology, is the son of the goddess Lethe (Lada) and the brother of Artemis (Lelya), while in Slavic mythology we only find him mentioned as the son of Svarog. However, this does not mean at all that Dazhdbog could not be the son of Svarog and Lada.- Slavic god of the Sun and sunlight. Some researchers call two deities at once the sun gods - Dazhdbog and Khors. At the same time, Dazhdbog is presented as the patron of sunlight, the giver of light and warmth. Horse is the patron of the solar disk itself, “horo” is a circle, a wheel. In ancient Greek mythology it corresponds to Helios- solar deity, god of the all-seeing Sun.

Perun- god of thunder and lightning. One of the highest gods of the ancient pagan Slavs. He was especially respected by the princely squad and was considered the patron saint of warriors and military affairs. In Greek mythology, Perun corresponds to the god Zeus.

- god of the sky, thunder and lightning. Considered the main god of Olympus. Zeus is also considered the father of humans and many gods. The attributes or symbols of Zeus are the shield and the axe. The symbol of Perun, as well as his Scandinavian counterpart Thor, is also an ax or ax. In ancient ideas, the ax symbolized a lightning strike that splits trees, which is why in many cultures the ax was considered sacred, possessing special power. Miniature hatchets, which were used as amulets, are found in the lands of many peoples. Particular attention should be paid to such ancient Greek demigods as Sirens . It is worth immediately noting that Sirens, both by nature and even by nature, are very similar to our mermaids. Sirens in later mythology are represented as sea creatures, beautiful but dangerous mermaids. However, in early mythology we can see Sirens as winged maidens with chicken or bird legs. Surprisingly, our Beregini mermaids also underwent exactly the same metamorphosis, which you can read about in a separate article ““. The Beregini of the ancient Slavs were imagined as aerial or flying maidens, similar to invisible or ghostly maidens protecting people and crops. In Christianity, angels are considered such guardians. Later, the beregins, who were also called mermaids and pitchforks, suddenly turned into water maidens, girls with fish tails. This is exactly how mermaids are represented today, although in ancient times mermaids were not water spirits at all. The same story is observed with the ancient Greek Sirens, who, being winged air maidens, for one reason or another turned into half-humans, half-fish that live in water. How it happened that the “sphere of activity” of similar goddesses was replaced in two cultures is a real mystery! Both the ancient mermaids and the ancient sirens were considered patroness of fertility. Also, according to one version, the mother of the Sirens is the goddess Gaia, who in Slavic mythology is identified with Makosh. Makosh, in turn, is mentioned in many ancient Russian writings together with the bereginya-mermaids-forks.

Zarya(Zorka, Zarya-Zaryanitsa, Dennitsa, Utrennitsa) - the goddess of the morning dawn. Appears as a star in the sky just before the appearance of the Sun. Dennitsa or Dawn is a goddess who is visible in the sky in the form of the last morning star - the planet Venus. From here came the belief that Dawn prepares the Sun to enter the sky and harnesses the horses of the Sun. The planet Venus is also visible in the evening hours, therefore it is believed that Zarya-Zaryanitsa also appears before the Sun leaves for the underworld, helps him unharness his horses and helps the Moon enter the sky. In ancient Greece, the goddess Eos corresponded to Dawn. Eos- the goddess of the dawn, who early in the morning leaves the ocean in the form of a beautiful-haired maiden in a chariot and rises into the sky, dispersing the darkness of the night. According to one of the legends, Aphrodite (Lelya), in revenge for the fact that Eos shared a bed with her beloved Ares, instilled in her love for mortals, since then Eos spends every night with one of the people, this explains the crimson light of the dawn, which is shy about what happened at night.

Yarilo- the god of spring fertility, the god of spring, frantic passion, love. Yarila corresponds to the Greek god Dionysus. In the modern world, it is a little mistaken to believe that Dionysus is exclusively the god of wine, drunkenness, carnal pleasures, and so on. However, in reality, these qualities of God are secondary or even consequential from his main qualities. Dionysus is the god of productive forces, the god of fertility, love passion, the god of plants. In ancient times, it was often depicted as a pillar (idol) decorated with shoots, flowers, and herbs. Dionysus patronized trees, gardeners, and cultivated plants. They offered prayers to Dionysus and brought gifts for the acceleration of tree growth and successful germination of crops. The winemaking of Dionysus is connected with the same patronage of trees, in particular grapes, and products made from plants, in particular wine. It was Dionysus who was thanked for giving a good harvest of grapes from which wine was made. In addition, God, who is distinguished by a cheerful and cheerful disposition, perfectly suited the image of the influence of wine and beer. From here we can try to conclude that Yarilo could be considered the god of wine and beer among the Slavs, because Yarilo’s main qualities are also the patronage of seedlings and fertility, he was represented as a cheerful god who literally rages with his unbridled power, giving life, fun, and happiness to the spring world .

You cannot change your oath to the Motherland and people, and you cannot change your faith. I, personally, am an Orthodox Christian, I was baptized in infancy by Father Alexy, therefore, no matter what they tell me, I am baptized into Orthodoxy and will remain Orthodox until the end of my days. Next, in the army, I took the oath of allegiance to my Motherland, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and the Soviet people, and I will be faithful to my oath until the end of my days.

Many have already betrayed their oath of allegiance to the Soviet Motherland and the Soviet people, and they have also betrayed the Orthodox faith. We are still seeing what this leads to. Consanguineous Croats and Serbs, speaking the same Serbo-Croatian language, but they hate each other with fierce hatred, and this is because some of them are Catholics, others are Orthodox. Or the same-blooded Poles and Russians have fought with each other all their lives, and the main obstacle to friendship between us and them is the Catholic faith of the Poles, and the Orthodox faith of the Russians. And absolutely ugly forms in our relationships are now taking place within the Russian ethnos. Part of the Russian people living in the west of Russia in the Carpathians, mainly, at the end of the 16th century, betrayed the Orthodox faith and, moreover, did not go far from Orthodoxy and did not come to Catholicism, but became the so-called Uniates, seemingly subordinate to the Pope of Rome, but calling themselves adherents Greco-Roman confession. And who is causing the most trouble today? From the Uniates, if we remember that Bandera and Shukhevych were the sons of these same Uniate priests who do not breathe Christian virtue, but instead of breathing the hiss of a python. Then the schismatic Denisenko added turmoil to the Russian people

Now we are talking about Rodnoverie. But our native faith has been the Orthodox Christian faith for more than a thousand years. But according to some data, Christianity already existed in Rus' long before Prince Vladimir and goes back to apostolic times and one of the apostles of Jesus Christ, Andrew the First-Called, baptized Rus' according to the Arian model. Now a researcher of ancient inscriptions, Doctor of Sciences Professor Chudinov, finds inscriptions from two thousand years ago on the frescoes of ancient temples and icons. Some ancient temples built by Arian Christians have Arian inscriptions.

And the entry of the Christian faith into Rus' was very difficult during the time of Prince Vladimir. And if the baptism of Rus' by Andrew the First-Called took place so easily, why was it because the traditional holidays and deities of the Rus were not touched. The Old Gods did not interfere with the entry of the Christian faith into the life of the Russian people. It seems that the Russians were provoked to revolt by the innovation of a new religion even then, in order to weaken and fragment the Russian people into parts according to faith. And our enemies succeed in this.

Here we must remember Zeus, and Jupiter, and our suffering Perun. Well, why didn’t the Greeks, accepting the Christian faith, overthrow their God of Heaven, Thunder and Lightning, Zeus? He remained with them as a symbol of the antiquity of his people and the traditions flowing from Zeus to Christ. The Greek main God Zeus sits on the throne even in the St. Petersburg Hermitage. Of course, the veneration that he had from the people is no longer there. But he is alive, they honor him in their own way, but most importantly, they do not touch him, and the Greek people consider the antiquity of their people according to the years of Zeus. The Roman God of Thunder and Lightning, Jupiter, also remained untouched. Even the papal Inquisition did not touch him. Why did they immediately overthrow Perun, although he was not only the God of Thunder and Lightning, Perun is the Thunderer. Was it really not clear to these overthrowers that the overthrow of God only fuels the people’s, especially the Russian people’s, secret love for him? What happened and is happening cannot be corrected. There were and are still living and active priests of the old Russian Gods, then schismatics appeared, although Patriarch Nikon brought about the split. After all, there are Old Believers, Bespopovtsy, Molokans, and now Rodnovers have appeared.

I am an Orthodox Christian, I have not betrayed my faith in Christ and will not change it, but some clergy need to finally come to their senses and not fall on the side of the enemies of the Russian Orthodox people and not engage in denunciation of things that are not being denounced. Go about your business preaching the teachings of Christ, bring people faith in goodness, which our God Jesus Christ taught, faith in compassion for one’s neighbor, restore such concepts as do not kill, do not steal, love your neighbor as yourself, and if these sermons are sincere and confirmed by your practical actions of renouncing the love of money, then the people will perk up and reciprocate.
