"Rethinking" NFS Most Wanted (2005)
It's hard to believe, but most of the players' anger (2012) comes from... its title. And they, quite rightly, make great demands on the new creation. Criterion Games, since they dared to use such a big name for PR.

The key to victory is the right choice of parts for a particular race. If you were unable to pass the competition after several attempts, it is worth considering changing the details. So, to resist the cops, you need to increase the rigidity and put on retreading tires. In a race with large off-road sections, it is worth using off-road tires. And if you definitely don’t have to leave the track often (racing around the city, to the perimeter), then you can score on stiffness and off-road, focusing on speed and acceleration. It's no joke - the right set of parts can bring up to 20 seconds of advantage at the finish line, compared to the wrong one!
Race types
There are only four of them:

You cannot set the difficulty of the game yourself. Each competition has its own.

In addition to you, AI-controlled civilian cars drive around Fairhaven, slow and bored, as well as police patrols, together they give the appearance of urban life, since pedestrians, for obvious reasons, are not here.

First of all, it is a search for cars. They are like "Pokémon" and are asking you to find them all.
Race
Each car has its own set of races, victories in which unlock new upgrades, especially for this car. If you set a goal - to tune every car in the game - you will have to play for a very long time.

In order to take the place of the most badass and most wanted racer in the city, you need to collect 1,000,000 Speed Points and defeat each of the list of the 10 most dangerous Fairhaven street racers.

How to start a chase
Easy peasy! First, you can just find a cop in the city (blue arrows on the radar). Crash into it, or rush past at high speed. They react immediately.
Option two: use EasyDrive, in the "Racing" section, select a competition with the "Ambush" mode.
Option three: the chase can be a continuation of the race. The police will start attacking you during the race, and after it the chase will just continue.

The status of the chase, which is also the level, determines, first of all, what forces will be thrown against you. And it also affects the multiplier for you to receive Speed Points for all actions during the chase. While chasing with a level 6 status, you can score a good hundred thousand speed points! But it becomes very difficult to escape from the police.
After about the third level, barriers from a number of empty police cars will also begin to be used against you, and they will also scatter tapes with spikes in front of you, running into which you will puncture the wheels. You can fix them by driving through the workshop, or they will inflate themselves if a special upgrade is installed on your car. But it is better to avoid both spikes and barriers.
Also, at each level, the police will roll out new cars against you. At first, only ordinary patrol cars will hunt you, then the traffic police will join. Then the most dangerous interceptors, heavy vehicles and special forces are connected.
How to end the chase
You can also try to escape from their field of view (clear circle on the radar). At speed, or taking advantage of the terrain. When you succeed, the “avoidance” mode will turn on - your wanted status decreases, and when it reaches the bottom mark, the chase will stop. But the cops are not asleep - they will flock to the place where you were last seen. So you need to get away from there with all your might, and not along the highway - leave the gardens. Also an option - you can hide somewhere, drive into a parking lot, onto a high railway, or inside a pipe at a construction site. Those tricks still work. Also in the "cooldown" mode, when you escaped from the "circle of vision" of the cops, you can drive through the workshop and repaint the car, or even change it in the parking lot - this will drastically lower the status of the chase.
If you do get caught, the penalty is this: all the Speed Points you earned during this chase will be taken away! However, if the chase has just begun and you have few points, it makes sense to simply surrender to the authorities. This will save you time. But what the hell am I saying?! Russians don't give up!

During the chase, you will hear the cops talking to the dispatcher. In addition to simple human words, codes are also used - numbers. If you do not know them, many messages will seem meaningless.
