Here is collected all the information on obtaining the equipment of the Griffin School. The school has 4 gradations: ordinary, improved, excellent and master. Drawings of ordinary equipment are obtained through the task "Witcher's Antiquities: Equipment of the Griffin School", and all subsequent ones already without tasks.

Creating a stronger version of equipment requires the previous one, so you can’t just find blueprints for master equipment and immediately make yourself a “top” version. You need to find and craft everything in turn.

Geralt found traces of blueprints that belonged to the legendary witcher Georg. Our hero heard many incredible stories about his equipment, and therefore decided to follow the traces found to the end.

The testimony of the witcher George

I, the undersigned Georg from Kagen, a witcher by profession, report the following.

While I was in Velen, I was called in as a specialist to verify the testimony of the accused Bartoslav from Lyubovna.

The same Bartoslav was allegedly guilty of the death of several ships in the vicinity of the sea lighthouse, for which he was responsible. Vessels, led by the deceptive fire of the lighthouse, flew into the coastal cliffs, and the caretaker should have been punished for this. During the process, Bartoslav showed that he was fulfilling his duties in good conscience, and the night owls should be responsible for the incident, that they were deceiving the navigators with wandering lights.

After a quick investigation, I confirm that no traces of night owls have been found in the area. There are also no traces of middays, lures, deceivers and other ghosts that love to lead tired travelers astray, such as: sea, foot or horse.

On the other hand, I discovered the true cause of the disasters: noondays (vide spar) are not to blame for them, but the lighthouse keeper is not responsible either. These accidents happen because of the surrounding peasants, who kindle fires on the hills at night, and then rob the crashed ships. I went on their trail thanks to the son of Bartoslav, he also showed me the marks from these fires.

According to the information I received, the caretaker Bartoslav from Lyubovna is not guilty of the atrocities of which he is accused. However, I humbly submit a request that the seneschal provide the overseer's family with protection, because in the light of the circumstances that I discovered together with Bartoslav's son, there will certainly be those who want to take revenge on him. I myself cannot take on his protection, because, having accepted the order to kill the dragon prowling in the vicinity of the Crooked-Ear Hills, I will have to return to the hills and kill the beast there before she tears my customers apart.

Of course, I'm interested to see how they will put him in this tomb, if the men say that some kind of vampire is sitting there.

Fortunately, I managed to save several manuscripts (including an interesting sketch of a shell). But enough about that.

According to the testimony of direct witnesses: the scales are ashy, the height at the withers is two fathoms, the length is five fathoms (addendum: estimated weight - about 14 centners). The ability to keep heat in the bellows (dragon lungs) for more than a quarter of an hour. Conclusion: we are dealing with a green dragon.

There is no quest associated with finding improved blueprints. All drawings are in different places. There are no difficulties with obtaining them, it is enough to know the place where the drawing is located, so the description will be brief.

Great equipment requires level 21-23 to use, so before level 21 it makes no sense to go looking for them. The blueprints are located on the Skellige Islands. To get there, you must have completed the quest On Skellige.

The search for blueprints is not associated with any job. In total, the drawings are in three places - in one steel sword, in the second silver, and in the third armor + pants + gloves + shoes.

The search for master drawings is also not associated with any task. Equipment requires level 30-31, but I personally took the blueprints without any problems at level 21. In two places there will be strong opponents of level 30, but you don’t have to fight them anywhere - you can safely run past.

A lot of interesting content was added to The Witcher 3 with the release of the Blood and Wine add-on: a huge location made from scratch with its inimitable color and atmosphere, new and well-forgotten old monsters, characters unfamiliar and previously seen in books and, of course, new sets of armor and weapons - witchers, knights and even vampires. Here we will talk about the last two types of combat equipment for our fencing master today. Let's help Geralt spruce up and decorate the main hall of Corvo Bianco with truly unique pieces of armor and blades.

Nominal knightly armor, a crossbow, a sword, a saddle and even a shield will go to our hero if he does not refuse the request of Guillaume de Longfall and agrees to take part in the Grand Knightly Tournament instead. Both sets are completely identical in their characteristics and differ only in the name and the heraldic signs applied to them.

In a sword fight you can use potions, food and oils, but only on condition that they were placed in active slots and applied to the blade in advance, i.e. BEFORE talking to Guillaume about Vivienne's curse in Geralt's tent. Sets of specialized witcher armor are the most powerful artifacts in the game. Getting them is not easy, but one way or another, Geralt will discover the corresponding blueprints scattered around the world.

Witcher School Equipment

The vanilla version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt contains three sets of such armor and weapons belonging to the following schools:

  • Cat School Light armor that provides protection from elemental damage. It also increases the power of attacks. The base set requires level 17.
  • Griffon School- medium armor, increase the power of signs. Basic set - level 11.
  • Bear School- heavy armor, increase the speed of adrenaline gain. The base set requires level 20.

All schools provide additional protection against monster damage. For the schools of the Cat and the Bear, there are also drawings for making crossbows.

Sets of other Schools can be obtained by installing add-ons to the original version of the game.

For example, the Hearts of Stone DLC adds some equipment to the game Schools of the Serpent(requires level 40 to use). And a separate free add-on: Treasure Hunt: Items wolf schools» (Wolf School Gear), adds blueprints of the corresponding school to the game. Wolf equipment can be used from level 14.

Equipment can be found in the powerful Blood & Wine DLC Manticore schools, it requires level 40.

The armor of the "vanilla" schools and the School of the Wolf can be improved in stages, moving from ordinary to "improved", then to "excellent" and, finally, becoming "workshops". The Grandmaster level is added in the Blood and Wine DLC.

Each upgrade level requires an armorer/blacksmith of sufficient skill. Creating master armor will require finding true masters in their field. But first they will ask you to complete tasks.

Rare and unique equipment

The "weak point" of the equipment of the witcher schools, created according to the drawings, is that it is of a fixed level. The game contains common, rare, magic equipment and relics that can be found in chests or knocked out of opponents. The required level for these items may vary, and the characteristics of the artifacts will depend on this.

Here is an example of a Small Club with the required levels 28 and 20.

The game is designed in such a way that by the final events of the main quest you will be able to put on master armor and weapons from any witcher school (one of the Schools from the game without DLC), i.e. reach level 34.

After going through the whole game, I gained experience only up to level 35. But in the game you can find recipes for creating items designed for a much higher level of the character. Considering that experience is given mainly for completing quests, reaching the required level seems to be an impossible task.

I reached level 38-39 by completing the Hearts of Stone DLC. At the same time, level 45-46 seems completely unattainable without installing add-ons that allow you to complete new tasks.

In this article, we will talk about the best armor in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Witcher armor in almost all parameters, especially in additional ones, surpasses everything else that we meet during the game. As soon as we get the first set of the witcher, for example, from the Griffin school, we stop paying attention to other armor, and in vain. The two strongest sets for attack and defense, partly consists of the so-called "second-rate" armor.

Now let's take a look at the most interesting and eye-catching sets that you will encounter at certain stages of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The very first set that we meet in the game world - Temerian armor. You can find it at the merchant in the White Garden, whom we saved from the Griffin. The only limitation is the price and level. The best property is that it is light armor. In general, it does not provide any additional bonuses other than resistance. The set is worth attention, but only because of its appearance. If you come to the merchant at level 50, then the level of his goods will already be 29.

We meet the second set of armor immediately after the "White Garden" in the castle in Vronitsy at the quartermaster, who stands not far from the entrance to the Bloody Baron's house. Nilfgaardian armor just as bad as the Temersky ones. This is a medium type of armor, and medium armor without strengthening signs is useless. To me, it looks much worse than the first.

The third and last set that we can buy from merchants in the game, we meet on the Skellige Islands at the forge in Kaer Trolde. Heavy armor from Undvik just like the previous ones, they do not have any additional characteristics other than resistance. However, it is precisely these parameters that are important for heavy armor and the fact that you can simply buy them and not look for recipes deserve attention.

The Hearts of Stone expansion gave us four types of new armor. Witcher set of the Serpent school, which is very similar to the basic armor from Kaer Morhen. Traditional Ophir clothes: kaftans, kuntushi. Set of the robber and set "Flaming Rose". None of these armors can be bought ready-made. For everyone, you need to find recipes, and then make them.

To receive you need to Ophir armor, you need to talk to the merchant. Visit a couple of places, kill a bunch of fanatics from the Order of the Burning Rose, and only then make copies. They look very unusual, especially after the heavy Skellig ones.

Embroidered Kuntush- you can get it at a wedding or in the house of Olgerd's wife, in terms of parameters it is somewhat inferior to Ophir armor, but it looks amazing.

Find a recipe Armor of the Knights of the Burning Rose not easy enough, for example, killing bandits and checking all the chests along the way. The armor, of course, is heavy and, apart from bonuses to resistance, has nothing. Unfortunately, this is not a complete set: sword, cuirass and gloves.

All this pales in comparison with the armor - new moon(relic). We are given it during the quest "Robbery". Medium armor type, has two rare bonuses: increased chance and critical damage power. Slightly changing the previous version, increasing the required level and all the parameters, we get Bockler guard armor(magic item). As you progress through the Blood and Wine expansion, you will be able to collect all the necessary parts for this armor.

Again, by increasing all the stats and the minimum required level, we already have Bockler officer's armor(relic)

Extremely difficult to assemble, and in terms of its characteristics, it is comparable to grandmaster sets. All these armors must be crafted, and in order to collect all the recipes for this armor, you will have to check absolutely all the chests. On the other hand, it is not necessary to look for all this, because we have four alternatives at once with the appearance, like a knight's armor.

For example, Armor of the knight Geralt of Rivia, which we are given during participation in the tournament. It has rather weak characteristics, so this is not the best option.

Armor from Tesham Mutna, or as it is also called, the Tesmah Mutna shell is an excellent armor with a unique ability to absorb HP. Finding them is easy, just be careful during the quest with Regis in the castle of the same name.

With the following options it is already more difficult, because you will not be able to get both at once. If you go to the world of a thousand fairy tales, then you can find Toussaint armor. But if you go to the cave to the Hidden One, you can get armor from Hen Hydt.

Personally, I don't like this armor.
