Project Nevada
This mod truly changes the game, giving it a massive rebalance, adding new features and much more. It is possible to select only certain modules, without forcing the player to endure those parts of the modification that are frankly uninteresting to him. You can configure modules directly in the settings, and the settings, in turn, are very responsive. What modules will visit you if you install this mod?
For example, the Cyberware module will add implants to the game for various parts of the body, which can increase your characteristics and provide some additional capabilities. The Rebalance module will greatly improve great amount details of the game, balancing it to the point of impossibility. The Equipment module, oddly enough, will add a bunch of new weapons and armor. And it will all be yours as soon as you download the mod.
World of Pain
It adds a lot of well-developed locations to the game that will delight you with new NPCs, enemies, as well as things that can be obtained while traveling through these wastelands. The modification uses only game resources, and therefore the mod weighs terribly little. Your settlement will grow as NPCs begin to make changes to their homes, without you having to keep track of every little detail like the choice of furniture or the color of the walls.
This is a rotorcraft you can live in. It doesn't technically fly - it's more of a way to quickly move around the map, but you can create landing zones throughout the map and move between them. The living quarters are quite small, and the vertibird's engine needs to be cooled regularly, but it's still a cozy place to live, with a handy crafting bench and powerful turrets for scaring off neighbors.
Place Everywhere allows you to place previously static objects like workbenches anywhere on the map, making the building process much easier. In addition, you can build anywhere - in trees, on the surface of water, and even inside other objects. Red alerts are a thing of the past. The mod requires the Fallout Script Extender utility, which can be found at the end of the list.
Tired of carrying everything you can get your hands on back to your settlement? This mod will help you. Make beacons, take them with you, and when your inventory gets full during your adventures, simply put all the excess in a container and equip it with a beacon for the inhabitants of your settlement to take it. They will stack everything near your workbench, which will save you a lot of time.
Considering that Fallout 4 places a huge emphasis on construction, it's surprising that Bethesda didn't think of something like this themselves. It's nice that factions give you a place to live when you join them, but what they offer is usually not something you want to waste your time on. Available for Vault 81, Prydwen, the Railroad, the Castle, and The Institute.
If you are using the Contraptions Workshop DLC for Fallout 4, then you will definitely want to install this mod, which significantly improves the factories in your settlements. It adds a number of logical features, such as conveyor belts that accept any garbage directly from inventory, and return full-fledged items.
There are also new machines, such as a loom for creating bunker clothing and faction outfits, forges for heavy armor, ranged and melee weapons, and a distillery where you can create cola and booze. There is even a machine for processing corpses (including human ones) into meat, bones and skin.
The settlers who come to the call on the radio are usually... boring. Most of them are dressed approximately the same, and sometimes it is difficult to distinguish them from each other unless they each have something special on them. This mod adds over 150 new settlers, so new gardeners and peat cleaners will now look at least a little more individual. And another mod, Don’t Call Me Settler, will also give them unique names.
If you suddenly want to customize or change your character's appearance after you leave your home at the start of Fallout 4, you can now do so through plastic surgery. This mod allows you to do this action in any of your settlements by simply adding a mirror to your workshop. Place a mirror on any wall and using it allows you to change your appearance.
Looking after your settlement can become quite a tedious task, and even after carefully arranging all your belongings on the shelves, they will likely be knocked over later by a clumsy worker, a companion, or even you. This mod not only makes it easier to place items (loot items can now be moved just like static objects using the workshop menu), but also allows you to lock them in place to avoid falling. Perfect.
The size of your settlement in Fallout 4 is strictly limited, it can only be “so” large, and you can only use “so many” objects. Graphics and weather improvements
While Fallout 4's appearance is definitely more colorful and less greenish than Fallout 3's, it's still a bit washed out. This ReShade/SweetFX file, after installation, will make the external dynamics of the game brighter. You can check out the images before installing to show that the changes aren't too drastic, but the pop colors are now a little more pronounced.

If you look closely, a lot of the textures in Fallout 4 aren't all that breathtaking, which is especially noticeable if you carefully play through the game instead of chasing maximum speeds. One modder has been hard at work increasing the detail of the terrain textures to make your walk through the wasteland just a little more beautiful.
If you want the nights in Fallout 4 to really look like nights, then you need this mod. Giving you a choice between seven different night settings, it will make your evenings either a little darker or pitch black. Interiors will also become darker at night if they are not well lit by lights. Use it wisely.
This mod makes shell casings visible over long distances (500 meters) during firefights, and delays their disappearance time much longer (an hour). This is a small change, but adds a little realism to the game. After a big fight, the ground should literally be covered in shell casings, and now it will be. It will work well with a mod that makes the duration of the presence of bullet marks longer and visible at greater distances.
On the topic of rain: someone changed the textures of the tiny and barely noticeable drops from Bethesda. The goal of the creators of the modification was to improve the visual atmosphere and also make the picture more realistic. The Enhanced Wasteland Preset has greatly changed lighting, shadows, and added several new effects. The changes can be seen in the screenshots:
Installing the Enhanced Wasteland Preset is very simple: just download all the files from NexusMods and move them to the root folder of Fallout 4, which is usually located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4.
Darker Nights
If you feel like the nights in Fallout 4 aren't dark enough, you can use the Darker Nights mod. The modification makes the game more realistic in terms of night lighting. There are a total of 7 darkness levels available. The seventh is definitely the most atmospheric.

Fallout 4 Seasons
If you want the wasteland in Fallout 4 to really live its own life, then you should install the Fallout 4 Seasons modification. It adds a full-fledged change of seasons to the game with visual changes - in the spring everything turns green, in the summer the sun shines brightly and the vegetation is wild, autumn is similar to the original Fallout 4 graphics, and in winter snow falls, which crushes everything under itself.
It is recommended that you back up all game data before installation. Installation: unpack all files into \Fallout4\Data.
Enhanced Blood Textures
Fallout 4 doesn't have the most detailed or beautiful blood textures, but the Enhanced Blood Textures mod fixes that. It’s strange that in the desert, and even in post-apocalypse conditions, the weather is so calm. The creators of the Nevada Skies mod also thought this was unrealistic, and therefore it adds a lot of weather effects to the game. Expect thunderclaps, deadly radioactive storms, powerful sandstorms and terrible firestorms. The mod also includes darker nights, new high-resolution textures for the sun and moon, and more voluminous clouds.
A new item appears in the settings that allows you to change the weather conditions to your taste, be it blood-red skies, heavy rain or soft snowfall.
MTUI
Over long hours of playing New Vegas, you can easily destroy your mouse wheel. The game interface was originally designed for consoles and gamers sitting at a decent distance from their TV screens. That is why the fonts are made so large that the texts sometimes do not fit on the monitor screen. The MTUI mod fixes this problem, so you no longer have to constantly scroll down texts.
As you know, people are supposed to die from shots to the head. The creators of the Realistic Headshots mod brought this simple logic into the world of the game, maximizing the damage from headshots. But don't worry, this won't make the game too easy: the chances of getting hit in the head are now greatly reduced, and some robots and monsters are still immune to headshots. In addition, now you are also vulnerable, and therefore it is strongly recommended to get hold of a good helmet.
A huge team of developers worked on this ambitious mod for several years. Project Brazil takes place in California in one of the new shelters, outside of which there is a large and dangerous world where a large-scale quest and many additional missions await you. Technically, the mod is in beta testing mode, and therefore various bugs slip through here every now and then, but now it is worth recommending to everyone who misses it and is eager for new adventures.
Do you remember the first time you got to New Vegas? How delighted we were to enter the casino, putting away our weapons and proceeding to the gaming room... to see two sad NPCs near the slot machines. One of the main drawbacks of Fallout: New Vegas was that the casinos were completely boring.
But the Populated Casinos mod adds people to the casino. Gamblers sit at the tables, visitors pass by enthusiastically talking, and the staff watches everything. Vegas has finally become what we are used to seeing it.
In principle, I had nothing against a camera hanging over the character’s shoulder, but after the Centered Camera mod I no longer want to return to this viewing mode. It became much easier for me to rotate the character, take good screenshots from all angles, and also look at the world(the zoom function appeared here).
Roleplayer's Alternative Start
This mod, unlike others, adheres to the classic traditions of New Vegas. Only the beginning of the game has been changed here - you no longer have to sit with Dr. Mitchell and answer his questions, and then begin your adventures in Goodsprings. In Roleplayer's Alternative Start, the game starts at a random point on the map, and you only have a couple of things, which are determined by the results of a short questionnaire. Otherwise, this is a familiar game experience with the same familiar quests.
Sometimes even minor details can radically change the entire gameplay. The Improved Companion Sandbox mod adjusts the behavior of your companions. They no longer stand rooted to the spot while you go about your business, but actively interact with the environment. They can sit on a nearby chair, lean against a wall, or simply stand in a bored yet realistic pose. In other words, they behave like people, and not like stupid bots.
In this extensive mod, you will find many innovations that you can choose manually: Project Nevada is divided into several sections to make it easier for you to select the gameplay innovations that you want to try. The main feature of the mod is the addition of elements that are typical for shooters, such as time slowdown, quick selection of grenades and improved aiming from various types weapons. Here you can also implant implants into the character’s body that improve vision, strength, speed and endurance. If you wish, you can even increase the difficulty of the game, which adds a survival element to the gameplay, or add new weapons and equipment to your arsenal.
Dying nature is beautiful in its own way, and the NMCS Texture Pack mod actively takes advantage of this, bringing new colors to the familiar world of New Vegas. Here the textures of roads, trees, buildings, cars and other game objects have been replaced (only character and weapon skins, as well as water and sky textures, remain intact). At the same time, the game has become more demanding on the computer, but the mod provides three levels of graphics quality, so it can be run on almost any PC.
Alternative Repairing
DownloadThe weapon is broken, the knife is dull, and huge pieces are falling off the armor. How can I fix this? You have two options: either find similar equipment and use it for spare parts, or pay a decent amount to a gunsmith. But the Alternative Repairing mod allows you to disassemble your items into small parts and use them for repairs. This adds variety to the game and allows you to feel like a real mechanic.
Jsawyer Mod
DownloadIf you think that the original New Vegas was too simple, then we recommend that you check out the mod from Joshua Sawyer (this, by the way, is the real author of New Vegas), and, believe me, surviving here will not be easy. There are many patches here that reduce the amount of experience gained, slow down the growth of character levels, reduce the carried weight and make the hero more vulnerable to attacks. You will have to constantly ensure that the character is well-fed and rested, and cartridges and stimulants (which used to be lighter than air) now weigh several kilograms. Dozens of changes challenge players, turning New Vegas into the hardcore survival game it was originally intended to be.

There are sometimes barricaded houses in the wasteland, but considering how powerful the explosives the character is walking around with, many would like to be able to break into these houses. The EVE mod adds new effects to the game, thanks to which shots spectacularly pierce the bodies of enemies, and explosions picturesquely tear off their limbs.

In this mod you have to take control of the Run the Lucky 38 casino and turn it into the main attraction of the Mojave Desert. Immersive Karma

Let's admit, we often look at the local map, but it is not made in the most convenient way, is it? The Colored Map and Icons mod can correct this situation. It allows you to adjust the screen resolution for the map, display all the necessary information on it, add colored icons and coordinates to a particular object. This, of course, is post-apocalyptic, but who said that a gadget on your hand cannot be made pleasing to the eye?
People from the Enclave can easily be considered the antagonists of the game, but sometimes you also did not do the most moral things, didn’t you? Now you can join this organization and become more familiar with its principles.
