Garbage in the country is always a hindrance, especially in the autumn, when you want to clean the cottage and leave it clean until spring. But a variety of trash is not so useless, because it can be used for your own needs. So, today we are talking about the benefits of garbage in the country, no matter how trite it may sound.

Many country ideas involve the use of old things in the country, and we talked about this earlier. But today we will also touch on new topics that our readers have not heard about before, and we will tell you How to effectively use garden waste.

Tree branches for compost and firewood

When pruning an orchard, we often forget about the branches that can lie on the same pile for many years. But when they are needed for a barbecue or a firebox, the branches are already unsuitable for this, as they “fell victim” to insects and moisture. Therefore, we recommend that you think in advance about the branches that can be used with greater benefit.

First of all, thick branches and even trunks of uprooted trees are excellent firewood for cooking meat and other dishes on a fire. Especially if it is firewood from fruit trees. Also, logs harvested in time and folded into the built firewood shed will help to melt the stove in the house, which is especially important in autumn and winter.

Smaller branches can also be put to good use rather than just burned while watching a tall fire. They will make excellent compost and in a few years will give one of the best fertilizers that you can only dream of in the country.

Old boards on boxes

Not so long ago we talked about boxes, a wide variety. It is very practical to use them in the country - to store tools, various things, vegetables and fruits in boxes. So it is for the production of such boxes that old boards are suitable. There is nothing wrong if they are chipped and with nails, the boards can always be processed with high quality.

A hot air gun will help to remove excess paint from the surface, pliers will help to cope with nails, and new impregnations will provide protection for many years. Now that the boards are prepared for the production of products, simply knock down boxes and bins from them, and even shelving for giving, shelves in cellars and basements.

Useful construction waste

Once we mentioned that construction waste should not be thrown away, and now we want to point out this fact again, because broken bricks, pieces of concrete and cinder block are an excellent alternative to new bulk materials.

Why order a whole car of gravel or crushed stone when you can simply not take out construction waste. Here you can immediately see a double benefit - you do not spend money on the purchase of material, since you do not spend it on the removal of alternative material, that is, garbage!

Where can construction debris go in the country? Yes, anywhere. This includes backfilling a site in areas with stagnant water, and laying a drainage layer in ditches, if the groundwater level in the country goes off scale, even filling holes and ravines, repairing access roads.

Metal in the country cannot be thrown away!

Throwing out rebar or mesh, you can pass for a spender throughout the dacha cooperative, since everything related to metal is immediately converted into dense wads of cash for many people. But it is, because all the metal products that are in the country are very expensive, and sometimes it is much easier to use even old and rusty metal for some kind of construction site or somewhere else than to buy a new one.

Let's look at a few examples to understand how much we need absolutely all country metal:

  • The fittings and corners will be used to install new frames for weaving plants and hedges in the spring. From the same materials, you can make arches for grapes, a metal fence in the household yard, or simply supports for plants;
  • Metal beams and channel bars that remained after the construction or dismantling of any building will become an excellent basis for a summer shower in the spring, for a barn or during the construction of a cellar, because it is with the help of these materials that the ceiling and ceilings are built;
  • Smaller metal elements in the country can always come in handy for pouring the foundation for landscape buildings, for dressing it, instead of expensive fittings. Mesh, wire, pieces of rod - everything is useful.

Well, if you can’t use the metal in the country, take it to the scrap metal collection point faster so that thieves don’t do it instead of you.

Leaves and paper are not garbage!

We do not offer to collect scraps of paper and old newspapers around the site to hand them over to waste paper. We do not recommend storing leaves. But putting it all in compost, along with the same branches, waste, and even cardboard, is a great solution. Do not throw away something that can become absolutely free fertilizer for the soil on which you will grow seedlings, berries, vegetables and herbs.

Glass containers in the country

A very interesting article about glass bottles has been on our site for a long time. It seems that this is where crafts from plastic bottles are. It is precisely for the reason that the use of glass containers in the country is available, and quite wide, we do not recommend taking bottles to the trash.

From glass bottles, you can make fences for flower beds and lawns, decorative lamps, and even masonry walls.

Old containers, basins and buckets

From an old bath in the country, you can make a small lake, from buckets - flower beds and protection for seedlings, from basins and bowls - the basis for decorative fountains.

As you can see, the use of this trash can play into your hands, since with old buckets, tanks and bowls, not only decorative crafts are possible, but also more useful things. For example, in whole containers during the warm season, you can defend water, prepare fertilizers, store bulk materials and products, etc.

Windows and window sills are useful garbage!

Replacing windows in the country is a good idea, because in winter new windows will help keep the heat in the house, which we have already insulated. But it often happens that old wooden windows immediately go to the trash, the glass breaks and the frames are burned. This is not worth doing, because for a long time we have had a wonderful solution for them - a greenhouse from windows, well, or just greenhouses for seedlings.

It is also interesting that window sills should not be thrown away. They can always turn into garden paths. Naturally, this is not the best solution, since the appearance of such products is far from attractive. But there is an option to place such paths in the utility yard, in the puddle zone or in a similar place.

You can also use old window sills in the form of borders, as a basis for installing something, the same summer shower, well, or if they are generally in an unusable condition, then break the window sills into small pieces and use them already as construction debris.

If only useless garbage remains in the country, you can simply burn it, or take it to a landfill.

We continue to consider the important topic of maximizing the use of resources at a construction site. On the agenda is a brick fight.

brick fight- this is a material consisting of stones and chips obtained by dismantling brick building structures or from waste from the production of building material (defective brick factory), photo 1.

Brick fight or brick chips - where they use, dignity

At the industrial level, brick fighting is produced by using special crushing machines. The brick fight is then sifted into fractions. Brick scrap can be bought at crushing and screening complexes or brick factories. Also, the brick battle remains on the construction site after masonry work during the construction of walls and partitions of buildings.

There are the following types of brick fight depending on the faction size:

  • screening - particle size 0 ... 10 mm;
  • fine fraction - particle size 0 ... 20 mm;
  • middle fraction - particle size 20 ... 40 mm;
  • coarse fraction - particle size 40 ... 100 mm or 40 ... 70 mm;
  • sometimes there are fractions of brick battle with particles of 0 ... 100 mm and 0 ... 300 mm.

The relevance of the use of brick fighting is growing every year for several reasons:

  1. The high cost of crushed stone and other aggregates.
  2. A large number of dismantled old brick buildings and structures.
  3. On purchased private plots, there are often brick buildings that need to be dismantled, and you need to spend extra money for the removal of construction waste.
  4. When performing masonry work, there is always a brick battle and rubble.

Depending on the material from which the resulting brick battle, there are the following types of it:

  • red brick brick fight;
  • brick fight from a silicate brick;
  • brick battle from fireclay bricks.

The most common option is a red brick battle. Silicate brick batt has low frost resistance.

Where can you apply a brick fight?

Options for the use of brick fighting at a construction site:

  • as a material for backfilling dirt roads, temporary access roads to a construction site;
  • as a backfill for the foundation of garden paths;
  • as a backfill for wells, pits, trenches, gaps between the foundation and the ground;
  • as an additional or main aggregate for concrete (making a foundation for small buildings, concrete paths, a foundation for a fence, etc.);
  • as a filler in three-layer walls (for example, during the construction of well masonry walls) to increase the sound and heat insulation properties of the wall;
  • as a soundproof backfill for wooden floors;
  • as a decorative material for decorating flower beds, alpine slides;
  • for strengthening soils on slopes;
  • as a drainage layer on wetlands.

Types of secondary brick raw materials

Brick battle retains all the basic properties of the primary material. There are the following types of combat:

  • ceramic, characterized by low moisture absorption, good frost resistance and high density. Weight m³ from solid feedstock 2000, and hollow up to 1400 kg;
  • silicate, has low frost resistance and absorbs moisture well. The weight of m³ of pebbles from materials that do not contain voids is 1.8 ... 1.95 tons, and the weight of hollow products is from 1.1 to 1.6 tons;
  • fireclay, characterized by high refractory properties and low ability to absorb moisture.

The battle of building bricks, according to the size of the pebbles obtained, is divided into the following fractions:

  • small - ≤ 20 mm:
  • medium - 20 ... 40 mm:
  • large - from 40 to 100 mm.

Before separation into fractions with the help of special sieves, the raw material is thoroughly cleaned of foreign inclusions and debris. In individual construction, uncleaned brick battle can often be used, containing parts of different types of brick materials, concrete inclusions and reinforcement.

The thermal conductivity of all considered varieties is characterized by close values.

The increase in demand for scrap is due to the following reasons:

  • constant growth of the already quite high cost of aggregates (crushed stone, gravel, natural sand, expanded clay and others);
  • in the process of masonry, a brick battle is always formed;
  • on many sites purchased for individual construction, there are old buildings that have served their time, interfering with new construction and subject to indispensable dismantling. It is easier to use the obtained secondary raw materials than to incur additional financial costs for its removal from the site;
  • constant growth in the city of buildings to be dismantled.

Available pros and cons of using

Advantages:

  • waste cost after dismantling brick buildings with your own hands and significantly lower, compared with other aggregates, when buying ready-made scrap;
  • sufficiently high strength indicators, higher than those of cellular concrete and wood;
  • good heat, sound insulation and frost resistance;
  • incombustibility and not maintaining active combustion;
  • possibility of application regardless of weather conditions;
  • brick fight provides good drainage;
  • environmental friendliness, due to the manufacture of natural ingredients, with 100% safety for human health and the absence of a negative impact on the environment;
  • light weight of the material, which does not require the use of special technical means and ensures the simplicity and speed of delivery to the installation site.

Disadvantages: it can be used for laying walls, but the work is highly laborious and time-consuming, each brick will have to be cleaned of the remnants of the old mortar. There is also a significant increase in the consumption of new mortar and the mandatory reinforced reinforcement of the masonry to avoid cracks.

What can be made from recycled material

  1. Arrangement of heat and sound insulating backfill during the installation of well masonry walls. Often used silicate chips.
  2. In the construction of local roads, as a base for the main coating, especially in swampy areas. Granite gravel is poured over the scrap, on which asphalt is laid. On such roads, it is permissible to add purified fractional crumbs in the preparation of an asphalt mixture. In winter and late autumn, temporary roads in rural areas can be built entirely of broken bricks.
  3. Backfilling of the road to suburban areas with ceramic quarry, backfilling of pits and potholes during the repair of the constructed existing road.
  4. Strengthening the soil on steep slopes.
  5. Use as drainage layers in waterlogged soils, underlayment in trenches when laying engineering communications.
  6. Used when pouring a blind area around the perimeter of buildings.
  7. Temporary broken brick road to construction sites. Such an entrance will last for several years, and then it can be used as a base for laying a permanent coating.
  8. Large pieces of ceramic products are good for various landscape works. You can build an alpine slide using scrap as a reinforced base, arrange garden beds, banks of a dry stream or garden paths. Small fractions are used to fill the tracks, and original patterns and compositions can be laid out from medium and large ones by tamping the crumb into a compacted sand preparation or cement-sand mortar. In this case, only scrap of clinker, hyperpressed or high-quality ceramic bricks can be used, which guarantees the durability of the coating.
  9. A durable road to the site, in the absence of significant loads that can last more than 10 years, can be obtained using fragments of clinker material.
  10. Fireclay material crushed into various fractions is used as a filler in refractory mortars.
  11. For the manufacture of gabions - rectangular boxes filled with stone rubble and broken bricks made of steel mesh.
  12. Replacing part of the rubble with a brick fight in the preparation of concrete mixtures. High-class concrete cannot be obtained, but for non-critical structures such a mixture can be used subject to the following conditions:
    • only ceramic scrap is suitable:
    • be sure to break the pieces with a sledgehammer to medium grinding;
    • it is permissible to add no more than 1/3 of the volume of crushed stone;
    • such concrete should be concentrated in the middle of structures to reduce moisture absorption.
  13. It is unacceptable to arrange a broken brick foundation for residential buildings, but it can be used for various non-essential outbuildings, fences, recreation areas, gazebos, etc. Often broken brick is used when installing fence posts. To do this, after installing the pillar, a brick break is poured into the pit with the pillar installed, compacted and poured with cement mortar. This is a simple, reliable, durable and cheap solution.

In conclusion: secondary brick raw materials, due to the cheapness of the material, are rational to use, but only in the construction of structures without mandatory compliance with the requirements of GOST and building codes and regulations.

The use of brick fighting

Broken brick can be used in the following works:

  1. - Preparing concrete
  2. — Podsypka under the screed,
  3. - Improvement of paths
  4. — Filling gabions,
  5. - Road alignment
  6. — Landscaping of the territory.

We note right away that you can use the battle of red and white bricks, while the white battle is more durable, it is not so afraid of moisture and does not crumble into building dust under its influence.

Backfill and concrete

Fight is an excellent replacement for gravel in the production of concrete, the proportion of broken bricks in the mortar can be from 5% to ¼. Such concrete withstands the load well, does not crack and does not exfoliate under the influence of temperature and humidity changes.

Also, with a brick battle, expanded clay can be replaced when pouring under the screed. In this case, you do not have to order additional material and you can save. It is important when using a cullet for backfilling to reinforce the screed with a metal mesh, which is laid on top of the backfill, under the screed. Mesh cell size from 20/20 mm.

Paths and roads

With the help of the battle, you can level the road near your house. To do this, broken white or red brick is poured into road bumps and rammed with a manual rammer. Such "patches" will keep the health of the car, and you will not have to remember "fools and roads" when leaving the cottage.

By fighting you can strengthen and decorate the tracks on the territory of a country house. To do this, the path is first trimmed, 3-7 cm of battlefield is poured over the ground and it is rammed. If you have a broken brick of two colors, you can mix it and sprinkle the path with such a combined material - it's beautiful and practical, because walking in the autumn slush along a solid path without puddles is more pleasant than along a swampy path.

Broken brick perfectly passes moisture, and after tamping it becomes an almost monolithic solid layer.

gabions

Bricks can be used to fill gabions, that is, structures of various shapes, which are made of a metal mesh with cells of different diameters. On a suburban area, gabions are used to create enclosing structures near pools, flower beds and even fences.

Broken bricks are poured into the gabion with a fine mesh until the structure is completely filled. Before backfilling, you can sift the battle, after which large pieces are sent to the gabion, a trifle is used in concrete work and for decorating paths.

landscape works

If there are a lot of irregularities on your suburban area, then they can be leveled with a brick battle. In this case, there will be no subsidence of the soil at the work site, the site will become flat, like an alpine lawn. It is important to add brick in such a way that there is room to put fertile soil on top - nothing will grow on burnt clay.

The accuracy of the leveling of the site is best controlled by a laser level, it will also help to divide the site into separate landscape zones.

Do not write off to get rid of the brick battle if, by the will of fate, you have it. This material can find many applications in landscape, construction or repair work.

Advantages and disadvantages of using broken bricks

The key advantages of using waste building resources are:

  • ease of installation. For paving garden sidewalks and paths from brick fragments, only basic knowledge of working with the material and a simple set of tools are required;
  • product availability. A waste resource allows you to save a considerable amount on the preparation of materials;
  • the possibility of recycling construction waste with a significant benefit for the budget. That is, there is no need to take out the broken remains of products in order to clear the area.

Among the disadvantages of using the remnants of building materials, they note the need for additional processing to extend the service life. Moreover, this does not apply to clinker bricks, which are characterized by high performance.

Brick fight - an excellent material for arranging garden paths

How to use broken brick

When planning how to use broken bricks in the country, home craftsmen find interesting solutions, such as:

  • paving beautiful garden sidewalks;
  • creating borders;
  • decoration of flower beds and high beds.

Also, when deciding how broken bricks can be used, it is recommended to use recycled material in the construction of gabions and the arrangement of foundations for alpine slides. Most gardeners are fond of decorating high vegetable beds, the design of which provides for the formation of a powerful drainage layer, where different-sized fragments of the battle can also be effectively used. With the help of waste products, it is easy to build high-quality drainage when planting trees and shrubs.

As experienced tilers note, the use of unsightly material can give quite original results. For example, from a product unsuitable for construction, you can make a curb of the track by placing specimens on the edge at an angle of 45 °. To get a unique masterpiece in the form of a garden path with an original masonry pattern, you can organize a composition from a battlefield and a whole brick.

How to make a path out of broken bricks: stages of work

In order for the end result to please with worthy decorative and functional characteristics, one should adhere to the technology of paving garden paths.

Planning

When planning a brick walkway with your own hands, the following points are taken into account:

  • the width of the path is chosen so that two people can freely pass along it;
  • the distance between the object to be drawn up and the trees is at least 2 meters, otherwise the growing roots of the plantations may eventually lead to the destruction of the base of the structure.

Tools and materials

When building a garden path, you will need the following tools and supplies:

  • tape measure, pegs and cord for marking;
  • shovel - bayonet and shovel;
  • tamping tool;
  • hammer - rubber and ordinary;
  • rule, trowel, brush;
  • container for preparing the solution.

To process uneven edges of broken products, you will need a grinder with a diamond blade.

In addition to the main building material, you should take care of the availability of:

  • sand and crushed stone of medium fraction;
  • Portland cement brand 400;
  • geotextile.

It is also worth having on hand a garden wheelbarrow for moving materials, a hose for final surface treatment with water.

Foundation preparation

When deciding how to make a road out of broken bricks when organizing a country landscape, the following algorithm for preparing the foundation is performed:

  • along the marking line, it is necessary to remove the top soil with a depth of 20-25 cm;
  • the trench is sprinkled with a leveling layer of sand 2-3 cm thick and rammed;
  • the entire surface of the trench is covered with geotextile;
  • non-woven fabric is covered with a layer of sand 2-3 cm thick;
  • the next is a drainage layer of crushed stone 10 cm thick;
  • then the drainage is covered with sand and a second layer of geotextile is laid.

Forming a curb

The perimeter of the trench is framed with a border. Here you can use a concrete solution or plastic products. It is also important to apply a brick border, laying it on the edge. Fastening the curb structure is carried out in different ways: using cement mortar, steel reinforcing elements or other convenient means. After the formation of the curb, a dry cement-sand mixture is poured onto the geotextile and the composition is leveled, using the rule, taking into account the runoff of water from the surface.

brick laying

When paving a garden path, one of the simple masonry options is used, including:

  • classic spoon dressing in the form of a longitudinal pattern;
  • herringbone pattern at different angles;
  • "braid" single or double;
  • alternating horizontal lines with vertical ones.

Broken brick according to the selected pattern is laid on a prepared cement-sand surface:

  • when laying, the stones are tapped with a rubber mallet for a better fit;
  • sagging specimens need to be lifted by pouring sand under them;
  • after laying the material, a little cement-sand mixture is poured onto the surface;
  • then, using a brush, sweep the composition to fill the seams.

At the end of the installation work, the surface is spilled with water to seal and set the seams.

Final processing

The last points of installation, including filling the joints with a cement-sand composition and water procedures, must be repeated after 2-3 days, when the cement sets well.

Practical tips for the long-term use of a broken brick garden path:

  • so that the surface of the sidewalk does not deform under the influence of moisture and temperature changes, the stones are treated with a water repellent or moisture-proof varnish;
  • if a clay brick is used, before installation, the material is treated 2 times with a hydrophobic composition by completely immersing the product in a liquid and drying;
  • the validity of hydrophobic agents is 5 years, after this period of time it is necessary to re-treat the pavement surface. The service life of the facility is also affected by the level of intensity of operation.

The potential of broken bricks, especially if the material is used in different colors, allows you to create interesting compositions, which is confirmed in the works of the masters.

Some ideas can simply be built with bricks. Some will require bricklaying and mortar skills. You can entrust this to specialists, or you can learn how to do it yourself: when else will such an opportunity present itself? In the end, do not build an aqueduct, the reliability of a Roman bridge is not required here.

Building materials are different. An important place among them is occupied by a brick. However, with all its many advantages, the material is easily damaged. And this means that you have to use broken brick mass.

Peculiarities

A brick battle appears as a result of:

  • demolition of old buildings;
  • overhaul and reconstruction;
  • allocation of low-quality products at brick factories;
  • errors in the execution of masonry work.

In recent years, the volume of broken bricks has been steadily increasing. The number of old houses going for demolition is increasing. Throwing away such garbage, as was the practice in previous decades, is inconvenient and cost-inefficient. Because the wreckage is increasingly sent for recycling. As a result, a broken brick literally takes on a second life.

What happens?

A batch of bricks just released from the factory may be different in purpose. After grinding, the secondary raw material has all the key characteristics of the original product. Ceramic brick batt absorbs relatively little water. It tolerates frost well and has excellent density. If initially the brick contained voids, the specific gravity of secondary raw materials reaches 1400 kg per 1 cubic meter. m, if it was solid - it increases to 2000 kg per 1 cu. m.

Chipped silicate material does not survive the cold well, in addition, it easily absorbs water. The specific gravity of hollow silicate cullet is from 1100 to 1600 kg per 1 cu. m. For a whole product, these figures vary from 1800 to 1950 kg per 1 cu. m. If the original brick was fireclay, it remains refractory. At the same time, liquid water and water vapor almost do not penetrate inside.

But there is a gradation not only in terms of the origin of brick scrap. There is also a division by size. If only particles no larger than 2 cm across are present, the product is referred to as fines. Anything more than 2 but less than 4 cm is already an average fraction. The largest brick scrap has dimensions from 4 to 10 cm.

For ease of use, the fractions are separated and supplied to consumers separately. But you can’t immediately sort recyclables by size. Before sifting through special sieves, it must also be freed from all unnecessary inclusions. It is important to consider that we are talking only about a product that is processed under industrial conditions. Anyone who builds a house on their own can even use an uncleaned brick battle.

Positive and negative aspects of the application

There is no doubt that when buildings are dismantled, secondary raw materials are obtained at a bargain price. There are no other aggregates that would be so cost effective. Scrap brick does not ignite on its own, does not support an already developed fire, and can even become an obstacle to it. This material retains heat well, prevents the spread of extraneous sounds. It also surpasses the best grades of oak wood and cellular concrete in strength.

During the construction process, brick battle can be used in any weather. In this respect, it is also superior to natural wood. If you put prepared debris in the ground, they will provide proper drainage. Therefore, they are very useful to use in damp and waterlogged areas. Since the production and processing of bricks guarantee its environmental safety, this material can be used even in housing construction.

Brick fight is easy. Therefore, it can be delivered to the construction site and laid without the use of complex expensive equipment. However, it is worth noting that broken bricks have serious drawbacks. It is very laborious to apply it: all blocks must be carefully freed from mortar and old layers. The cost of a new solution increases dramatically, and the masonry has to be strengthened, otherwise it will turn out to be loose and unreliable.

Why use recycled material?

Brick battle is used in the construction of local highways. It becomes an excellent base for the main cover, the best result is achieved in swampy areas. When it comes to the manufacture of asphalt mass, brick chips of certain fractions may well be introduced into it. And when building temporary (used only in winter and autumn) roads, you can build them entirely from broken bricks. Ceramic cullet can also be used to cover roads in garden associations, when filling holes and cuts on main highways.

Secondary raw materials can replace full-fledged asphalt in the construction of roads serving construction sites. Access roads of this type can last for several years. When the time comes to create a full-fledged road, the previously laid broken brick will be a good foundation. If you lay out the track with broken clinker, it can normally exist for up to 10 years, and where the traffic load is small - even more.

Broken brick can be used in the country. It will help to strengthen steep slopes, reduce the risk of landslides. It is useful for a drainage ditch. In this case, the material is used in the creation of the underlying layers. A similar effect is achieved when laying engineering systems of various kinds. Brick battle is widely used in landscape design. Often, instead of crushed stone, they fall asleep, for example, at the base of an alpine hill.

However, there are other uses as well. Broken brick will help:

  • lay out beautiful banks near a dry stream;
  • decorate flower beds;
  • create a frame for garden paths.

To make a track, small fractions are used. With the help of large and medium fragments, unique ornaments are formed. This is done by pressing the crumbs into the compacted mass of sand. In some cases, it is replaced with concrete mortar. It is recommended to use fragments of hyper-pressed or clinker bricks. A worthy replacement for them in terms of strength will be ceramic bricks of high grades.

Brick battle can be added instead of crushed stone to concrete and concrete mixtures (albeit partially). It is worth noting that such concrete will not be particularly high quality. However, it can be used if the building being erected is not too important.

Brick battle refers to building materials of secondary origin, therefore it refers to a cheap product. Replacing expensive raw materials with it allows you to save material resources, while durability and aesthetics remain at a decent level. When is it appropriate to use a brick fight?

Where does brick fight come from
It is formed either during repairs, demolitions, construction of buildings, or directly in the process of brick production. With poor-quality processing, for example, unsuccessful drying, poor pressing, insufficient or vice versa - very strong firing, a lot of marriage appears, which is classified as chipped brick.

The appearance of marriage can also be caused by various deformations - chips, cracks, inclusions of limestone, etc. The latter is present because clay deposits are often found near limestone deposits. If the clay is not sufficiently cleaned, the brick becomes not as strong as the standards require, cracks and forms a large amount of broken bricks.

The characteristics of broken stone are slightly inferior to other types of secondary materials, which is why its scope is limited. Nevertheless, it remains a durable frost-resistant material with high noise and heat insulation.

Types and applications
By fractions, the brick battle is divided into small (0-20 mm), medium (20-40 mm) and large (40-100 mm). Sometimes fractions of 0-100 and 0-300 mm are isolated. They are determined by sifting directly during the crushing process. You can buy crushed stone at crushing and screening complexes and factories where bricks are produced.

There are few areas of application for this material:
Firstly, this is the construction of roads, backfilling, the organization of railway embankments and the strengthening of field roads.
Secondly, the construction of access roads at construction sites.
Thirdly, backfilling of trenches, mines, wells, pits.
Fourthly, use as an insulating pillow in the construction of walls.
One of its most important areas of application is the function of a drainage cushion in wetlands (both in the laying of roads and in the construction of buildings).

In rural areas, brick breakage, in particular its smallest fraction, is actively used for filling holes on country roads, for arranging paths and as a drainage system in garden plots. A trench with a slope towards the drainage well is covered with bricks, gravel from above, and the topmost layer is made of soil. Thanks to the good drainage properties of this inert secondary material, the system lasts for many years.

Today, brick breakage can be used as a cushion for industrial floors, order floors from professionals at lobtech.ru. As a rule, the fight is not disposed of and is not classified as garbage, as it used to be, but is increasingly being used in construction as an excellent alternative to expensive material. It can replace crushed stone or gravel in the preparation of concrete solutions and thereby significantly reduce the cost of work.
