HOW WE GO TO UNIVERSITY
Now I want to write for applicants. I was going to do it back in September, but all hands did not reach.
My daughter wanted to study at the Faculty of Linguistics. Therefore, after school (with very unsuccessful USE results - 223 points) they tried to find universities to enter. I must say right away that RSUH was considered a priority university, but given that it is possible to apply to five educational institutions, we decided to take advantage of this. Applications were also submitted for the budget, but still they focused on the commercial department, since the USE scores were low.
Moscow State University, MGIMO and HSE were not immediately considered. Payment of 300 thousand a year is still too big.
We went to many different universities. As a result, applications were submitted only at three. The rest of the filing simply did not rise - "sharazhkin's office", you understand this already at the entrance. Of the three universities, after submitting the application, only the RSUH was seriously considered. In comparison with him, the other two were absolutely not competitive.
Choosing this university they did not regret it at all.
As a parent, I am pleased with the following points:
1. The university is located in the very center, a 7-minute walk from the metro. And I understand - if my child goes somewhere in the evening with classmates, then it will not be some kind of suburb, where it is not clear how to get to the metro, and it is not clear how long, but the city center.
I remember well how a couple of years ago they were looking for a girl who left Moscow State University in the evening and never returned home (the girl, by the way, was never found). Therefore, safety and distance from the metro were priorities for me.
2. There are a lot of catering establishments in the area of the university. I counted about a dozen. Plus, they have a very good student cafe in the building (although not cheap).
3. The university often hosts various international conferences, at which students are allowed to attend (my daughter went several times, there were not many students there).
4. You can agree with the teacher and attend lectures that are not in your curriculum. When passing the exams, you will be shown this subject in your diploma.
As they say: the university has a weak English department, one of the best is Spanish. They say they are very strong Sinologists.
So, about admission:
Having submitted applications for the budget and for the commercial department, as a result, we ended up somewhere around 650 for the budget and 350 for the commercial (I am writing approximately, I don’t remember the exact numbers). To be honest, I was shocked. I understood that we do not get to the budget, but also to the commercial one. For a month I almost turned gray :)) When it came to enrollment in the first wave, I did not sleep for two nights. Then I decided that I couldn’t stand it anymore and went to the university. And everything turned out to be completely different from what it seems at first glance. I am writing this on purpose, since it is not written about it anywhere on the forums.
90% of those who submitted applications (both the budget and the commercial department) never bring their documents !!! Not everyone knows about this, but an application can be submitted to 5 universities, to each university for three faculties, and in each of the three faculties - for three specialties. TOTAL: one applicant, if desired, applies for 45 places. That is why so few applicants end up bringing their documents. Someone in the first wave was taken to a not very prestigious university, but for many, it is better to have a tit in their hands. Someone picks up the documents himself, because he is afraid of the number of applications submitted. So, in fact, one place was not enough for us to enter the budget. And it's even easier to enter a commercial one. There is no need to wait. In the first wave, regardless of your place in the list, you come to the admissions office, conclude an agreement. You go pay. And that's all. You have entered!

Package of documents (bachelor's, master's)
The package of documents for filing an application includes:
1. Application filled out according to the sample and signed by the applicant's personal signature.
2. Statement of consent to the processing of personal data.
3. Copy of identity card (passport)
4. A copy of the education document (certificate - all pages, diploma - all pages, etc.)
5. Copies of documents confirming individual achievements (at the discretion of the applicant).
The package of documents should not exceed 5.0 MB. The file format is .pdf.
Documents are considered within three working days from the date and time of their receipt.
Documents sent in violation of the established requirements will not be considered.

Enrollment under contracts
Enrollment to places under contracts is carried out in the presence of:
enrollment consent statements and the original document on education or its certified copy in accordance with the established procedure (or its copy with the presentation of the original for certification of a copy by the selection committee);
contract for the provision of paid educational services.
Respectivelythe applicant must show upNOT LATER THAN THE SET TERMS to the selection committee to conclude a contract and provide consent for enrollment and the original document of education or its duly certified copy (or provide the admissions committee with the original to certify its copy). With absence in the selection committee of these documents, the applicant will not be included in the enrollment order !!!
