How to draw a playful dog

Apply fuzzy strokes around the perimeter of the head to indicate the texture of the fur. 
Add long strokes at the top of the dog's head. 
Give the ears some fluffiness around the edges. 
Cover the surface of the ears with wool. To add volume and depth, darken certain areas.
