Psalm 108 - prayer-curse. It contains the wish “Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.” Psalm 108 is David's prayer to the Lord, asking for vengeance on his enemies who are relentlessly persecuting him. This psalm is replete with curses, mainly directed at one of David's sworn enemies. Many people offer prayers for the death of their enemies. But not all of these prayers reach God. In addition, often evil thoughts directed against someone turn against the person praying. This means that in heaven those prayers that should be heard are heard. This psalm is similar to the cabalistic ritual of Pulse de Nura.

Opening Prayers:

"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Lord Eternal Heavenly Father, You said with Your most pure lips that nothing can be done without You. I ask for your help! I begin every business with You, for Your glory and the salvation of my soul. And now, and forever, and forever and ever. Amen."

“Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfills everything, Treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Blessed One, our souls.”

"Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us"(3 times)

“All-Holy Trinity, God and Creator of the whole world, hasten and direct my heart, begin with reason and finish the good works of these God-inspired books, even the Holy Spirit will vomit the mouth of David, which I now want to say, I, unworthy, understanding my ignorance, falling down and praying to Ty , and asking for help from You: Lord, guide my mind and strengthen my heart, not about the words of the mouth of this cold, but about the words of the mind to rejoice, and prepare to do good deeds, even as I learn, and I say: yes good deeds enlightened, at the judgment of the right hand of Thy land I will be a partaker with all Thy chosen ones. And now, Vladyka, bless, and, sighing from my heart, I will sing with my tongue, saying to my face:

Come, let us worship our King God.

Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ, our King God.

Come, let us worship and fall down before Christ Himself, our King and our God."

"Our Father, who art in heaven! Hallowed be your name yes he will come Your kingdom, Thy will be done as it is in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors, and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”(3 times)

Closing prayers:

“Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfills everything, Treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us, and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Blessed One, our souls.”

“Give thanks to Thy unworthy servants, O Lord, for Thy great good deeds upon us; we glorify Thee, bless, thank Thee, sing and magnify Thy compassion, and slavishly cry out to Thy love: O our Benefactor, glory to Thee. servants of indecency, having been vouchsafed, Master, we earnestly flow to You, we offer thanksgiving according to our strength, and as the Benefactor and Creator we glorify, we cry: glory to You, All-Bounteous God. Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen."

"Theotokos, Christian Helper, Your servants, having acquired Your intercession, cry out to You in gratitude: Rejoice, Most Pure Virgin Mother of God, and always deliver us from all our troubles with Your prayers, One who will soon intercede. We thank Thee, Lord our God, for all Thy good deeds, even from the first age to the present, in us, Thy unworthy servants (names), who were, known and unknown, about those revealed and unmanifested, even those who were in deed and in word: who loved us as and You deigned to give Your Only Begotten Son for us, making us worthy to be worthy of Your love. Grant with Your word wisdom and with Your fear inhale strength from Your power, and whether we have sinned, whether willingly or unwillingly, forgive and not impute, and keep our soul holy, and present it to Thy Throne, having a clear conscience, and the end is worthy of Thy love for mankind; and remember, O Lord, all who call upon Thy name in truth, remember all who desire good or evil against us: for all are men, and every man is in vain; We also pray to You, Lord, grant us Your great mercy."

"Cathedral of Saints Angel and Archangel, with all heavenly powers He sings to You and says: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of hosts, heaven and earth are filled with Your glory. Hosanna in the highest, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest. Save me, Who art thou King on high, save me and sanctify me, Source of sanctification; For from You all creation is strengthened, To You countless warriors sing the Trisagion hymn. Unworthy of You, who sits in the unapproachable light, of whom all things are terrified, I pray: enlighten my mind, cleanse my heart, and open my lips, so that I may worthily sing to You: Holy, Holy, Holy art thou, Lord, always, now, and ever and to endless ages of ages. Amen."

“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, prayers for the sake of Thy Most Pure Mother, our reverend and God-bearing fathers and all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen.”

The psalm could have been written on the same occasion as Psalm IV, i.e. during the flight from Absalom from Jerusalem, when Sovi, Machir and Barzillai, in view of Absalom’s troops, brought food for David and his companions (see Ps. 22_5 v., cf. . ). There is an indirect hint here that David feels some guilt before the Lord (Ps. 22_3). And we pointed out that in most of the psalms originating from the time of Absalom’s persecution, David either directly or indirectly expressed the awareness of his guilt before God.

The Lord is my shepherd, who gives me rest and protects me even in the valley of death (1–4). He prepared a meal for me before my enemies, and showed me mercy, which may protect me all the days of my life (5-6).

. The Lord is my Shepherd; I won't need anything:

"The Lord is my shepherd"- the main idea of the psalm, revealed in detail throughout its entire content. Like a shepherd, the Lord protects and nourishes David.

. He makes me lie down in green pastures and leads me beside still waters,

“Greacious pastures” are meadows overgrown with rich grass, to which shepherds drive their flocks. “Quiet waters”, calm, not violently flowing, formed from heavy rains, which then quickly dry up, and the springs do not dry up, always flowing and delivering water.

. strengthens my soul, guides me on the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

"Reinvigorates the soul"– with his care for David, the Lord strengthens him, “my soul” – Hebraism – “me”. – "Guides me to the paths of righteousness"different facts from life or revelations of his will through the prophets indicates, in case of deviations, the true path of life. So, for example, it happened after the crime with Bathsheba, which the prophet Nathan exposed. – "For His Name's Sake"- an expression often repeated in the psalms and in the Bible in general. It means that the Lord, Who is holy and has no lack in Himself, also requires moral purity from His slaves - people, which is why “directs... to the paths of righteousness” so that man, as a slave and son of God, does not humiliate his Master and Father God with his unworthiness.

. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff - they calm me.

“The valley of the shadow of death” is a valley full of dangers to life from possible attacks from enemies. This is the valley where he was in given time, full of dangers from the proximity of enemies. David believes that the Lord will save him from mortal dangers. – "The Rod and Your Staff"- tools with which shepherds protect their flocks from predatory animals. The Lord protects me with His strength, like a shepherd with a staff.

. Thou hast prepared a table before me in the sight of my enemies; anointed my head with oil; my cup is overflowing.

“Anointed my head with oil”, thanks to the help sent, I feel a joyful mood, external sign which in the East was the anointing of the head with oil.

He lays me down on a green meadow and leads me to quiet water.

I am not afraid of danger, even when I pass through the dark valley of death, because, Lord, You are with me. Your staff and rod are my strength.

In the face of my enemy, You set the table for me. My cup is full to the brim, You have anointed my head with oil.

Until the end of my days, kindness and love will be with me, Lord, I will settle in Your house forever

Text of Psalm 22 in Ukrainian

The Lord is my Shepherd, I will not lack for him

Settle me on the green pastures, send me away to quiet water!

He vigilates my soul, to send me off for the sake of His Name according to the lines of justice.

If I go and want to walk through the valley of death and darkness, then I will not be afraid of evil, for You are with me, Your rod and Your staff will extinguish the stench for me!

You prepared a meal in front of me in front of my gates, You anointed my head with olive oil, and my cup drank over the world!

Only kindness and mercy will accompany me all the days of my life, and I will spend many hours in the house of the Lord!

Psalm 22 in Aramaic (translation from the original Aramaic)

I am your Shepherd. You will never need anything that I want to give you.

If you trust in Me and actually allow Me to be the Shepherd of your life, then I will give you such great peace of mind that it will be like resting in the cool green grass of a spring meadow. And while you learn deeper love and trust, peace will descend on your soul, like a serene, quiet lake. It will be a great refreshment for your inner man.

Preparations are underway to carry out the many tasks that I have set before you. And do not underestimate any tasks given to you by Me. For this is for My glory and honor, and not for yours.

There will be times when, because of My love for you, I will need to lead you into great darkness.

It will be so huge that you will feel as if you are standing on the very edge of the earth, and death is waiting for you below. But always remember that I am still your Shepherd.

In the darkness you may not be able to see Me, but you have My eternal promise that I will never leave or forsake you. If you continue to trust in Me, even through times of darkness, I will once again flood your heart with such peace that you will be able to sit even in the midst of your enemies.

Your joy will be so great that it will overflow into the lives of other people. And as your reward, I will give great and important things into your life. And when you have accomplished everything that I have planned for you to do, I want you to go and live with Me forever and ever!

Many of David's psalms are full of lamentation, but this one is filled with consolation and expresses admiration for the great mercy of God and dependence on Him. This psalm has been and will be sung by many pious Christians with great pleasure and satisfaction as long as this world exists.

(I.) In this psalm David says that he regards God as his shepherd (v. 1).

II. He tells of all the good things that God, as his shepherd, had done for him (v. 2, 3, 5).

III. From this the psalmist infers that he will want no good things (v. 1), that he need fear no evil (v. 4), that God will never forsake him or deprive him of mercy; and so David resolves never to forsake Him or depart from the right path (v. 6). Here, of course, he refers not only to the blessings of God's providence, which made visible his prosperity, but also to the visits of God's grace, received by a living faith, which returned to God in the form of warm prayer, saturating his soul with inexpressible joy. And just as in the previous psalm he represented Christ dying for His sheep, so here he represents Christians receiving the benefit of the care and tenderness of this great and good shepherd.

Psalm of David.

Verses 1-6. In this psalm, David draws three comforting conclusions from three comforting premises and teaches us to do the same. We are saved by hope, and this hope will not shame us, because it has a good foundation. It is the duty of every Christian to encourage himself in the Lord our God; and this psalm shows us that we should take encouragement both from the way He relates to us, and from the awareness of the benefits that we receive from Him through this relation.

I. From the premise that God is his shepherd, David infers that he will want nothing, and that it is good for him (v. 1). Observe here, 1. God's great care for believers. He is their shepherd, and they can call Him that. There was a time when David himself was a shepherd; he was taken from the sheepfolds when he was yet young (Ps. 77:70,71), and therefore knew from his own experience the care and tender feelings a good shepherd has for his flock. He recalled that they needed a shepherd, that a faithful and skillful shepherd was a great mercy for them. One day David risked his life to save a lamb. Therefore, by such examples he illustrates the care of God for His people; and the Savior seems to be referring to this when he says: “I am the good shepherd” (John 10:11). He, who is the shepherd of Israel and of the whole Church (Ps. 79:2), is the Shepherd of each believer individually; the most insignificant will be worthy of His attention (Isa. 40:11). He takes them into his fold, cares for them, protects them and provides them with everything they need with more care and consistency than any shepherd whose main task is to preserve the flock. If God treats us like a shepherd, then we should be like sheep - unoffensive, meek, quiet, silent before the shearers, nay, even before the butcher, helpful and sociable; we must know the voice of the shepherd and follow Him.

(2) On the great confidence of believers in God: “If God is my shepherd, my provider, then I can conclude that I will not need anything that is really necessary for me.” If David wrote this psalm before he took the throne, although he was intended for this purpose, then he, like everyone else, ordinary person, there was reason to fear need. One day he sent his soldiers to ask Nabal for food, another time he himself went with a request to Ahimelech; but at the same time, when he thought about the fact that God was his shepherd, he was able to boldly say: “I will not need anything.” Let everyone who has found God and considers Him as their breadwinner not be afraid to die of hunger. These words imply more than they express. David not only says, “I will want nothing,” but also, “I will have everything I need; and if I don’t have everything I want, I will conclude that either I don’t need it, or it’s not useful to me, or I will have it at the right time.”

II. Based on the fact that God acts as a good shepherd towards him, David concludes that he does not need to fear any great dangers or difficulties (vv. 2-4). He now has the privilege of God's presence and care, so he expects to benefit from them even when he needs it most. Here notice 1. The comforts of the living saint. God is his shepherd, and his God is an all-sufficient God for all intents and purposes. David saw that He was like this, and so do we. Mark the blessedness of the saints - the sheep in God's pastures.

(1.) They are brought to a good place, and are well seated there: "He makes me lie down in green pastures." We receive support and consolation in this life from kind hand God; being our Father, He gives us our daily bread. The greatest abundance is dry pasture for the wicked, who enjoys only what gives sensual pleasures; but to the godly, who tastes the goodness of God in all his pleasures and enjoys it by faith, it is green pasture, although he has little of this world. (Ps 36:16; Prov 15:16). God's decrees- these are green pastures where food is provided to all believers; the word of life is food for the new man. It is milk for babies, pasture for sheep, which is never barren, which is never eaten clean, and which never becomes dry. This pasture is always green and ready to nourish faith. God causes His saints to lie down; He gives them peace and contentment in mind, whatever may be their lot; in Him their souls will live carefree, and this makes every pasture green. Are we blessed with green pasture of regulations? Let us not think that it is enough to go through them, but let us lie down in them and abide in them - this is my peace forever. It is only through the constancy of the means of grace that the soul is nourished.

(2) They are well led. The shepherd of Israel led Joseph like a flock, and every believer is under the same leading: “He leads me beside the still waters.” He who feeds on God's goodness must go in the direction He has indicated; The Lord leads them with His providence, His word, His Spirit, arranges their affairs the best way according to His own opinion, disposes their feelings and actions in accordance with His command, directs their eye, their path and their hearts to His love. The still waters to which the Lord leads them are subject to them; They are not only pleasant to look at - they bring with them coolness and give strength when people are tired and thirsty. God provides His people not only with food and rest, but with refreshment and pleasure. The consolations of God and the joy of the Holy Spirit are the still waters by which the saints recline and make the city of our Lord merry. The Most High leads His people not to stagnant waters where dirt and refuse accumulate, not to a restless sea, not to fast, swirling streams, but to quiet, murmuring waters, for quiet but moving waters are best in harmony with those spirits that flow to God, but they do it quietly. The divine guidance they are under is inferred from the following metaphor (v. 3): “He guides me in the paths of righteousness; into the path of my duties, where He instructs me by His word and guides me by conscience and providence. All believers desire to be led and kept on these paths and never to stray from them. And only those are led to the still waters of consolation who walk in the paths of righteousness. The path of duty is truly a pleasant path. Peace is the work of righteousness. But we cannot walk these paths unless God leads us to them and guides us along them.

(3.) They receive good help if anything troubles them: “He refreshes my soul.”

“He brings me back when I wander.” No creature can get lost faster than a sheep, so it is prone to wandering and unable to find its way back. The best saints know their tendency to wander away and wander like a lost sheep (Ps. 119:176);

they lose their way and turn aside onto side paths. But when God shows them their mistake, gives them repentance and returns them to their duties again, then He restores the soul; and if the Lord had not done this, they would have wandered endlessly and perished. When, after the first sin, David's heart scourged him, and after another, Nathan was sent to tell him: “Thou art the man,” then God strengthened his soul. Although the Lord may allow His people to sin, He will never allow them to remain in sin.

“He heals me when I am sick and strengthens me when I am weak—and thus He restores the soul ready to depart.” He is the Lord our God who heals (Exodus 15:26). Many times we would already be weakened if we did not believe; and it was the good shepherd who kept us from falling.

2. Here notice the courage of the dying saint (v. 4): Having such a special sense of God's mercy shown to me all the days of my life, in six troubles and in seven, I will never lose faith in Him, even in the most extreme need; for all that He has done for me hitherto has most likely been done not for my merit or merit, but for the sake of His name, for the fulfillment of His word, for the fulfillment of His promise, for the glory of His own character and attitude towards His people . Therefore, this name will be my strong tower and it will convince me that the One who led and nourished me all my life will not leave me at the end of the road.” These words mean:

(1.) Impending danger: “Even if I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, that is, even if I find myself in mortal danger if problems as deep as a valley, dark as a shadow and terrible as death itself surround me,” or “though I am in the power of death, I have a death sentence and on all worldly grounds I can look at myself as a dying person, at the same time I am calm.” He who is sick, who is old, has reason to look upon himself as one who is in the valley of the shadow of death. One word in this phrase sounds scary: it is the word “mortal” that we must take into account. This means that there is no demobilization in this war. But even if we are in despair, there are four words that lessen the horror. Of course, we find ourselves in the face of death, but it is only a shadow of death, there is no significant evil in it; the shadow of a snake will not bite, and the shadow of a sword will not kill.

This place is the valley of death; of course it is deep, dark and dirty, but the valleys are fruitful, and therefore death itself brings many fruits of consolation to the people of God.

It's just a walk through this valley, an easy, pleasant walk. The wicked are driven out of this world and their souls are claimed, and the saints make the transition to the next world as joyfully as they live in this one.

This is a passage through some place; they will not get lost in this valley, but will safely reach the mountains of spices, on the other side of it.

(2) What's on with good reason this danger will become insignificant, and we will triumph over it. Death is the queen of horrors, but not for the sheep of Christ; they tremble before it no more than a sheep destined for slaughter. “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. None of these horrors will bother me." Please note: a child of God can meet the messengers of death and accept its agenda with holy confidence and peace of mind. A baby can play over a hole in which vipers live; a child weaned from its mother's breast, weaned by grace from this world, can put its hand into a basilisk's hole, having a holy contempt for death, like Paul, who exclaimed: “Death! Where is your sting? And there is sufficient reason for this confidence:

For a child of God there is no evil in death; it cannot separate us from the love of God and therefore cannot cause us real harm. She kills the body, but cannot touch the soul. What could be frightening about it if there is nothing harmful?

Saints at the moment of death have the presence of God nearby, He is at their right hand, so why should they worry? The good shepherd will not only lead, but also accompany His sheep through the valley, where they are in danger of falling prey to the insatiable wolves. He will not only lead them, but also comfort them when they most need comfort. His presence will comfort them: “You are with me.” His Word and Spirit will comfort them: Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Here the author refers to the shepherd's staff, through which the sheep pass when they are counted (Lev. 27:32), or the rod with which shepherds drive away dogs if they scatter or disturb the sheep. The great consolation of the saints is that when the time comes for them to die, God knows about them (He knows who is His), He will punish the enemy, lead them with His rod and support them with His staff. The gospel is called the scepter of Christ's strength (Ps. 109:2), and it contains sufficient comfort for the saints when the time will come they will die, and underneath them there will be an eternal muscle.

III. From the good gifts of God's bounty towards him, the psalmist now infers the constancy and infinity of His mercy (vv. 5, 6).

Here we can see

1. How highly he extols the gracious dispensation of God to him (v. 5): Thou hast prepared a table before me; You have provided me with everything that contributes to life and godliness, everything that is required for body and soul - for this time and for eternity. Such a generous Giver is God to His people; and this causes believers to extol abundantly the great mercy of God, as David did, who acknowledges, (1.) That he has food to eat, that his table is set, his cup filled, meat to satisfy his hunger, and drink to quench his thirst.

(2.) That God had timely and carefully provided for him. His table was not set with whatever was at hand, but was prepared before him.

(3) That God was not stingy or restrictive, but was generous: “My cup is overflowing, I have enough for myself and for my friends”;

(4.) That he had what was necessary not only for his needs, but also for his enjoyment: “He anointed my head with oil.” Samuel anointed him as king, which was a guarantee of further favor. But it is more likely to be an example of the generosity with which God blessed him, or a reference to the unusual actions of close friends who anointed him with oil (Luke 7:46). Moreover, some think that he still looks upon himself as a sheep, namely, such a lamb as was the only one the poor man had (2 Samuel 12:3), which ate of his bread, drank from his cup, and was on his bosom. slept with him. God watches over His children not only so excellently, but also so tenderly. He generously provides for their bodies, their souls both in this life and in the one that will come. If Providence does not so generously reward our natural life, then it is our own fault that spiritual blessings are not replenished for us.

2. With what confidence did David count on God's favor (v. 6). He said (v. 1), “I will not want,” but here he says more confidently and comprehensively: “Let goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life.” His hope increases, and his faith, being tested, strengthens. Note, (1) what he promises himself: goodness and mercy; all streams of mercy flow from the source of forgiving, protecting, supporting and providing mercy.

(2.) How it will be conveyed: it will follow me, as the water hewn out of the rock followed the Israelite camp through the desert; she will follow him everywhere, under all circumstances, she will always be at hand.

(3) Duration of mercy: it will accompany me all the days of my life, until last day, for whomever God loves, he will love to the end.

(4) Her constancy: all the days of my life; this is as sure as that the next day will come; it will be renewed every morning (Lam. 3:22.23), like the manna that Israel received every day.

(5) Confidence in this: “certainly”16. This is as sure as God's promise of truth, and we know in whom we believe.

(6) Here is a prospect of bliss in a future state. This is how some understand the last phrase: “Goodness and mercy have accompanied me all the days of my earthly life, and when it ends, I will move to better world and I will abide in the house of the Lord many days, in the house of my Father in heaven, where He has many mansions. I’m happy with what I have, but I’m even more happy with what I hope to have.” All this and heaven! Then we will see that we are serving a good Master.

3. With what firmness does he resolve to cleave to God and his duties. We read the last phrase as David's covenant with God: "...I will abide in the house of the Lord many days (as long as I live), and I will praise Him as long as I live." We are to dwell in His house as servants, desiring that their ears will lead them to the doorpost, where they may serve Him forever. If God's mercy to us is like the dawn that shines brighter and brighter until day breaks, then let not our mercy be like the morning cloud and dew that disappears. He who would be filled with fatness in the house of God must carefully discharge his duties therein.

Psalm 22 is one of the most powerful and powerful psalms ever written. It works so quickly and powerfully that after reading it you will immediately feel the changes! The only condition: you need to read thoughtfully, as if passing all the words through yourself.

Psalm 23 does incredible things! It helps those who are in great need of protection and support. Many people who read it in the most terrible moments of their lives said that help came magically, out of nowhere.

This is a translation of a psalm from ancient times Aramaic. We sincerely hope that Psalm 23 will help you overcome all difficulties.

Psalm 22

I am your Shepherd. You will never need anything that I want to give you. If you trust in Me and actually allow Me to be the Shepherd of your life, then I will give you such great peace of mind that it will be like resting in the cool green grass of a spring meadow.

And as long as you learn deeper love and trust, peace will be with you. walk on your soul like a serene quiet lake. It will be a great refreshment for your inner man.

Preparations are underway for the accomplishment of many tasks that I have set before you.
