The balance in Torchlight 2 is not encouraging: on normal, a ranged engineer can remain stationary and act as a melee class, but on hard, the game becomes too difficult. There is no controller support in Torchlight 2 either: everything has to be clicked with the mouse.

Here you can forget about cartoons: the world of this game is gloomy and cruel. I don’t really want to follow the story of another demonic invasion - especially since it is told by non-animated and unvoiced characters in 80% of cases. But the graphics are pleasing to the eye: the change of day and night, lighting, particle effects, detail - until the Koreans complete Lineage 3, Grim Dawn will be the most beautiful representative of the ARPG genre.
Perhaps the main feature of the game mechanics is the combination of two classes without any restrictions. Being both a shooter and a black magician is a pleasure: you cast ancient curses and plague on mobs, and finish off the unfortunate patients with two pistols or a rifle. The rest is a classic of the genre: almost endless leveling, drawings, crafting, and so on.
Grim Dawn has been in early access on Steam for a long time. The authors made 31 builds, and only in the 29th did they add controller support. It's not hard to guess that she's acting up. It will be especially difficult for distance classes: the first 2-3 spells or salvos often fly somewhere behind your back. So it’s better to overcome laziness and sit down at the keyboard and mouse, or play as a melee soldier.
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing
A vampire hunter in a wide-brimmed hat, who came from Japanese comics, is perfectly suited to the Action RPG genre, and the setting of provincial Eastern Europe with steampunk elements is close and understandable to every Russian. Katarina is worth mentioning separately: the aristocrat is controlled by a computer, but you are responsible for leveling up. And if Van Helsing himself relies on the achievements of technology and scientific alchemy, then ancient curses and witchcraft are part of the ghostly lady.
Of course, the authors of The Extraordinary Adventures of Van Helsing tried to avoid the shameful label of “Diablo clone.” For this purpose, a full-fledged tower defense has been added to the game: your lair is periodically attacked by waves of mobs, and between attacks you can form labyrinths, install towers, hide traps - in general, do everything that is done in classic tower defense.
Victor Vran
Imagine if someone took just one class from Diablo 3 (the Demon Hunter) and made an entire game about it. Now imagine that the camera rotates, and you can move by rolling and even jumping. Finally, imagine that the Van Helsing license has already been purchased by competitors - and you get Victor Vran.
This game really adds a lot of Action to the RPG: you can roll away from explosions, you can jump over deadly rays, and double wall jumps will lead to secret areas with stunning loot. Skills are tied to two weapons, which can be switched on the fly. Do you want to mow down small mobs with a scythe and defeat the boss with a rapier? Please. Want to keep your distance? Tesla's electric gun and shotgun are at your service. Or maybe you’d rather have a two-handed hammer and a volume of Blok’s poems (that is, ancient spells)? And this is here too.
The only point is the armor: there are only 5-6 varieties of it, and it is worn as a jumpsuit, and not as several separate items. This may cause rejection for some. And for those who are tired of carrying around a huge bag of green loot in classic ARPGs, this will seem like a pleasant relief.
Diablo 3
Here it is - the crown of creation and a masterpiece of Diablo-building. Many will defend the second part, but to us the two-dimensional graphics of the dawn of the Millennium seem morally outdated. D3 has it all: an abundance of different classes, mountains of loot, an epic plot that is not inferior to other Blizzard creations. But the most important thing is endless pumping. Have you reached the maximum level of 70 in 50 hours? It doesn’t matter: then you can become a Paragon, and that’s another 160 levels, and for each subsequent experience requirements grow exponentially.
A plot is not needed for grinding, because you are a descendant of angels and demons: and who else can you be after spending 2-3-4 thousand rubles on a game from Blizzard!? Feel free to go into the mystical gaps between worlds and clear them of all evil spirits in the name of personal self-improvement.
To the displeasure of the Great Race of PC overlords, it is worth noting that it was the console version of Diablo 3 that reached the top of this rating, and all because of one annoying feature: There is no roll on PC! This simplest maneuver, which allows you to avoid area spells, beam “flashes”, ice traps and other rubbish available in the arsenal of purple and gold mobs, is only available on consoles.
