Good afternoon

I am interested in enrolling in a second higher education degree in General Medicine. What course are you enrolled in and is it possible to transfer some subjects if several years have passed after graduation? Also interested in the passing score upon admission.

Thank you in advance.

07/22/2019 | dean's office

Good morning, Victoria! Every year 3-5 people enter our FFM for their second higher education. You will have to enroll in the 1st year and pass an internal exam in CHEMISTRY. Less than 40 points in chemistry is considered an unsatisfactory grade. If you are admitted, an individual schedule is drawn up for you, taking into account previously passed subjects with “good” and “excellent” marks.

The results of this practical work presented in the form of a poster presentation. To the authors best works speak at a conference of young scientists at Moscow State University and other Russian universities.

The student scientific circle on surgery is very popular. Its participants have repeatedly won prizes at student surgical Olympiads. By the end of the fifth year, students report on the coursework they complete in clinical institutions, scientific laboratories and departments of the faculty. As part of the final state certification, graduates defend theses. The best scientific works Faculty students annually receive diplomas and medals at international scientific conferences and competitions.

Mine entered the FBB in All-Russian, but the Unified State Examination points would also be quite enough for her (it was enough to pass the DVI at 65). Therefore, I’ll tell you about our experience - perhaps something will be useful for you.

In general, specifically by subject.
Biology. It is quite possible to write a list of Olympiads (and it is better to do this). The same Lomonosov in biology is a well-learned program, a little more in-depth than the school one (I think the level of your school is quite suitable). None special abilities not required there. What exactly are your daughter’s difficulties in biology? If she doesn’t like botany and zoology, then that’s okay - there’s not that much material there, it’s not complicated, you just have to learn it “because I don’t want to.” I would put my child on this subject right now - you can improve botany and zoology in 1 summer month. If she doesn’t like cellular and molecular biology, then it’s probably not worth going to FBB - this is, in fact, the very area in which graduates of the department work.
You should start going to biology olympiads in the 10th grade. All-Russian too (for training. Theoretical tasks up to the region inclusive - this is the level of the list ones). At the same time, evaluate the level of preparation and whether you should study somewhere else besides school.

Chemistry. This subject must be understood at the very beginning stage. As my daughter’s first chemistry teacher said, “The periodic table is your official cheat sheet and I will teach you how to use it.” If the child has mastered the basics well, then everything else can be “built on” much easier. You can, of course, solve 20 collections and write the Unified State Examination at 90+. But this is a very labor-intensive process, and you have more than one item. In addition, there is a lot of chemistry at FBB, it is studied quite deeply, and the lack of a base can become a problem right up to relegation. In general, if you are not very good at chemistry, then you probably need a good tutor who will work everything out from the very beginning.
As for the Olympiads, it is better to choose either chemistry or mat-ku. It’s quite difficult to write both (don’t forget about biology).

Mathematics. I don’t even know... Mine had enough of what was given in a non-core class, plus additional classes 1 day per week, which were taught by a school teacher. There was a tutor, but, as it turned out, not a very good one. But she had a very strong school. I don’t think that at your current school they focus on mathematics - perhaps you will need to get this subject in some other way.

Russian. If the school is good, then there should be no problems. For the Unified State Exam, the school curriculum is quite sufficient.

“I can’t even imagine what a student should do to pass FOUR exams with a score of 95+.
Should he not eat, not sleep, but only study?”

Well, 4 exams for 95+ are not necessary. First, subtract points for achievements (last year Moscow State University only gave 10 points for a medal). And secondly, the Olympiads will help you (then 75 points will be enough) - it’s quite possible to write 2 checklists. And then, last year there was some kind of wild influx of All-Russians into the FBB - this year, it seems, there are fewer, which means that the pass rate will also decrease.
About "don't eat, don't sleep." If a child understands a subject and learns it normally from the very beginning, and does not catch it in the 11th grade, then everything goes quite calmly. I can say that my “up to my neck” busy with All-Russian and other tournaments, in the 11th grade I attended barely half of the lessons at school. She began to prepare directly for the Unified State Exam only after last call. At the same time, my lady basically doesn’t sleep for less than 8 hours a day - at 23.00 she goes to bed in any situation (her head, you see, doesn’t work if she doesn’t get enough sleep). But, I repeat, her school was strong - they taught there, and did not train her for the Unified State Exam.

Well, one more thing. There is a pitfall in FBB - English language. It is very desirable to have a B2 level (confident) by the end of school. Simply because there are 24 hours in a day. And the volume of material that falls on first-year students is quite large. In reality, it turns out that if a student does not know at least 2 subjects at a well-in-depth level (math, chemistry, biology, English), then it will be extremely difficult for him to complete his studies. 07/21/2017 14:47:57, Helen67

I finally carefully read your answer (I’m working, I don’t have time).
Thank you very much for the exact answer, you answered so thoroughly and exhaustively.
As for biology, I’m like a would-be mother, I don’t even know what exactly she doesn’t like about it. We had, it seems to me, a very good biology tutor. She prepared us from scratch during the school year to a good passing the OGE(I understand well that the OGE is only a base, nothing more). This tutor, when we started studying, was, in my opinion, slightly shocked by the fact that we had zero knowledge of biology. And, as she later said, it was the first time she saw such a case when the child was zero, and so advanced.
My daughter scored all the tests for the OGE in Biology with straight A's.
Unfortunately, we passed the exam itself with a 4. Apparently, we were unlucky.
What am I talking about? Besides, as I understand it, we have a base, but nothing more. That is, there is no in-depth knowledge. So we are going to try to get in-depth ones in the remaining two years.
True, I don’t know how it will work out with the Olympics.
But I will try to take your advice into account. True, I am careless, therefore, it will not be easy for me to study the issue of the Olympiads. But I'm working on myself).

Chemistry. She's fine. But, again, at a basic, usually school level. And since an in-depth one is needed, it turns out that a tutor is also needed.

Russian language. Here, she passed everything with the highest score with virtually no preparation. Therefore, I think that everything will be easier with him. MAYBE, of course, you will need to practice before the exam itself, but that will come later.
We’re not worrying about this for now.

Mathematics. Apparently, you are right, we need to get it somehow.
Apparently, you will also have to hire a tutor.

Once again I am convinced that it was a shame that we did not bother with a good school earlier.
But now you can’t undo what’s been done.

By the way, our schools are not bad. The best in the area.
But it is not at all at the level at which good schools exist.
But she's English.
And this is our plus.
Our English is just fine.
Here, it seems to me, there is no question.
Here we even took 1st place at some Olympics.
(then my daughter stopped participating in these Olympiads. But, as I managed to notice, the English Olympiads contain many questions that do not at all test knowledge of the language itself, but are related to the general outlook and regional studies.)
In general, we have a lot of work ahead of us.
And it turns out that the only advantages we have are a basic knowledge of chemistry, biology and mathematics and good English.
And the rest is to start and finish ((
Thank you again for working on my topic.

I saved your message. I will re-read and act on it if we go further along this path (which I hope for).
