Chest cough collection - instruction. Breast fee during pregnancy. The use of breast collection in the treatment of cough

When a child is tormented by a cough, parents are faced with a choice: to give him a regular medicine, which will give a quick and lasting effect, or to abandon the "chemistry" and use a natural one. Chest cough collection for children is more useful, since it does not exert additional stress on the weakened by the disease children's organism although it acts more slowly pharmaceutical product... What are the features breast collection when and how to give it to children?

When coughing, which occurs as a defensive reaction to clear the airways, drugs that thin and remove phlegm (mucolytic) are well suited. Natural remedies relieve a coughing fit if, for some reason, you cannot visit the doctor immediately. But it is necessary to use them without appointment with caution: an individual allergic reaction to the components is possible.

Breast collection helps to successfully remove mucus from the respiratory system and gradually improve them: natural herbal ingredients have not only expectorant, but also antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects. Such herbal preparations are different in composition, and in pharmacies they can be found under numbers (the more medicinal herbs in the composition, the higher the number).

Selecting and preparing a drink

Depending on the composition, the collection can be used when various diseases... Here are just a few of them:

  • ARVI;
  • flu;
  • chronic, acute, obstructive bronchitis;
  • laryngitis;
  • pharyngitis;
  • tracheitis;
  • bronchial asthma;
  • pneumonia.

All these are diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, accompanied by the formation of sputum and its difficult separation.

There is an opinion: children under five years old should not be given expectorants. The child's airways are narrow, which will not allow the phlegm to drain fully. But, since it is also impossible to delay its discharge (otherwise it will become a focus of infection), you need to consult a doctor in any case.

When choosing a drug with your doctor, you will be guided by the following factors:

  • the age of the child;
  • the nature of the disease;
  • concomitant diseases.

A chest cough collection for children under one year old is not suitable, since the multicomponent composition can cause allergies. It is recommended to brew any one plant. Thyme, licorice root, coltsfoot, chamomile, ivan tea are suitable for this. For example, pour 1 teaspoon of thyme with 300 ml of boiling water, insist until it cools down and give the child 1 teaspoon 4 times a day to drink.

For children from one year old, formulations with a minimum amount of ingredients are best suited. Older children (from 5 years old) can take fees 3 and 4, but only if they are not allergic. For example, in breast collection No. 4 - wild rosemary, a highly allergenic plant, therefore, the dosage cannot be exceeded, and if a reaction is detected (itching, redness of the skin, rash, edema), immediately stop treatment with this remedy.

Breast collection No. 2 for children has anti-inflammatory and mucolytic effects, strengthens the immune system. Most often it is used for laryngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis. It contains 30% licorice and plantain root and 40% coltsfoot leaves. The product should be taken warm, 4 times a day, 100 ml, shaking before use. Store it in a cool place and no more than two days. The course of treatment is two to three weeks until complete recovery.

If you purchase filter bags with chopped herbs, they are easy to brew by pouring a glass over one bag hot water and covering with a saucer for better infusion. Filter bags are handy when you need a decoction for ingestion or for rinsing. If you got a composition from dried herbs, you will need to strain it after brewing.

Instructions for preparing a drink.

  1. Pour a tablespoon of raw materials with 1 glass of not hot boiled water.
  2. Bring to a boil, keep in a water bath, covered for 15 minutes.
  3. Cool for 45 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Strain the infusion through cheesecloth in four folds, squeeze out the rest.
  5. Dilute the infusion with boiled water at room temperature, bringing to a volume of 200 ml.

How to take the collection correctly

For the therapy to be safe and effective, some simple rules must be followed.

  1. Observe the instructions on the preparation of the broth indicated on the package. If your doctor recommends different brewing methods and dosages based on your child's characteristics, listen to him.
  2. You need to drink the product before meals, in small sips, slowly. But if the child is very small, and besides, he has problems with gastrointestinal tract, it is best to drink the infusion of reduced concentration and dose, and certainly after meals.
  3. Make a schedule. Approximately the same time should pass between receptions.
  4. Healing drinks can be alternated(of course, after consulting a doctor) so that the child's body receives more nutrients.

The chest collection for cough, which has an expectorant effect, should not be taken simultaneously with antitussive pharmaceuticals - they block the cough center of the brain and / or reduce sputum production. Sputum discharge will be difficult, it will begin to stagnate, and the causative agent of the infection can therefore spread throughout the respiratory system.

Table - Age norms receiving breast collection

Children over three years old can add a little honey, jam or lemon juice to the drink.

Chest collection is often used for inhalation. The finished infused broth must be poured into the reservoir of the inhaler (nebulizer) and let the child breathe for 7-8 minutes. Only dry coughs are not helped by inhalation.

How to deal with a dry cough

Clear Airways and remove toxic substances allows moist cough... Therefore, doctors call it "productive." You are helping your child by giving him mucolytics. But a dry cough is "unproductive." It will not allow the body to cleanse itself, but only intensifies spasms in the bronchi and irritates the larynx. Dry cough chest preparations containing chamomile, thyme, eucalyptus, and sage can help ease seizures, reduce inflammation and irritation in the airways, and stimulate the passage of phlegm. In addition, they have a disinfectant effect. You can drink them, and even gargle them with them.

Sage is great for healing. It has useful vitamins and acid, it also has an expectorant effect. Here's how to make it (recipes are suitable for children 2 years and older).

  1. Pour 200 ml of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of dry sage and boil for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Insist for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Give your child a warm drink before bed every day until the cough disappears.

Sage cough for children can also be prepared with milk.

  1. Pour 1 tablespoon (or 1 filter bag) of sage with 1 cup of milk and bring to a boil.
  2. Cool milk to room temperature, then boil again.
  3. Strain the milk through cheesecloth in four layers so that no grass particles are left in it.
  4. Put a small piece in the milk butter, cover the glass with a saucer, let it brew.
  5. Warm up before use. You can add a little honey or sugar to milk (from 3 years old).
  6. Give a drink to your child before bed, then wrap it up warmly.

There are sage lozenges in pharmacies that you can use anytime your baby has a coughing fit. Some types of such lozenges are recommended from the age of three, but they are usually used from the age of six.
When treating, a child needs constant attention and advice from a pediatrician. In addition, for effective treatment, it is always necessary to select herbs according to the characteristics of a particular patient. Getting rid of the main symptoms is not enough: only the doctor will determine whether your baby has fully recovered.

In addition to such means as breast collection for children, there are many others that the doctor can also advise: compresses, chest massage, rinsing, warming up, inhalation. Comprehensive treatment will help you in short time cope with the disease. Other important recommendations: make sure that the child does not get hypothermic and does not get tired, give him vitamins and healthy food, walk with him on fresh air, - all this strengthens the immune system. And diseases, as you know, are always easier to prevent than to cure.

Contraindications

The fourth breast collection is approved for use in children from the age of three. For newborns, infants, as well as babies who are only 1 - 2 years old, the remedy is categorically contraindicated. It is advisable to give crumbs a herbal decoction made from one component (for example, from chamomile, willow-herb, lemon balm, etc.). It is dangerous to give mixed herbal teas to crumbs.

Marsh rosemary, which is in the composition of the drug, can cause dizziness, headache, nausea, so it is extremely important not to violate the recommended dosage.

Instructions for use

"Collection No. 4" can be prescribed in the treatment of cough with difficult to separate phlegm. It will help thin the phlegm and drain it out faster.

This cough should not be confused with a dry and unproductive or barking cough. They require a completely different treatment, based on antitussives, designed to extinguish the intensity of the cough reflex.

From the pharmacy collection, you can prepare an infusion and a decoction.

  • Broth. Prepared from the collection, which is sold in cardboard boxes. 2 tablespoons of raw materials are mixed with a glass of boiled water, which was pre-cooled at room temperature. After the grass "disperses", the glass is placed in a small ladle of water and boiled in a steam bath over low heat for about 15 minutes. Then the broth is cooled, filtered, brought to the volume of one faceted glass, diluted with boiled water.
  • Infusion. In this manner medicinal drink can be prepared from loose mixture of herbs and from filter bags. The bags are simply brewed with boiled water, as long as it is not boiling. It is optimal if the water has cooled down to a temperature of 80-90 degrees. Dry mix medicinal plants similarly, they are brewed in a glass or ceramic container, covered with a lid for 20 minutes, then filtered and given to the child in the amount that corresponds to his age.

Age dosage and rules of admission

Children can take the fourth breast collection no more than four times a day. The optimal frequency, indicated by the manufacturer in the instructions, is 3 times a day. Moreover, it is advisable to hold the first reception before lunch, so that the parents have time to assess the condition of the child and understand if there is any allergy to the drink.

It is best to take the remedy at regular intervals half an hour before meals.

A single dose of the drug depends on the age of the child:

  • From 3 to 5 years old, children are not given more than 4-5 teaspoons of the broth at a time.
  • Children from 6 to 10 years old - maximum single dose is 2-3 tablespoons.
  • Children from 10 to 12 years old - up to 5 tablespoons of infusion or decoction of breast collection at one time.
  • Adults and children over 12 years old - half a glass at a time.

Before giving the remedy to the child, shake the infusion well so that there is no sediment, and slightly warm it up, because in a warm drink medicinal herbs reveal their medicinal properties faster and better.

take it uncontrollably and arbitrarily is not worth it. Parents can make a mistake with the type of cough, with the dosage, with the assessment of the allergenicity of the drug, and this can greatly harm the child. Be sure to check with your doctor.
  • It is strictly forbidden to combine the intake of the fourth breast collection with the intake of antitussive drugs, which reduce the formation of phlegm. Otherwise, the sputum will go away worse, will begin to accumulate in the bronchi, which can cause the development of pneumonia.
  • It is necessary to treat a child for coughing with a phyto mixture only in cases where when he has a wet or moist cough.
  • You should immediately stop taking the drug if the child develops an allergy to it within 12 hours. Most often it manifests itself in the form skin rashes, itching, local burning, nausea, lacrimation, indigestion may occur. At severe allergies the cough will become more intense, a dry runny nose, dizziness will appear.
  • Herbal treatment does not cancel out traditional medicine therapy, after all severe form bronchitis or pneumonia cannot be defeated solely with the help of phytotherapeutic fees. Therefore, most often, such formulations are prescribed as an adjuvant to the main drugs.
  • What kind of breast collection can be used for children, this question is of interest to all parents. Of course, the selected breast cough collection for children should be harmless and not cause an allergic reaction.

    Of course, for the treatment of a baby's cough, every mother is in search of the safest remedy. Today, a chest cough collection for children is the best option.

    Initially, it is necessary to understand exactly what breast collection is possible for children and in what quantity. So. what is breast collection in general. First of all, the main components of any breast collection is a set of certain herbs, dried flowers, and plants. The main criterion by which you can distinguish one set of herbs from another is healing effect and the length of the recovery cycle. In turn, several rules have been established, based on which there are a number of herbs that in mandatory should be included in the chest collection. These include:

    Herbs that provide an antitussive effect (plantain, calendula, coltsfoot);

    Antibacterial herbs (sage, mint, yarrow, eucalyptus);

    Plants containing fortified microelements (currant leaves, rosehip, hawthorn).

    Modern pharmaceutical market presents a wide range of similar products, among which you can find breast fees 1,2, 3,4. Among general indications, which are provided in each of them, the main ones can be distinguished:

    Eliminate the inflammatory process;

    Remove phlegm;

    Reduce cough

    Localize bacteria;

    Get rid of painful sensations and sore throat.

    As for the cough in children, a properly selected chest collection frees the airways from excess phlegm and dead epithelium. From a medical point of view, it is categorically not recommended to start self-medication in this way. In addition, it is also considered a crime to "save" your own child from coughing without having the slightest idea about its symptoms. The cough is a so-called "protective zone" due to which the airways are freed from the accumulated mucus during colds and other inflammatory processes. To get rid of thick mucus, doctors prescribe all kinds of mucolytic agents, sometimes at a fairly high price threshold. In turn, breast collection in comparison with drugs has quite significant advantages:

    Naturalness of the components. included in the collection;

    Affordable price;

    Long-term efficiency.

    But. as with any other drugs. breast fees also have some disadvantages:

    Long course of treatment;

    Allergic reaction to one or another component of the collection.

    It is known that it is worth treating children for cough with herbal preparations from the age of three. Also, we must not forget that the dosage of this natural preparation requires a correct and individual approach to each child. In this case, it must be taken into account: height, weight, stage of the course of the disease. portability to a particular component. V this case you cannot do without consulting a doctor. At the right choice baby breast collection, don't ignore the exact dosage this tool... In order to specifically and timely decide on a particular children's collection, you should know that the minimum number of components is contained in the set number 1, respectively, 4 is the most diverse herbal "ensemble". In turn, parents of babies under one year old are advised to relieve coughs from coughs with a minimum herbal collection. It should be said that in the chest fees of the third and fourth grade includes a poisonous herb - wild rosemary. Therefore, in order to avoid all sorts of undesirable consequences, adults should carefully study the information on the dosage of each of the sets of cough herbs. The experts have defined the basic principles for the preparation of breast fees:

    The brewing procedure should be carried out in a water bath for at least 10-15 minutes;

    The broth is infused for 30 minutes;

    The most common brewing ratio is: 1 tablespoon of the herb and 2 cups of boiled water;

    As for the application, to a large extent the prescribed dose depends on age category children. So. for example, babies under three years old are recommended to use 1 tablespoon of the ready-made infusion for 2 times a day. For children under eight years old, 2 tablespoons are enough to get rid of a cough 4 times a day. Herbal cough remedy for children over 10 years old is needed in an amount of 100 g when taken four times. So. knowing which collection is suitable for this or that age category of children, it is worth remembering that diseases of any breast collection can "win". Namely:

    Cold;

    Pneumonia;

    Tuberculosis;

    Laryngitis;

    Bronchitis;

    Tracheitis.

    Prepared breast collection, taking into account all the requirements, will avoid various allergic reactions to fundamentally eliminate any ailments in the throat and the urge to cough. The composition of any of the fees not only localizes foci of cough and sore throat, but also significantly strengthens immune system child. Effective treatment, economical price, safety helps all types of breast collection to occupy a leading position among all drugs and medications against cough. But do not forget that self-medication attempts cannot always be effective and safe.

    Thus, the correct selection of the breast collection for children will avoid lingering cough and will not allow the use of any medications and antibiotics. It should be remembered that a child's breast collection is different from an adult's.

    Breast cough preparations vary in composition and use

    Many parents do not know that the plants sold in the pharmacy are quite strong medicines. Healing herbs included in breast fees can cause dangerous reaction organism. They actively influence the course of the disease:

    1. Collection number 1 treats tracheitis and laryngitis. The breast contains well-known expectorant herbs such as coltsfoot and licorice root, as well as oregano. Collection facilitates coughing and reduces inflammation.
    2. Collection number 2 contains plantain leaves, as well as all the same coltsfoot and licorice root. It not only helps the discharge of phlegm, but also softens the cough, and also helps to cope with the inflammatory process.
    3. Collection No. 3 is similar in action to collection No. 2, but has a different composition. It contains licorice and marshmallow roots, anise fruits, pine buds and sage leaves. Both of these collections are recommended for pneumonia and bronchitis.
    4. Collection number 4 helps with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and pneumonia. The collection consists of chamomile and calendula flowers, violet herb, mint leaves, licorice root and rosemary shoots, it has a bronchodilator, expectorant, anti-inflammatory effect, and also gives a tonic effect. However, wild rosemary shoots are a strong allergen, therefore, the dosage must be strictly monitored, and when the first signs of an allergic reaction appear, stop taking the infusion.

    It must be remembered that all herbal kits sold in pharmacies are intended for adults, not for children. The dosage of the infusion for the child is determined by the doctor. You should not do this on your own, as the body's reaction can be very strong.

    The easiest way to prepare the infusion is by purchasing a packaged collection or a separate herb at the pharmacy. The bag is placed in a glass, poured with boiling water and covered with a lid. The resulting infusion is suitable for both rinsing and internal use. An infusion prepared from a set of herbs should be filtered before use.

    Brewing instructions

    To prepare the breast milk collection, see the enclosed instructions on the package.

    To prepare the infusion, unless otherwise indicated on the pack, you must:

    • take a tablespoon of herbs in a glass of boiled water;
    • boil over low heat and hold for 15 minutes under the lid;
    • cool;
    • strain through a clean cotton cloth, such as 4-fold gauze;
    • dilute with boiled water so that 200 ml of infusion is obtained.

    Method of use

    There are rules that allow you to take herbal infusions with health benefits and without the risk of causing unwanted reactions in children:

    • the infusion is prepared according to the instructions given on the collection box, or according to the recommendations given by the attending physician;
    • it is recommended to drink the medicine before meals, but for babies and those children who have an out-of-order stomach, it is better to do it after eating, and dilute the infusion a little to lower the concentration;
    • it is best to take the infusion at regular intervals;
    • infusions can be alternated to obtain a greater effect, but the composition of the herbs must be agreed with the doctor.

    A dry cough is different from a wet cough, so it is necessary to choose a treatment option that is suitable for this particular case.
