Treatment vsd. Vegetative vascular dystonia symptoms treatment

vegeto vascular dystonia is the scourge of the 21st century. Most people faced with such a disorder are unaware of the causes of its occurrence and possible consequences. To be fully armed, you need to know the enemy in person and be able to stand up for the health of your body.

Vegetovascular dystonia is not a pathology, but a disorder of the autonomic nervous system, characterized by unpleasant symptoms and poisoning life. Such an unpleasant ailment can haunt a person who is characterized by suspiciousness, impulsiveness, resentment, anxiety for a long time.

Often this disorder goes unnoticed because it masquerades as many different illnesses and is usually mistakenly treated with unnecessary medications. Such dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system can occur after prolonged experiences, stress, serious loss, overexertion, illness, surgery, severe fright, concussion, trauma, and a number of other reasons.

Most often, VVD affects young people aged 15 to 45 years. It is during this period that a person is faced with an overstrain at school, college, at work, becomes a parent and experiences the first strong feelings in a relationship. Many of these "lucky ones" are not even aware of problems with the nervous system, attributing their symptoms to chronic fatigue, and intensively begin to search for the disease in their body, alternating different doctors. But, usually, such walking does not lead to a positive result, because drug treatment does not give a lasting result in VVD.

Interesting fact!

Today, about 80% of the population suffers from VVD in various manifestations.

Signs of VVD

It is worth mentioning that the symptoms occur due to increased production of adrenal hormones - adrenaline and cortisol. This phenomenon can cause a feeling of lack of air, heart palpitations, pressure surges, nausea, vomiting, trembling, cold sweat, faintness, darkening of the eyes, alternating flushes of cold and heat, severe pressing pains in the head and heart, numbness of the limbs. A set of symptoms is called a panic attack, which occurs suddenly and lasts like a paroxysm, causing fear of death in a person.

Often such people call an ambulance in a panic, but upon the arrival of doctors, the condition stabilizes without medication, sometimes it is enough for the patient that the paramedic will measure his pressure. Seeing a positive result on the tonometer, a person calms down and understands that if the doctor is nearby, then he is safe, but he is afraid of a second attack. Such fear can give rise to new panic attacks, because the patient is in the waiting mode for symptoms, and thanks to the suspicious psyche, he receives a new portion.

Another part of people suffering from VVD may not experience panic attacks, but suffer from a constant headache that goes away during sleep and resumes after waking up. Having become accustomed to this condition, such people begin to abuse painkillers and risk getting diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

A competent doctor will immediately distinguish VVD from other pathologies, since according to the results of analyzes and examinations of such a patient, no deviations will be detected. The most correct outcome would be to refer the patient to a psychotherapist who, without medication, will help to cope with the disorder of the autonomic nervous system.

Important!

During an attack of VVD, a person’s pressure can reach 220/100, and the pulse can reach 200, but this does not indicate pathologies of the body, but is explained sharp highlight the hormone adrenaline.

Irrational nutrition partially forms vegetative neurosis and can cause vagoinsular or sympathoadrenal crises. Thus, by putting your diet in order, you can achieve good results in the treatment of vegetative-vascular dystonia.

The diet, which is prescribed for manifestations of vegetative neurosis, is characterized by the following features during the period of treatment and in the future to prevent re-deterioration of health:

  • Exclusion of semi-finished products, canned food. Such products contain chemical additives that allow them to for a long time keep fresh and fit.
  • Exclusion of salt and caffeine. These products are ways to lift arterial pressure, which is too unstable in vegetative-vascular dystonia.
  • Exclusion of spicy, fatty or smoked foods. Such products create an additional burden on the pancreas and liver, thereby complicating the work of the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Mandatory intake of B vitamins. This substance is found in large quantities in meat, fish, dairy products, vegetables, cereals, eggs and many fruits. A variety of foods allows the diet for NCD to be useful and not often repeated.

Physiotherapy

Normalized physical exercise and loads during VVD strengthen the body and train its respiratory and cardiovascular systems. At the same time, the manifestation of symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia decreases. But, physiotherapy with VVD, it should be used only under the strict supervision of a trainer or exercise therapy doctor, who will help determine the correct physical activity, the optimal training scheme and knows how to cure VVD with their help.

Any exercise should be combined with the right diet. After all, when exercising, a certain amount of calories is lost, which must be replenished. It is necessary to provide the body with a sufficient energy resource before spending it on physical activity.

Therapeutic exercise is very often used for vegetovascular dystonia and includes one of the sports. Any physical exercises for VVD, which are prescribed by a trainer or doctor in the gym, must meet certain requirements in order to protect the person's condition from possible deterioration in health.

Features of training for people with VVD:

  • The program of classes should be individual, taking into account the characteristics of the state of health of a particular person.
  • It is impossible to combine long-term cardio loads and strength exercises.
  • Perform each exercise in stages with short breaks to restore strength.
  • Heavy physical activity and endurance exercises are unacceptable for people with VSD.
  • Plays an important role breathing exercises with VSD. Performing each exercise, a person must breathe correctly.

Non-traditional methods of therapy

This includes almost all origins. oriental medicine which are only gaining popularity. Also to unconventional methods treatment of VSD with folk remedies should be attributed. A rich variety of all ways to deal with the symptoms of the disease allows you to choose the best option.

Acupuncture

More this method called acupuncture. It consists of inserting thin needles at a shallow depth into the skin to act on specific points. These places on the skin are projections internal organs that can be influenced.

Acupuncture in VVD can eliminate pain syndromes, soothe and improve microcirculation in those organs that an alternative medicine specialist is trying to influence.

Most often, this technique is combined with more traditional treatment regimens in order to achieve the most effective result. A big plus of acupuncture is that it practically does not cause any side effects.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy has become more widespread. It uses the physical factors of nature (light, heat, water, mud mixtures) for treatment. specific disease. The properties of such methods have been studied over the years, modified to obtain a better effect, and now they are widely used along with medicines and other methods of treatment.

For the treatment of VVD, electrosleep, electrophoresis, which are based on the use of low-frequency current, are most often used. Magnetotherapy has become widespread.

As a physiotherapy, a contrast shower in the morning and the appointment of special baths are also used. Depending on the type of VSD, their variety may differ. If the sympathetic autonomic nervous system predominates, sulfide and carbonic acid baths are most often used. With the predominance of the parasympathetic autonomic nervous system, the use of coniferous and radon baths will be more successful.

Massage

Massage treatment is of great importance for eliminating the symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia. Particular attention is paid to cervical region and waist. With the help of manual therapy, it is possible to achieve relaxation of human muscles, improve microcirculation in soft tissues and stimulation of blood circulation. Massage of the collar zone and head can relieve pain syndromes, improve well-being and even help restore cognitive functions.

The course of vegetative-vascular dystonia causes the occurrence of characteristic seizures or crises that worsen a person’s condition and violate the body’s self-regulation. To eliminate it, a number of actions are taken:

  • A change of scenery. In many cases, the crisis arises due to external circumstances.
  • Access to fresh air. It is advisable to move either to the street, or open a window, get rid of squeezing clothing.
  • High pressure. If blood pressure is elevated, one tablet of an antihypertensive agent (beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers) should be taken.
  • Soothing. This may be a tablet remedy for VVD or other drugs with a sedative effect.
  • Corvalol or valocordin 20 drops in water or a teaspoon of sugar.

If a person has lost consciousness, do not panic. In such cases, you need to know exactly what to do and in what order. First aid for VVD in this case includes only the first two actions and an attempt to bring the person to his senses. It is necessary to lay the patient on a hard surface and raise the legs.

First aid for VVD in case of loss of consciousness consists in provoking olfactory receptors with ammonia or vinegar. Even after a person has come to his senses, it is not recommended to get up abruptly. You need to rest and take the necessary medicines.

First aid for VVD should be provided by those people who are nearby, regardless of whether they are doctors or not.

Pharmacotherapy

A variety of symptoms and medications causes natural dilemmas, how to treat neurocirculatory dystonia. There are opinions about the inappropriate use pharmacological preparations for the treatment of symptoms of neurocirculatory dystonia.

Despite this, every specialist wants to help the patient and cure VSD times and forever. Therefore, it is necessary to prescribe those drugs that will most effectively cope with this task.

No remedy for vegetovascular dystonia can cure a person completely. No research on this moment cannot confirm the absolute effectiveness of such drugs. That is why, so often the question is whether it is possible to cure VVD at all.

The diagnosis, including VVD, can be corrected and all treatment of the psychovegetative syndrome is based on this.

First aid for VVD includes medications that improve blood microcirculation in the brain, soothe and return to normal. Therefore, the application pharmacological agents still useful, even if only in small quantities.

It should be well understood how to deal with VVD with such drugs before taking them. The appointment should be handled by the attending physician who knows how to get rid of VVD forever.

Treatment of vegetative vascular dystonia includes:

  • Pressure correctors. Drugs that help to overcome low or high blood pressure and return it to normal.
  • Sedatives. Help a person get rid of irritability and anxiety.
  • Anxiolytics. Powerful drugs can eliminate the symptoms of anxiety that causes psychovegetative syndrome.
  • Vitamins. Used for the treatment and prevention of VVD in adults and children.

Vegetative-vascular dystonia is a complex and multifaceted disease that requires qualified and comprehensive treatment. Timely contact with a specialist will save time and health of the patient.

Only a doctor fully understands the specifics of this disease and knows how to treat vegetative vascular dystonia so that its symptoms never return. Also, therapy should be aimed at preventing the recurrence of vegetative vascular dystonia.

Hello dear readers! Do you know what kind of disease such vegetative-vascular dystonia is?

This pathology has many more terms: vasomotor dystonia, angioedema, panic attack, psychovegetative syndrome, functional cardiopathy, cardiac neurosis, neurocirculatory dystonia, autonomic dysfunction, etc.

In many countries of the world, an increasing number of the population suffers from symptoms of a seemingly “non-existent” disease. However, physicians of all countries came to the same conclusion - vegetative-vascular dystonia is not some other, but a pathological condition of the body, characterized by a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system.

Now let's find out what functions the autonomic nervous system (VSD) performs. First of all, it ensures the regulation and control of the functions of all internal organs, and also helps to maintain homeostasis (physiological balance internal systems organism) and, finally, takes part in the regulation of a large number of processes of a physiological and biochemical nature.

The system is responsible for the frequency of contractions of the heart muscle (HR), the process of urine formation, sweating, heat transfer; the release of insulin and adrenaline into the blood, the activity of the digestive system, the width of the pupils and bronchi, the level of blood pressure and much more.

Summing up, it can be noted with confidence that all systems of our body are under the control of the autonomic nervous system: excretory, circulatory, endocrine, cardiovascular, digestive, and so on.

Symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia

Some experts argue that vegetative-vascular dystonia cannot be an independent disease, but a syndrome of some other disorder in the body: from physical or mental overwork to diseases that need treatment.

Depending on which signs predominate, VVD is divided into three types: bradycardic, tachycardic and cardiological. Cardiological (cardiac) type is expressed in the form of stabbing, sharp pain in the heart, which may occur not only in physical activity but also in a state of complete rest.

These pains are of a long aching nature and are repeated at regular intervals. As a rule, young people with an asthenic physique, who do not tolerate physical activity, are physically underdeveloped and untrained, are prone to cardiological syndrome.

Tachycardia syndrome affects mainly older patients. They complain about palpitations due to an increase in the number of heart contractions - more than 90 beats per minute.

The bradycardic type of IRR is much less common and is characterized by a decrease in heart rate to 40 or even lower beats per minute. In such patients, there is a pre-syncope state, they complain of dizziness, aggravated by physical exertion. The syndrome is accompanied by irritability and often changing emotional state.

Other symptoms of VVD: suspiciousness, anxiety, panic attack, sudden emotional swings, drowsiness, tinnitus, fainting, fainting, weakness, dizziness, headaches, etc.

Reasons for the development of vegetative-vascular dystonia

The main cause of the occurrence of VVD is a factor of hereditary predisposition. On the formation of the personality of the child, the development of his brain and central nervous activity frequent stress and increased nervousness of the mother during pregnancy can have a significant impact.

In adolescents and children, the development of vegetative-vascular dystonia is provoked by sedentary image life, disorder endocrine system, diseases chronic course, emotional stress, conflict situations.

As for people of mature age, they start the mechanism of VVD due to hormonal changes in the body. It is for this reason that the female sex suffers from this disease much more often than the male.

VVD diagnostics

Observing the patient, the attending physician is guided to diagnose the disease by the conclusions of other specialists - a psychotherapist, ophthalmologist, endocrinologist, neurologist, otolaryngologist.

There are also additional research: magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), echography, electrocardiography (ECG).

Conservative treatment of vegetative-vascular dystonia

After clarifying the diagnosis, the attending physician prescribes the treatment of VVD - antidepressants and sedatives: amitriptyline, phenibut, diazepam, carbamazepine. Psychotropic drugs: sonapax, mezapam, nozepam, phenazepam, grandaxin.

Drugs that improve blood circulation: cinnarizine, pentoxifylline, a nicotinic acid, vinpocetine. A complex of vitamins, primarily group B.

Currently, physicians are recognized as the most effective tool drug for the treatment of VSD teraligen. It has an effective and gentle effect on the VSD. At the very beginning of the appearance of signs of vegetative-vascular dystonia, there is no need to prescribe potent drugs.

Together with conservative therapy physiotherapeutic procedures are prescribed: acupuncture, classical massage, physiotherapy exercises (LFK) and water procedures.

The term VVD is used in their practice only by doctors of the CIS countries, in the West there is no such disease. As a result, there is some confusion.

Some experts do not recognize the existence of vegetative-vascular dystonia in adults, while others, on the contrary, consider it a conditional nosological form.

The complex of symptoms and causes of dystonia are extensive, so the examination must be comprehensive and qualified. However, in most cases, the syndrome is not associated with any serious illness, being a sign of functional disorders.

So what is it in simple words? Vegetative vascular dystonia is a reduced vital activity of the vessels of the circulatory system, including those associated with infringement or squeezing of blood vessels that supply brain tissue with food in the area cervical vertebra. VVD can turn the life of an adult into hell, because this disease contributes to disruption of the cardiovascular system and gastrointestinal tract, and can also provoke mental disorders.

To find out if it is possible to get rid of vegetative-vascular dystonia forever, you need to know its symptoms and current treatment regimens, including folk remedies. It is these aspects of VVD in adults that we will consider in the article.

Classification

To date, a unified classification of VVD has not been developed. According to various authors, autonomic dysfunction differs according to a number of the following criteria:

  1. By mixed type . Occurs when there is a conflict between parasympathetic and sympathetic. It looks like a struggle for leadership in nervous system and that's not normal either.
  2. hypotonic type.. If during the day the parasympathetic nervous system significantly predominates, the body is overwhelmed with energy, but cannot use its forces, depression, hypotension, etc. occur.
  3. By hypertensive type. If the sympathetic nervous system prevails throughout the day, a person feels a heartbeat, a feeling of fear, the body gets tired quickly, sleeps poorly, the parasympathetic can not cope, and strength is not restored.

According to the nature of the attacks that complicate the symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia, sympathoadrenal, vagoinsular and mixed crises are distinguished. Light crises are characterized by monosymptomatic manifestations, proceed with pronounced vegetative shifts, last 10-15 minutes.

Crises of moderate severity have polysymptomatic manifestations, pronounced vegetative changes and a duration of 15 to 20 minutes. Severe course Crises are manifested by polysymptomatics, severe vegetative disorders, hyperkinesis, convulsions, an attack lasting more than one hour, and post-crisis asthenia for several days.

Causes

Why does VSD occur, and what is it? Vegetative-vascular dystonia is a violation of the autonomic nervous system. The ANS is responsible for maintaining internal balance in the human body, affecting all organs and organ systems. Violations of the work of the ANS are manifested most often in the form of violations of the function of blood circulation, digestion, heat transfer.

In adults, the prevalence of the syndrome is high in age group 20-30 years, while in women, manifestations of dystonia are more common than in men. In old age, the likelihood of developing VSD sharply decreases.

Among external factors, contributing to the appearance of signs of VVD, distinguish:

  • severe stress, depression;
  • severe viral infection;
  • exposure to electric current;
  • radioactive exposure;
  • excessive insolation;
  • unfavorable ecology;
  • alcoholism, drug addiction;
  • insomnia, mental fatigue;
  • traumatic brain injury;
  • protracted bacterial disease(For example, ).

The risk group affects enough a large number of population:

  1. Women. Oddly enough, women, by nature, are more emotional, vulnerable and receptive. Respectively, mental condition easier to break.
  2. Adolescents, pregnant women, women during the onset of menopause (sharp hormonal disruptions).
  3. People whose work is closely related to traveling (constant acclimatization), a sedentary lifestyle.
  4. Men and women diagnosed with cervical osteochondrosis.
  5. Living in constant psycho-emotional discomfort.
  6. VVD can occur in people who have suffered birth trauma, oxygen starvation, even at birth.
  7. Suspicious and stressed people are also at risk.
  8. People in whom the majority of family members are diagnosed with VVD (hereditary predisposition).
  9. Suffering from chronic diseases.

The disease manifests itself with certain symptoms that occur paroxysmal or are permanent. Moreover, the presence persistent symptoms speaks of the innate instability of the nervous system.

Common signs of VVD in adults

Vegetative-vascular dystonia in adults has very different symptoms, depending on whether weak point in an organism that responds to a stimulus.

However, most often, experts note such signs:

  • flushes of heat;
  • vasospasm;
  • superficial sleep;
  • and even legs
  • fainting states;
  • strong heartbeat;
  • apathy and lack of strength;
  • severe lack of air;
  • frequent headaches and even migraines;
  • in all its manifestations;
  • internal trembling and various manifestations of fears;
  • joint pain, regardless of and;
  • cold hands at any time, even at positive temperatures and heat;
  • neurotic deviations from overexcitability to active passivity.

This is the most characteristics VVD, which adults often ignore, attributing to individual physiological characteristics.

Symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia

In the case of vegetative-vascular dystonia, the symptoms are very diverse, which is due to the multifaceted effect on the body of the VNS, which regulates the main autonomic functions - respiration, blood supply, sweating, urination, digestion, etc.

In this regard, there are several groups of symptoms of vegetative-vascular dystonia in adults according to the predominant violations of the activity of various body systems. These disorders may occur in isolation or in combination with each other:

  1. In the cardiovascular system: violations of the heart rate (acceleration or stop), fluctuations in blood pressure, pain in the left half of the chest;
  2. In the respiratory system: a feeling of lack of air, suffocation, shortness of breath, shortness of breath, rapid breathing;
  3. V digestive system : nausea and gag reflex, flatulence, belching, heartburn, constipation and diarrhea;
  4. In the thermo-regulatory system: chills, coldness in the extremities, increased sweating, fever against the background of stress;
  5. in the vestibular system: dizziness, pre-syncope;
  6. In the urinary system: frequent urination, pain and itching in the genital area;
  7. V emotional sphere : anxiety, anxiety, phobias, increased fatigue, decreased performance, constant emotional stress, low mood, tearfulness, appetite and sleep disorders.

The course of vegetative-vascular dystonia may be latent, may be permanent, or may manifest paroxysmal (vegetative crises). Most often, crises occur against the background of mental and physical overstrain, with increased emotional stress, as well as with various infectious diseases. Their duration can vary from several minutes to several hours.

Attacks of exacerbation of VVD

An attack of vegetative-vascular dystonia begins abruptly, suddenly. A person suddenly has a heartbeat, blood pressure rises, the skin turns pale, the body temperature rises and chills develop. During an attack, a person has a pronounced intense fear. After the crisis, a large amount of light urine is released and severe weakness develops, up to trembling in the legs and the inability to move normally. In the period after the crisis, a sharp decrease in blood pressure is possible.

In addition, exacerbation of the VSD can occur in the form of a vagoinsular crisis. It is characterized by the appearance of a sharp faint, which is preceded by short-term pre-syncope phenomena (for example, darkening in the eyes, noise in the head, severe weakness, a feeling of unreality of what is happening). Also, during an attack, a person may experience a sharp and strong pain in the abdomen, an imperative desire to empty the intestines, increased organ motility digestive tract, decreased blood pressure, bradycardia, increased sweating, as well as a feeling of heat, nausea, melancholy and pronounced fear.

VVD diagnostics

To figure out how to treat vegetative vascular dystonia, it is necessary not only to diagnose the disease, but also to determine the cause of its development.

Therefore, in order to correctly diagnose VVD, professionalism is necessary, as well as the coherence of the work of such specialists as a cardiologist, neuropathologist, therapist. It is necessary to weed out other diagnoses that have similar symptoms.

To do this, you will have to pass certain examinations:

  • computer electroencephalography,
  • electrocardiography,
  • magnetic nuclear resonance,
  • vegetative tests.

Of course, diagnostics will be assigned based on the results of a conversation with the patient, after reading his complaints.

Treatment of vegetative-vascular dystonia

When vegetative-vascular dystonia is detected, treatment is carried out depending on the type of the syndrome, and the therapeutic strategy should also take into account other existing somatic diseases.

The treatment package includes medicinal methods management of VVD and non-drug methods, which can sometimes be very effective and even replace basic drug therapy.

Therefore, treatment with this syndrome should not begin with the use of medicines but with changes in diet and lifestyle. It is necessary to observe:

  • adequate regime of work and rest;
  • balanced and healthy diet;
  • an adequate level of physical activity;
  • rejection of bad habits;
  • elimination of occupational hazards;
  • avoiding stressful situations or developing stress resistance;
  • normalization of the body mass index.

The following methods also have a great effect on the cure of VVD:

  • water procedures;
  • reflexology;
  • massotherapy.

Also, the physiotherapeutic effect will depend on the type of dysfunction of the autonomic system.

  • with vagotonia, electrophoresis with calcium, caffeine and mezaton is prescribed.
  • with sympathicotonia - with papaverine and bromine, magnesium and aminophylline.

If these activities, which are aimed at a general strengthening effect, do not help much, then they are prescribed pharmaceuticals. They are selected individually for each patient, start with minimal doses and gradually bring to the desired concentration. Particular attention is paid to getting rid of chronic foci of infection in the body, treatment of endocrine and other pathologies.

Drug treatment of VVD in adults

Treatment of vegetovascular dystonia is carried out mainly according to the symptoms. It is impossible to say exactly which drugs will be prescribed for treatment, it depends on the characteristics of the case, they are selected only after examining the patient.

First of all, antidepressants and tranquilizers are prescribed. The dosage is selected based on the severity of the symptoms. In addition to them, antihypertensive drugs are prescribed or, conversely, caffeine to raise blood pressure. B vitamins, ginseng and beta-blockers are considered mandatory.

A special group in the treatment of VVD are nootropic drugs(such as "Nootropil", "Piracetam"), which have the ability to improve energy processes and blood supply to the brain, increasing the resistance of the brain to oxygen starvation. These drugs activate intellectual functions, improve brain memory. However, they cannot be taken on their own.

Consider some drugs used in the treatment of vegetative-vascular dystonia:

  1. Persen. Has a calming and relaxing effect.
  2. Novo-passit. A drug plant origin has a pronounced sedative effect, helps in the fight against fears and anxiety.
  3. Corvalol. Calms the body, promotes normal sleep. It also has a slight relaxing effect.
  4. Valocormid. It has an antispasmodic, relaxing and cardiotonic (reducing the load on the heart) effect. Corrects the excitability of the nervous system.
  5. Normatens. An agent that fights hypertension. Also, the drug causes vasodilation, minimizes the overall resistance peripheral vessels. Makes physiological sleep deeper.
  6. Azaphen. Eliminates anxiety, improves mood, eliminates sadness.
  7. Vinpocetine. medicine that improves cerebral circulation. Produces a vasodilating effect.

Thus, the range of drugs used to treat VVD is quite wide. This is due to the fact that, along with the treatment of the underlying disease, it is necessary to carry out effective symptomatic therapy aimed at stopping the painful manifestations of VVD.
